"Don't you dare run across the street! Give me your hand, Sjajan Lynn!"
Indu grabbed her child's hand and forced her to wait for the few cars on the road to pass them, before starting across the street.
"Uhhhhnnn!"
Jani strained to go faster than her mother wanted her to and Indu sighed, letting her go once they touched the opposite curb. Once the babe had learned to walk and somewhat run, it was more of a hobble, she wouldn't stop. Right now she was taking the blond girl to choose some movies from the rental store. Indu didn't like television, but she felt it was only fair to let Sjajan make her own decision about it.

"Oh! Look at Jani!" A hyper young voice squealed. Mignon reached towards Jani, one hand held by a large man dressed in a green tunic. He was around six foot tall, with long ears and a dragon tail.
"Nope!" He said, yanking her back, because Mignon had nearly ran into a car herself. After waiting untill the danger of being flattened was over, Dhee crossed the street and let Mignon free.
"Jani has gotten so big!" Mignon gushed, leaning down and grinning.

Indu eyed the man suspiciously, stepping slightly between the children and him and sticking out her hand.
"I'm Indu. Who're you?"
She'd never seen anyone else but Jeane with Mignon...
Jani giggled and beamed up at the taller girl before stretching her hands up high.
"Mig bih!"

Dhee reached out and shook her hand, grinning. "I'm Dhee. Don't worry, I'm not some crazy kidnaper."
"He lives in our barn 'cause Mommy kicked him out 'cause he was growling at her." Dhee stared down at her.
"Why don't you, you know, not talk about that. I'm back in now, anyways." Dhee looked slightly uncomfortable. "Heh, uh, so...."
"Last time I saw you, you weren't walking." Mignon beamed.

Indu immediantly warmed to him and a wicked grin spread across her face, she had no tact.
"Oooh, so you're the one who knocked up Jeane, eh? Heheh..."
Jani stared up at the man and promptly reached out to pull his tail. Kuio had a tail... Were they the same? After giving it one more sharp tug she lost interest and toddled away from her nosy mother, attempting to push open the video store's glass doors.

"Yup!" Dhee said, not at all abashed. "She said she'll talk to some doctor person and they'll show her what the baby looks like." He looked pleased.
"Okay, let me help!" Mignon said, adding her weight to the door.
"You stay away from the adult section!" Dhee warned.

"Good on yah, boy! I can't wait to see the kid, wonder if it'll have a tail...? Jani... You wait... Aw... GO ahead. But no porn this time..."
Jani giggled, still not knowing what porn was and followed Mignon inside. SHe'd never been in a movie store and her eyes grew wide at all the tapes and dvds.
"Air now...?" Where now...?
"So... How's Jeane taking the whole preggers thing...?"

"I think we should stay away from the cartoons." Mignon said, sighing. "I still 'member how Mommy yelled at me after last time." Frowning, she looked around and pointed in a random direction. "Let's go this way!"
"She's a very violent lady." Dhee said, straight faced. "Every time I mention that it would be wonderful if our baby had a tail, she screams and throws stuff at me and cries. She broke my nose last week." Of course, Dhee wasn't telling that he'd nearly bitten her arm off before she broke his nose.

"You're a dashing fellow, so I'm sure you deserved it. The handsome ones always do. I sympathize with Jeane. You're kind of weird."
Jani trailed after her older friend, amazed at her speaking ability... When would she be able to do that? It was no fair. She felt so stupid... Maybe she just wouldn't talk, that way, people would think she was mean, not stupid.

"Awww. That's not nice." Dhee pouted, tapping his tail on the ground. "But thanks for the handsome comment." He grinned, rougishly.
"What's the matter, Jani?" She asked, leaning down a bit. "See anything good yet?"

She folded her arms across her chest and raised both her brows.
Jani clamped her mouth shut and glanced around, shaking her head slowly. She didn't see anything, not that she could read...

"Oh, she's laying down. Couple of the little monsters were fighting earlier and gave her a headache. So, I told her I'd take the little screacher out." Dhee stretched slightly.
Mignon tilted her head to one side before leaning over to tickle Jani's sides. "You're being a big sillyface, just like Kilah." She scolded, looking around. She pointed to one case. "I know that guy, he's Bloomy! Mommy thinks that Bloomy is a very cute elf."

She really didn't know what to say to the guy. This was kind of awkward.
Jani squirmed and scowled, moving away. Who was Kilah? She wanted to ask but... She sounded so stupid! She nodded instead and pointed to Bloomy's box.

Mignon put the box down and looked higher up on the shelf. "That looks good!" She said, pointing at the box. Since she wasn't quite tall enough to reach it, she started to scale the display to get the box she wanted.
Dhee nodded, not noticing Indu's uncomfortableness. "So, is your little Jani a good girl, or is she trying to kill other children in their sleep?"

[Indu had to go do what she does when she's not doing what she's doing. O_O]
Jani watched the display start to tip almost in slow motion, tumbling out of the way and forgetting her vow not to speak.
"Mihee!"
Her tiny hands clamped over her mouth as she stared in wide-eyed horror.
Indu burst into laughter and shook her head.
"Oh, she tries to kill me in my sleep, not other children. She loves other kids. She's not a bad girl, just a naughty one... I've gotten the impression that Mignon is a handful? She seems like a darling, but they all look that way to someone who doesn't live with them."
