That's precisely the question I'm asking here. Well, a little more eloquently than that, but you get the idea. You know how in sympathetic magick, photos and the like can stand in for someone as a witness (or in MitshSpeak, a proxy)? That's precisely what I want; a miniMitsh that for all intents and purposes, is me. The best way to do this, I think, is to get some poor lass preggers make a homuculus of sorts. I'm pretty damn sure I can't make one of the traditional kinds of homunculi (y'know, the walking, talking kind), so instead I want to use something else to make one - maybe by making a clay doll, sticking in a passport photo plus some blood, sweat, semen, breathing life into it, all that wonderful stuff. However, I'd like to ask of everyone: What sort of things I could use to make something more "me". What I should use as a base for the homunculus (a clay doll? an incredibly hawt-looking Ken doll?) If you have any links to articles on sympathetic magick or homunculi. If you have any pre-established rituals for this kind of thing. Your experiences with homunculi or sympathetic magick in general. etc. Cheers in advance!

Make a clay sculpture and add the stuff you mentioned to it as you charge it and breathe life into it. I would suggest giving it a specific purpose or instructions so it doesn't turn against you, and giving it a finite lifespan.
I feel you're competent enough to figure out the details. I've always heard this method called "making a servitor" before, which is sort of what you want, right?
I've never used it myself, but I feel there must be something to it.

Servitors are kinda different though, I want a corporeal proxy instead of a magickal one, cause magickal ones are a tad more difficult to make. Cheers for the advice though |3

I'm focusing not on making the wee fella do s**t for me, just to have him there to be like, the symbolic epitome of Mitsh, so that, for example, any spells normally directed at me would target this homunculus-esque thing instead.

Ah, like a firewall for yourself? I get it. I still say go with a clay sculpture filled with your... stuff.

I had a dream that I had a baby boy this morning, except now I've forgotten every detail about it. I bet anything that it pertained to this idea somehow. DX

I've sometimes heard the phrase homunculus in psychology. Is there a difference between this homunculus and a psychological homunculus? And how is it pronounced? Ha-monk-cue-less?

Terg I've sometimes heard the phrase homunculus in psychology. Is there a difference between this homunculus and a psychological homunculus? And how is it pronounced? Ha-monk-cue-less? The only thing I found with regards to a psychological homunculus is the " homunculus argument" on wiki, which didn't help much. X3 There's also discussion of sensory and motor homunculi, but they're to help folk understand brain function or something similar. As for pronounciation, I go by the good ol' Full Metal Alchemist pronunciation, "Ho-MUNK-you-luss", stress on second syllable.

And interestingly, the same recipe that's in the tabletop RPG "Unknown Armies", albeit with minor alterations involving stomach acid and blood from the femoral artery. Just goes to show the creators really do their homework. |3
