I claim this land for Illumin~ LOCATIONS: The Pantheon - Illumin's Rooms: Illumin's chambers in the Pantheon are best summed up by this layout image. He no longer lives there, and hasn't been there in years, but the rooms remain and could be quite nice again if they were ever cleaned up. The small storage room belongs to Panacea; though she hasn't been there for years, Illumin has preserved the room as she left it. The Pharos Beacon: The Pharos Beacon is a large lighthouse on the coast, an hour's flight from the Edelsteine shop. It is a graceful structure, made of white stone and taller than anything else for miles around. The tower is a graceful upward spiral of ivory stone, vaguely reminiscent of the horn of a unicorn. A small and graceful hall rests at the tower's base, and the room at the pinnacle where the great lenses and lamps are kept is walled in pure glass. Illumin lives in the Beacon now, and has taken the nearby town of Solde-on-Palecliff under his protection; he considers it his 'capital', of sorts. Though Light himself would never consider the Beacon to be a temple, no small number of mortals do... Solde-on-Palecliff: The area around the Pharos Beacon suffered greatly during Gehenna, but it has largely recovered. The coastline has revived with Creation's return, with ample fishing and fertile rolling hills. The town of Solde-on-Palecliff has now nearly recovered to pre-Gehenna population levels; they got a good boost during Gehenna itself due to being under the direct protection of a god, and one of the only places with constant, reliable light prior to the restoration of the sky. The fishing fleet of Solde has been rebuilt, as has the town itself. Pretty much all those living in Solde either worship Illumin openly and willingly, or at least know exactly whom they owe their prosperity to. NPCs:(Aiode) Eibhilin Eibhilin was the first Aoide to rise again and seek Illumin out, his first and most trusted servant. Eibhilin, whose name means 'light' in Irish, knows she is frightening but actually has quite a sweet and gentle heart, only allowing herself to give in to her base nature in defense of her lord. If allowed, she'd happily mother Illumin - but as she's not, she settles for taking care of him and his things. She is a caretaker, but when roused she is most fierce in battle. The feral banshee is not to be taken lightly.
Before Illumin faded, she served as his High Flame - his trusted aide when calm, and the leader of his armies in her wrathful banshee form.
Nowadays, though, Eibhilin is mostly warm and friendly, and commonly calls other people (besides Illumin) 'love' and 'honey'. She speaks in a bit of a brogue. [ image ]
(Aiode) Eliam Formerly one among many, Eliam alone remained faithful to Illumin as the only one of his advising Aoidei that did not turn traitor on him in the past. Though he finds his lord's attitude on several points to be a bit annoying, he tries to give Illumin the best advice possible, and even to delicately sidestep his orders when he knows it would be the best for their overall cause. He is more formal and diplomatic than Eibhilin, but they work well together as a team.
Eliam's duties in the past, besides advising, were largely diplomatic - designed to increase Illumin's influence and bring more followers to his banner. Eliam carries a lantern with him always. It bears inside a flame of pure light, granted by Illumin, that never goes out.
As penance for Illumin's freeing Samyaza, Eliam was sent to exile for an Age, in place of his master. He went willingly, but Illumin deeply regrets and mourns the loss - even if temporary - of this faithful servant. [ image ]
(Aiodei) All Those Treacherous Little Bastards Illumin did not meet his original end in the Fading as so many other gods did. Instead, Light-In-Glory grew fat, indolent and supping on the worship and supplication from millions upon millions of believers - so many that he could not possibly tend them all. So, instead, he ruled a dozen Aoidei, who took care of his 'sheep' for him. Each was assigned to one land where he ruled as part of their pantheon under different names (for example, as Ra in Egypt).
After millennia at this task, as Light himself grew more arrogant and cocksure, the Aoidei revolted and began skimming power off the top. Light-In-Glory did not notice this, and slowly, a plan was devised. In the end, Light-In-Glory was killed as all but two of his Aoidei revolted against him. It was not hard to gain the power of a demigod when the Aoidei were the only face of Light that their mortal followers had ever known. Thus, they stripped Light-In-Glory of his power and destroyed him, taking on his many names and ruling as demigods in his stead after his death.
Nowadays, Illumin is waiting to be sure of his power before going after the traitors still living. I have not yet decided how many are still around, but the names they stole were Ra, Apollo, Yhi, Xiuhtecuhtli, Palk, Bel, Gibil, and Arama. I plan for at least three of them to require a takedown.
Details of the backstory for these characters can be found starting here and ending here.People from Around the Beacon The Pharos Beacon has many people living around it in farmsteads, and in the nearby bustling trade city of Solde-on-Palecliff. Originally, were a suspicious lot that had any faith they once possessed wrung out of them by Destruction's effects on their land and the sea that sustained them.
However, the dramatic effects of the Gehenna event, combined with Illumin finally deciding to not be an aloof jerk >>; resulted in him winning some followers from the survivors of Solde-on-Palecliff. There are now a good three hundred people living in the town.
Alvir is their leader, an old man who was once a fisherman, the mayor of the town. He is blunt, uncomplicated, and says what he thinks. He takes his duties as leader quite seriously and uses his life experience to steer the people of Solde as he once steered his ship.

And this is for Tian Yue, yar... LOCATIONS:At the Pantheon: Go here for all the information anyone needs on Tian Yue's rooms. The Gallery of Celestia: Not sure if it belongs here as it's from a metaplot quest, but as Tian Yue will assuredly want to visit it again... I copy-paste Ivy's description. the gallery of celestia was once a miracle of architecture. Great archs of thinnest spun glass, platinum and mithril laced asymmetrically over a wide spanning floor of a single slab of clear marble (veined with cobalt glass like miasma and copper flecks) through which visitors could see the black and light-pricked edges of space between their feet. The arches were both decorative and served as light-hearted byways to other platforms (each of a different material then the clear marble depending on what 'room' it was meant to be) above (reached by flying or climbing the nouveau lattice. Scrims of varying shades of violet used to decorate the expanse. Gathered pinpoint stars and colourful nebula lit or accented crystal-form furniture and statuary and other offerings which were strewn about with light-hearted care. The feel of the place was once whimsy and awe of the vastness and sheer beauty of space.
Now, a visitor would be hard-pressed to find an arch that yet stood. The offerings and art that decorated the place are missing, broken, or hidden beneath the remains of the higher platforms. It is a ruin, alone in space and cold of voice or habitation for millenia. The Gallery of Celestia itself is magical such that, once alighted into, shields and breathing apparatuses are no longer necessary. The Gallery has now been destroyed because of the effects of Gehenna. Sniffle. The Cosmodrome: A spaceport about an hour's flight from the Pantheon. It once had high arches and lots of glass, a 50s-style retro-future complex serving many types of starship. When Tian Yue encountered the Cosmodrome, many families live inside the Cosmodrome, guarding it and the precious food it contains quite zealously - and their ships, of course, if they were stranded cosmonauts. After Gehenna, the Cosmodrome is experiencing a time of great revitalization. With the restoration of the sky, the cosmonauts and travelers are eager to resume their journeys through the new heavens. Nearly all of the inhabitants of the Cosmodrome are part of Tian Yue's community. The Nova Bandit: A small starship, docked at the Cosmodrome when not in use. The Nova Bandit is a former asteroid miner refitted and tweaked by her captain, one Jax Corvus. It has a strellite warp core capable of subspace warp travel. It also has an artificial intelligence in its main computer - Mechanized Intelligence Zero, or MI0, called "Mio" by the crew. Wildflower Suites: A former hotel in the same town where the Pantheon is located, abandoned during Gehenna. Shartha has made her den in the once-penthouse suite. Other creatures do live in the hotel, but mostly on the lower floors, and they do not bother the large and clearly cranky dragon. Lao Shu also lives here. The area is much nicer now, of course, but nobody has stepped up to reclaim the building, leaving it to Shartha and those she tolerates as 'roommates'. NPCs:(Aiode) Toki Once Shaiming's valet and trusted servant, this Aoide is... not quite right in the head anymore.
In the past, Toki was a true gentleman, an excellent and efficient member of Shaiming's retinue. However, in the time since the Fading, Toki's mind and sanity have eroded, leaving him still loyal and intelligent, but far too easily intimidated and shaken into a nervous wreck by difficult circumstances. He can no longer be depended upon in a crisis, and his foresight is a bit lacking. The Aoide will also deliberately avoid circumstances he feels are uncomfortable, even if it would be better for him and those he serves to not do so.
Still, Toki is devoted to Tian Yue as Tien Lung reborn, and in private is just as good a servant and aide as he ever was. He's a capable caretaker, never so happy as when he's on a mission or job. He's also quite a good cook, and resourceful, though he tends to go to the limit to find what he needs, not stopping until he has it - as evidenced by taking six hours to bring a cup of tea because they were out, and that was how far he needed to go to get more.
The rabbit ears that Toki wears are fake; nobody is quite sure when he started wearing them, only that he certainly didn't have them back before the Fading. [ image ]
(Aiode) Nebula - deceased This enthusiastic Aoide seemed to be newly born, not hailing from Tien Lung's past. Still, she seems devoted to him all the same. Nebula showed up after Halloween, after a terrifying incident with a black cat plushie that Toki brought home with him. What was an adorable toy became a horrible nightmare... and, eventually, revealed Nebula.
The feline Aoide is very affectionate; she loves snuggles, cuddles, pats, licks, you name it. She's very touchy-feely and while she tries to act professional, she's more forthright and forward about her own needs than Toki is, and is prone to mercurial mood swings. She seems to think it's her duty to care for her deity's... physical needs... and has become secretly jealous of Morgan's own closeness to Tian Yue because of this.
Nebula was taken as host to Phaedra, Goddess of Greed. Under Phaedra's not-so-loving care, Nebula's previous emotional intensity only increased and became far more unstable. The inevitable end was perhaps a mercy as her mind broke utterly under the strain.
[ image ]
(Aiode) Xing Yun Xing Yun was born after the Fading, and was set to sleep by Elder Aoidei to awaken when the gods returned. Unfortunately, the spell was a little too good - it didn't break until the Gehenna-wave forcibly destroyed it. Xing Yun journeyed to the Pantheon, seeking a god to serve. In her youth, she had boasted that someday she would become a servant to a Dragon King. That drove her to seek Tian Yue after she awoke. Her motives may have been vain as a child, but her desire to serve is genuine, and she seems a capable and trustworthy sort.
[ image ]
Captain Jax Corvus The Captain of the starship Nova Bandit, whom Tian Yue met while on his 'Remember the Stars' quest. Jax is in his upper forties, a grizzled and loud man who's forward, blunt, and doesn't believe in speaking anything but the level truth. And by loud I don't mean hyper - he's just loud over all. He takes up space, sneezes like a car backfiring, and projects his presence over everything in range. You KNOW when Jax Corvus is around.
Jax is gruff and calculating, very suspicious, and slow to trust - but once you've earned his trust he's yours for life. He loves space and the Nova Bandit dearly and cares for Penny almost like a daughter. However, Jax is also angry... at life, in general, and at the gods in particular. His son Marten died in a freak accident and his heart has been darkened by rage ever since. However, faced with the ultimate evidence of the existence of gods, Jax has come to believe, if only out of self-defense.
Jax towers at six feet, ten inches tall, with a bulk nearly to match - he's no bodybuilder, but he has a grim strength. His hair is greying rapidly at the temples. He has a square chin and beady eyes, and a touch of wildness to his smiles. Jax has the bad habit of chewing on toothpicks, an affectation gained since becoming a starship captain - it's a bad idea to smoke into a contained environment system, after all.Penny 'Dreadful' Halloway Penny is 27 years old, but she seems older than that - the recent hardships in her life have aged her beyond her years. She is the navigator and unofficial first mate on the Nova Bandit.
The event that robbed Jax of his hope in life and his son also stole something from Penny - Marten Corvus was her lover. Because of this loss, there is a surprising sadness around Penny at times, but she tries to be upbeat as much as she can for the Captain's sake. In contrast to Jax, Penny possesses a desperate faith. She grew up believing in gods, and since Marten's death she's clung ever closer to those beliefs.
Still, Penny can be quite silly - as evidenced in her fondness for tweaking Tian Yue's tail - and also quite perceptive. She can say some surprisingly profound things if you give her time. Penny is Tian Yue's first follower (as Morgan was much more than that) and has been known to seek out the other gods as well. She would never consider herself to be High Priestess, but many of Tian Yue's other followers believe her to suit the role perfectly.
Penny has frizzy red hair, mid-back length, that's quite thick. She usually tames it in a rough ponytail. Her most distinguishing feather is a sharp scar that passes over one cheek, fortunately just missing her green eyes. She never wears makeup and can usually be found in ship's coveralls.the Stars of the Zodiac The Stars of the Zodiac are the spirits of the stars in the Eastern Zodiac - Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Boar. These spirits, invited into the heavens long ago by Tien Lung, have been tied to him as his court.
However, with fall of so many stars caused by the Age of Destruction, the Stars of the Zodiac have been reborn in mortal forms... specifically, animal forms. Sadly, those who have not yet been discovered are presumed destroyed by the eating of the Sky.
The Rat: Called Lao Shu. He was one of the first to find his way to the Pantheon, but before he could reveal himself he was killed first by Toki in a rat trap (the Aoide not recognizing the Star for what he was) and then chased by Nebula for several weeks in a vicious cycle of death-and-reincarnation. Finally, Lao Shu returned to the Pantheon and made himself known to Tien Lung.
The Ox: Not yet found/presumed dead. The Tiger: Not yet found/presumed dead. The Rabbit: Not yet found/presumed dead.
The Dragon: Once called Xue Ling, but known now as Shartha. Her current incarnation was born among the cursed dragons on another world - a race that must bind themselves to humans in order to regain their ability to fly (from the shop Dragon-Bound). Haughty and domineering, likes to poke at the boundaries of her relationship with Tian Yue; requires a dominant hand to control. Does not like humans. Destruction's influence magnifies these traits in her, and she often has to struggle to control them and actually act like the decent being she really is. _______Evin Talbot: Shartha's bound human. A youth with dusty blond hair and green eyes, tall and wiry with some small skill at the bow. His chest is marked with five claw-shaped scars around his heart. Even was once thoroughly intimidated and broken by Shartha; nowadays, they are improving their relationship little-by-little.
The Snake: Not yet found/presumed dead. The Horse: Now known as Gringolet, reincarnated in the form of an Errais. The Sheep: Not yet found/presumed dead. The Monkey: Not yet found/presumed dead. The Rooster: Not yet found/presumed dead. The Dog: Not yet found/presumed dead. The Boar: Not yet found/presumed dead.
When a Star dies in mortal form, their spirit 'jumps' into the nearest available body that resonates with them - whatever is closest of their core species. They overpower the creature's original soul and take control of the body. Many thanks to Ogre and Britain for allowing me to use the concept of an Eastern zodiac-based retinue.

For Revei: LOCATIONSRevei's rooms: Two connected rooms, a large living space and a smaller bathing room. One door leads out to the hallway; this door is the silvered, mirrorlike door that greets visitors. Another narrow door in a corner opens onto a hallway that leads to the Aiode quarters, for the convenience of Revei's three servants. The living space is a high-ceilinged room, rectangular, but with a subtle irregularity of shape. The corners are slightly rounded. The walls and ceiling are of a white substance, hard and slightly cool to the touch; the walls are carved with long bands of near-abstract reliefs, perhaps simply decorative, perhaps representative of the history and myth of Dream. The floor is rough grey stone tile, covered almost entirely with deep, thick rugs of a vaguely Oriental style. On one end of the room, there is a great circular window with a deep sill, large enough to sit in. Below the window is a low raised dais, like an altar; on this platform is a great tumble of featherbed, blankets, and pillows, a deep and luxurious bed. A carved screen stands on the floor below, shielding part of the platform from view for privacy. The rest of the room is sparsely furnished, with low tables and multiple bookcases, and cushions on the floor on which to sit. A couple of heavy trunks provide storage. The bathing chamber is small and circular, with the same white walls and stone floor of the outer room, and contains a deep black-tiled tub set into the floor and clean facilities set into an alcove; while living in a still partly mortal body, one must provide for the needs of that body. Dream - The Thrones: In the heart of Dream, only accessible to those dreamers and beings of Dream who have been given a key, lies a blank white space, limitless and naturally silent; the sky and ground are white, indistinguishable from one another, though there is a definite sense of up and down. A sourceless light illuminates this space. In the center of it, inasmuch as such a place can have a center, stand two thrones. They are tall and elaborately carved, in abstracts that are nearly figurative in places, suggestive of shapes and images in the way that dreams almost make sense. Once, the thrones were alive with subtle, shifting, delicate color, beautiful and imposing, hung with silks and velvets. In the absence of their masters, they have faded to grey, dead stone. Revei's fragmented recollections of the time before the Fading suggest that the heartspace once held gatherings and revelry, courts and judgments, a central space for the lords of Dream to command their subjects. Dream - The Mires: Beyond the Forest of the Lost and the fogbound, unnamed mountain range that contains it, the landscape of Dream flattens out into a seemingly endless moor, constantly overcast and misty, often drizzling with cold rain. Few creatures of Dream live here, and the ones that do are often touched by the hand of nightmare, twisted and cruel, or lost and desperate. The Mires stretch forever within their dreamspace, treacherous and difficult to navigate. The higher points of the rolling land are mostly dry, overgrown with dull tangled grasses, low heathery plants, and thorned bushes. In the hollows and lowlands, however, there are dank and swampy places, mudpits, deep and deceptive pools with occasional islands of tufty, muddy grass. Here and there, dark groves of short and spindly trees grow barely higher than the reeds which tower in the watery mud. Despite its dire and forbidding aspect, a few of the sentient Dream-creatures have made their homes here. Some live in low sod houses or primitive stone huts cut into the hillsides. Others make their homes among the sodden islands in the swamps. Three of its denizens have True Names; all three are extremely dangerous. Dream - The Hall of Mirrors: not yet introduced ICly, highlight to read if you don't mind spoilersIn Pickman's City, there is a carnival on the outskirts, cloaked in perpetual night. If one is brave enough to venture into the midway, one of the attractions that dreamers or Dream-creatures may enter is the hall of Mirrors, a constantly shifting maze, in which every mirror reflects a different and distorted view of the observer. A Dream-creature is relatively safe in this attraction, though it may be lost for hours. A dreamer will be lucky to escape, unless he or she awakens first.
But the Hall of Mirrors has another hidden purpose. If one of the two lords of Dream enters the Hall, he sees his own reflection truly; and some mirrors also reflect the panoramas of other worlds. The lords of Dream may step through these mirrors to travel to the worlds reflected in them. To return to Dream, the traveler must step through the same mirror from which he exited; other routes are longer and more dangerous, even for gods. The Hall is still a confusing place in which is is easy to be lost, but it was constructed to give Dream's masters an easy means of travel.Pandora - The City: not yet introduced ICly, highlight to read if you don't mind spoilersThe City is ancient, tired, run-down and broken and dirty; yet It still holds a thousand thousand wonders in Its depths. It rises from the surface of Pandora and burrows beneath it, level upon level upon level of city, covering the entire planet. Once there were names for the City, but that was long ago, before It absorbed all the lesser cities into Its huge body. Now It has no name other than the one that describes It in Its distilled essence.
The City's economy depends very heavily upon the interstellar luxury market, and wonders of all kinds are produced by Its artisans and geniuses. But this dependence creates a sharp split in the standard of living. In many places, the City is crumbling, dirty, and ill-kept, simply because Its people can't afford to repair It and keep It clean. Parts of the City are better maintained, the ones whose inhabitants can afford to keep it cleaner and better built. Most of the materials for the City's maintenance come from Its own factories and foundries, but the planet Pandora's resources are long exhausted, and raw materials must be bought from offworld merchants or mined from the asteroid belt that lurks in the far reaches of Pandora's solar system.
The staple foodstuffs of the City come from the huge hydroponic farms and crate warrens beneath Pandora's surface, in the depths ofthe City. Farm work is dreay, exhausting drudgery; the most basic of foodstuffs, like the algaes and tank-grown proteins, can be tended by the City's drones, but anything more delicate or valuable must be tended and maintained by human hands. Some of the City's fragmentary personalities resent this fact.
The truly wealthy class of Pandora does not live in the City. Instead, they spend their lives in the skyhook palaces and the Rim, the ring station that orbits Pandora, made from the moons that the planet once had.Pandora - Across the Rim (Skyhook 5X-0.772): not yet introduced ICly, highlight to read if you don't mind spoilersSkyhook 5X-0.772 is the home of one of the richest families of Pandora, Old Money in all the senses of the term. House Avin controls the series of chambers and caverns that produces the fruits and spices necessary for the production of Pandora mistwine, as well as the hidden and guarded locations of the cellars in which this precious commodity ages. Pandora mistwine is known across the galaxy as one of the rarest and finest wines available, its hallucinogenic properties prized by wealthy connoisseurs of rare experiences and by several religious sects. Since before the City, House Avin has guarded the secret of mistwine's production, and over thousands of years it has risen to a position of extreme wealth and secret power.
Skyhook 5X-0.772 has no name, unlike some of the other floating palaces. Within it is a garden paradise that cradles luxurious residences. House Avin permits some of its satellite families to live here as well, as a privilege and not-so-subtle reminder that they depend upon the whims of its generosity.
The central complex of residences is built like a small village, the houses and structures built in spare, simple lines, but of the finest materials available. Beneath the apparent simplicity of the natural materials used in the houses and the temple lies the most advanced technology House Avin can get its hands on, as well as a sophisticated automated security system. Pandora - The Emperor's Collection: not yet introduced ICly, highlight to read if you don't mind spoilersHidden in one of the lower levels of the City, there is a labryinthine museum that contains the Emperor's favorite treasures. The Ageless Emperor has been alive for longer than anyone can remember, and beyond his facade of impartial benevolence lies a coldly calculating and avaricious soul. Over the long years of his artificially extended life, he has collected treasures and curiosities from every corner of the galaxy. This museum contains his collection. Very few outsiders have ever been permitted into the twisting corridors and bizarrely constructed rooms of the Collection, and it is rumored that the workers who built the structure vanished quietly and mysteriously after it was completed. The Emperor walks the halls of his private museum alone when he wants to be undisturbed.NPCs: The koratti & ciafelli The koratti are Revei's dearest and most beloved creatures, his messengers and one of his primary sources of information. When he was first alive, he created them because even he could not be in all dreams at once; the koratti can step from any world into dreams and back with natural ease. They watch and listen, and record what they hear, to play it back for their master; he can also give them messages to whisper into the dreams of mortals or deliver to a specified person. In appearance, the koratti are catlike. They are the size of large housecats, with thick, coarse black fur; but they have the beaked heads of crows, covered with fur and with inky, shining, beadlike eyes. They croak, clatter, and caw; they also purr rustily and mew hoarsely. They have the capacity to record and play back any sound they hear, though the recording tends to be somewhat distorted. Most koratti can only record a few seconds or words of sound. A few more intelligent koratti can remember full sentences or longer sequences. Once a korat records a new sound, the previous one is lost, with few exceptions. Koratti are contrary, flighty-minded creatures. They like attention, and have a knack for recording precisely the bit of sentence that a speaker didn't want heard. When tasked with the delivery of messages, they are mostly reliable, but on occasion a mesage will go astray, of be delivered far after it is obsolete. Most of the koratti are ghostlike, sometimes visible in the physical world, interacting with it only as they choose. Revei's personal pet, Aislin, was given the gift of full physical form by Harmodius soon after Revei's rebirth. As the koratti serve as Revei's ears and mouth in dreams, so do the ciafelli serve as his eyes. There are less of them, and they are more rarely seen; but they are often present within Dream. They are tiny, furred, insectile creatures, with six dragonfly-like wings and multiple jointed legs; their eyes are large and faceted. Their bodies are nearly invisible, transparent with the iridescence of soap bubbles. The ciafelli record tiny snippets of sight in the same way that the koratti record sound. They do not speak, but when they touch Revei's skin, they can project the fleeting impressions of their recordings into his mind. Garnet (Aiode) Garnet was the first of Revei's Aiode to attend him in his new incarnation. She has waited patiently through the eons for his rebirth, and considers it her privilege and her duty to see that he is properly attended. She is a strong and insistent personality. She considers it her duty to oversee the other Aiode and tend to tasks in the outside world. Before she was an Aiode, she was a nightmare creature from the depths of darkest dream; it was no more than a whim on Revei's part to draw her out and make her his attendant, but she is forever grateful and loyal for the chance to be more than a wispy and indistinct horror in the dark. Opal (Aiode) Opal is a silent and efficient Aiode, taking it upon himself to personally attend Revei and see that Revei's needs are met, often before Revei thinks to ask for what he wants. He is patient and does not speak unless itis necessary. He knows much more than he tells. Opal was once a mortal, a worshiper of Dream in the ancient time; for his devotion, he was granted leave to serve forever. He fell into a deep sleep after the Fading, waking only recently when his master's influence began to grow once more. Topaz (Aiode) Topaz is a new Aiode, only recently appeared. She is childlike, curious, often confused and insecure. She is more like a pet than a servant, for now. Topaz was originally a korat. Her curiosity led her to investigate the strange toy gifted to her master; she found herself trapped within it, and broke loose some time later to find herself in an unfamiliar body, without the capabilities she was accustomed to. She has had some trouble adjusting to her new life, though her attention and loyalty is still focused on her master. Renard A slim, fox-headed dream-creature, a trickster and guardian of crossroads. Renard has no true gender, but resembles a teenage boy, wearing either leaves, cobwebs, and tatters or appearing in torn and dirty clothing from whatever world he currently inhabits. He has been a guide and companion to dreamers for the length of his existence. Though he is often confusing, irritating, and contrary, he is genuinely benevolent in nature. He has lived long enough to have distant memories of the vanished Lords of Dream, and he eagerly welcomes his masters' return. Bonnie Dearie A resident of Dream, one of the three true-named creatures of Dream in the Mires. Bonnie Dearie is a nightmare thing, a hag-witch who has lived in her deep swamp for ages beyond counting. She is an archetype, rooted deeply and firmly into her place and her role; children and adults have had nightmares of her since history began. Nobody knows where she came from or why. Bonnie Dearie eats children, tortures souls, poisons mind and curses lives. She is a vicious figure, hunched and tattered, a distilled concentrate of all the fears of age and insanity. She is cunning and clever, and will not hesitate to use any means at her disposal to take what she wants and do as she pleases. The creatures of the Mire avoid her whenever possible, fearing for their independence and existence. There is nothing near Bonnie Dearie that she has not twisted to her own vile purposes. The City Many of the City's inhabitants believe It to be a god in Its own right, and in some ways they're right. The combined networks and AIs of the numberless buildings and systems and machines of the City have melded and joined over time, and the City has developed Its own mind and awareness. It is fragmented and schizophrenic and multi-personalitied, but all parts of It are connected, and It can accomplish a great many things. Parts of It are benevolent. Other parts are hostile. Contact with the City must be handled very carefully. Mavros dal-Avin The oldest son of the core family of House Avin. At the age of 16, Mavros gave up his inheritance to become a temple scribe; though the anima did not choose him for a priest, his devotion still drove him to join the temple rather than following in his father's footsteps. He was nearly disowned for this rebellion, though after twenty years, his father's sense of outrage has cooled to a bare simmer. He still resides in Skyhook 5X-0.772, tending to the needs of the priests of the House temple.
Mavros is a fanatic, if a fairly harmless one. Since his earliest childhood memories, he yearned after the forbidden mysteries of the anima and hoped desperately to be a Nameless Priest. When he underwent the naming vigil at 12 and received his name, he came very close to committing suicide. Instead, though, he lost himself in study and devotion, and joined the temple as soon as his age of majority came.
He is a quiet man, but has an unnervingly intent focus and a deep drive to succeed at what he chooses to take on. Had he taken to the business of House Avin as his father expected him to, there is little doubt that he would have expanded their merchant empire, as well as the family's already considerable wealth and status. Curator Rife Curator Rife is one of the few individuals that the Ageless Emperor trusts completely. This is in part because Curator Rife's brain is implanted with spelled circuitry and her mind inextricably intertwined with the tiny fragment of the City that concerns itself solely with the Collection. She maintains the environment of the private museum from within, responding to any change or adjustment as he would if it were to her own body. In a way, it is. In the unthinkable case that Curator Rife were to consider betraying her charge, the City-mind could and would stop her heart with an electrical impulse.
Curator Rife is far from sane. Like the Emperor, her life is artificially extended. She lives in a series of small chambers in the top level of the Collection, monitoring it constantly through monitors and the sensors whose output is linked directly into her brain. The Collection is her life and her purpose. It is all she thinks about, and on the very rare occasion that she has reason to speak, it is all she speaks about. In a deeply hidden portion of his mind, she considers the Emperor's Collection to be hers and hers alone. After all, she is the one who holds and keeps it. She will defend it with her life. The Ageless Emperor The seemingly immortal ruler of Pandora. Once a Nameless Priest, this pale, bony man ascended through unknown means to take the throne of one of the lost countries of Pandora, and then proceeded to subvert and subsume the rest of the world. He rules in the name of the anima, carefully manipulating the events and actions of the Cylan government to control as much of what goes on on his planet as he possibly can. His people revere and fear him, and his rule has only been challenged twice.
The Emperor is manipulative, avaricious, and cannot stand anything that is not under control. In truth, he was never a Nameless. His initiation into the priesthood was completed under false pretenses for the purpose of furthering his already-ambitious plans. He uses the ritual magics of the priesthood and the superstitious charms of the common people with no true belief in them and with great contempt. In spite of the controlling and self-centered personality beneath his facade, he is excellent at presenting himself as a benevolent if stern dictator. The image he maintains is that of a kind but unyielding father.

Echo(( Last updated 07/27/12 ))Locations - Echo and Nergal's rooms at the pantheon Echo and Nergal now have their own rooms, behind the door of supplicants, arms raised in song as they move along winding paths to find the lands of the dead. To say the the inside is much bigger than the space in between the doors in the corridor would lead one to think... is an understatement. The whole layout is based on the typical layout of houses of ancient Rome. The "Garden" is a Zen style rock garden. The skylight above is open to the sky and weather, not covered by glass or anything. When it rains it rains. When it pours it pours. If the garden turns into a swamp due to bad weather, the kids are happy. The large double door from the Commons to the Atrium/Garden are mostly for effect. Even if they are closed, you easily can get to the gardens and the back of the apartments via the hallway. Usually they are open, closed only to darken the common rooms whenever Nergal is holding court, or to shut out the weather when it gets just too bad even for deities to bear. In the common room the mood is set by silken curtains hanging from the ceiling. They are billowing in the slightest breeze, and their color may change according to which deity is holding court. Vibrant colors for Echo, muted grays and blues for Nergal. There also are myriads of lanterns and candles hanging from the ceiling and set in the alcoves. They may be lit by candles or magic. If Nergal is around, the light is provided by the will o' the wisps that accompany him. There are a number of sitting accommodations and tables in the commons room, allowing for feasting, discussion and lounging. The largest seat, looking not unlike a throne, is in front of the double door leading to the atrium and reserved for Nergal's/Echo's use. Which doesn't keep their children from taking a nap on it occasionally. There are no doors from the Commons and the Atrium/Garden towards the hallway, these are open doorways which may only be "closed" by curtains. Almost every wall is covered with murals. Nergal and Echo each have their own "private" room for whenever they feel the need for recluse. Nergal has his library/study, Echo has her music room. Yes, their bedroom is HUGE. Its ceiling is painted with the image of a starry sky. Yes, the bathroom is HUGE as well. It contains a small indoor pool rather than a bath tub. Evergreen Park The park is just that, a park. It used to be full of green and trees, as it's name would refer to, but with the Age of Destruction, it is in a bad shape. It is quite wide and has a small pond surrounded by rocks, and, at the center and bordered by trees, there is a small, raised stand on which there used to be outdoor music shows and plays during the summer. There are also seats all around, circling the scene. The scene and those seats where restored to the best of the aoidei's capability as Echo has started performing there in order to start making herself known to mortals. Eventually she hopes for it to be restored completely. The events of Gehenna have yet worsened things for the park - the scene no longer stands, and what little trees had managed to somehow live are dry and dead. Echo also now feels uncomfortable there as this was where Nergal had been god-napped - so if she will continue her efforts to restore it or if she will find another to avoid the bad memories has yet to be determined. Characters - Tempo (Aoide) Tempo is the oldest of the three brothers. (Tempo, Alto, and Concerto all consider each other brothers. Of Echo's servants, they where the 3 closest ones, and a family bond developed in between them) He is the voice for both himself and his Alto. While polite with most, he will not hesitate to defend anything he holds dear should he feel threatened. Outside of his inner sphere of his brother and his goddess, he is relatively quiet and seems almost withdrawn from the pantheon in general. When he does speak, he says things like he sees them with no reservation - that is, until his goddess protest and he is forced to stop. Tempo is also definitively the most serious of the three aoidei, but also the most hard-headed and stubborn. He was also Echo's personal bodyguard and is slowly working on recovering his mastery of weapons after his long sleep. After some training, Tempo is mostly going to stick to daggers and small blades. He's not very strong, but he is quick and agile. He does not get to fight often, so while he does train alot, there is a definitive lack of experience that would show up in true combat. He is also known to play the harp, but this has yet to show up in rp. Alto (Aoide) Alto is considered the middle brother by the three. He is actually mute, and has two main ways to communicate - sign language, and his flute. Echo and Alto are very close, and they are almost always seen together. If any other deity ever had a clear memory of before the fading, it would actually be fitting for them to think that Alto would have been Echo's consort, even if it wasn't the case. He did use to love her, rather deeply - but now that things with Nergal seems to have cemented and that there are children about, he has slowly started to let it go. Alto's presence is comforting and soothing for her, as he is a very calm and collected individual. He is quite literally her rock, and her confident. Alto is a great listener, and will keep secrets to the grave (not being able to talk does help...) His best instrument is of course the flute he always carries with him. Concerto (Aoide) Concerto is considered the youngest of the three, and is the one with the sense of organization. He led the other servants back before the fading, and handled delivering messages and greeting the other gods should they visit. Concerto is a bit of a two sided coin - while doing his duty, he is calm, collected, and does what he's in charge of very well. When not in duty, however... he becomes quite silly, a fact that had gotten him in trouble with others a few times. Since his re-awakening in current times, he does seem a bit more easy going and silly than he used to be - but it probably stems from having no temple or no errands to run. Concerto's instrument of choice is his guitar, but he seems to be the more versatile of the aoidei as far as music skills go, as he is also quite skilly with a harp, a flute, and given the opportunity to learn, electric guitar. He is the one that is the most curious about "modern" instruments, beside Echo herself. Concerto has been "loaned" to Desiderio when he was pregnant with his twins, in order to aid him in any way he was needed. The dark blue aoidei has been happily watching over his daughter, Adrienne, ever since. He could probably have returned to Echo's full service quite a long time ago, but since he seems to appreciate serving both god and goddess, Echo lets him do as he wishes. Aria Aria is an errais, a worldwalker, and is Echo's current and chosen mount. She is gentle herself, but is headstrong in her will to keep Echo out of trouble and will defy orders if needed. Aria was found by Ishum, Nergal's beastmaster, and was given to her as a gift on his behalf. While they used to live in a makeshift stable built for them, they fled the structure after it partly collapsed under the initial Gehenna wave, and now lives on a plain out of town with Falada. The influence of Lust resulted into three foals being born, though only two survived to adulthood. Illien, and the fishermen Illien is about 30 years old, with brown hairs and green eyes. He hails from a coastal village quite a bit away from the town holding the pantheon, but had fled it with some of his friends and family as the waves of Gehenna hit, one by one. He has assumed leadership, so to speak, of his small crew. He holds the conch shells that were used in the ritual, and is now focusing on building some places for his group and his daughter to live in before leaving back to his village to see if there are any survivor, and to spread the word of the gods. Allysia Allysia is a bit of an oddity - with an human mother and an elven father, it was not the large expends of forests that called to her, but the once tall and proud buildings that stood inside a port town called Koiso, in which she remained long even after her younger-lived mother passed on, her father having been nowhere to be found most of her life. Light brown haired and owning both vivid blue-turquoise eyes, the 60 years old halfing is still rather young by elven standards, but is a skilled, if rather quirky, architect, her talents often coming in handy as of late, first in building the many bridges of Koiso, and now in rebuilding very nearly the entire world around her.

Last update: Feb 19th, 2010 - Stuff copied over 'as is' from Nerg's journal. I wonder how much more until I hit the character limit? o.0F A M I L Y _ T I E S :
Echo: The Goddess of Music, his wife-to-be and mother to his children. Unbeknownst to him, she harbored a fondness for him even long ago, in the ages before The Fading. Nergal himself has always been fond of Music, the goddess as well the art she represents. Yet never allowed himself to view her that way, knowing there'd been a Queen at is side in ages past. Even without memory of her or his feelings for her, he would remain stubbornly faithful. However, once he came to know his Queen had been but an aoide, and long since dead and gone now …
Echo is outgoing when Nergal would be reserved, emotional when he would remain stolid and unmoving – cold, as some would say. Thus, they balance out each other almost perfectly. What they share are their uncertainties, in this new life and their past one, leading them to be impulsive or hesitant at the wrong time. Yet they keep learning from each other, to balance out their weaknesses.
Ankou: The Spirit Guide, and – as far as known – the only one to be related to Nergal in blood, his younger brother. Even though their blood relation has been nilled due to their respective rebirths, they remain close, and their mana mingles easily. Each of them has lent strength to the other, in this new age. They seem very alike in some regards (though one has to wonder how much of it has to be attributed to Nergal's strict demands in the past), and completely different in others. Such are brothers. Ankou is one of the very few selected ones Nergal would confide in openly, dropping most of his behavioural defenses.
Sotiris: Underworld's firstborn in this age, the Guardian deity, and a constant test to Underworld's patience. They are quite alike (though both of them would fervently deny it) – and thus clash constantly, both of them believing to be in their right. Though he would never say so, Nergal is actually immensely proud of his first born's strength, and perhaps a little envious of his freedom he enjoys as a child. Sotiris is given quite some leeway by his father – even though it might not seem like that at first glance – but Nergal makes sure he's trailed by aoidei, ghosts, or another sort of caretaker at all times to keep him out of any real trouble.
Lacrymosa: His only daughter, Grief. Seemingly frail, and born without sight (without eyes, in fact), he's naturally very protective of her. Yet, though they should be close in nature, the child seems to be the complete antithesis of him. Social, emotional, craving for physical contact. He's a little upset at time, that she seems to prefer her mother's presence over his. He's cold, she claims, and she doesn't like him meddling with her hair.
Akakios: His youngest son, and being Lament, he appears to be the true union between Underworld and Music. Withdrawn and quit, he seems closest to his father, and of the children he seems the only one able to perceive the dead – he can hear them at least, albeit not see them.
T H O S E _ W H O _ S E R V E :
Ishum: Beast master, stable master to Underworld. Always happy to share what's new on the rumor mill, his loquaciousness has become his downfall at least once in his past. Not one keen on having his realm's secrets revealed, Nergal once had his lips sewn shut to make a point – tiny scars still bear proof of it. Still, it doesn't seem like Ishum has learned his lesson … Jittery at first, thanks to his master's strict rule in the past, he's become more brave and outgoing as it became obvious Nergal's become a little more forgiving to the small mistakes one might make. His lean, almost fragile appearance make this aoide seem unfit for battle, but he's used to wrestling down the Cerberus, hydras, and countless other beasts. Agile and lightning-quick, he's quite deadly in hand-to-hand combat.
Priya: A new aoide, as it seems, as Nergal doesn't remember the least bit about her, and herself not the least bit about having any kind of a past. She's Nergal's self appointed guardian and bodyguard, having failed him repeatedly in that regard, though. However, she's proved to be a valuable tracker and huntress. Currently she ends up having to watch Nergal's children most of the time, with Soto being her nemesis due to his constant escapes. She has a slight crush on Endiovar, the God of Silence.
Endenis: Servant to Funeral once, Endenis remains one of the few precious links to the past. She and her sisters were among those sent out to find Aristogeiton's soul. Of the Weavers of tapestries and shrouds for the dead, only she remains, called back into being by Underworld's growing strength. She handed the scepter of Arrostos – and thus the responsibility to find the Consort's soul – back to Nergal, and remains faithful to him.
Anekbah: Nergal faintly remembers the demoness, just barely enough to know she's been around his court in the past, but her heritage makes it hard for him to actually trust her. She served in the Halls of Embalming, 'prettying up the dead' as she puts it. She does not feed of souls, but rather of the mortals' emotions and sins – 'vanity' has been Nergal's guess, and Anekbah was smart enough to neither confirm nor deny. She has chosen to room with Falcata, the human Death Knight from Mot, and the two women generally seem to get along well.
A L L I E S _ A N D _ A D V E R S A R I E S :
Poltros: Better known, perhaps, as Charon. He used to dwell at Underworld's borders, ferrying the souls across the Grand River – if they had been buried properly. Though he certainly wasn't disinclined towards the occasional bribe. He remains a faithful servant to Underworld, for reasons Nergal cannot fathom. Or, rather – he cannot remember.
Poltros used to be a MageKing, a powerful Necromancer and faithful servant to War once, bringing down a great many of Kingdoms with his undead hordes. He joined the ranks of the Undying by removing his heart, and hiding it in a supposedly save place. However, he crossed Underworld one time to many, causing the Judge of the Dead to claim that man for his own, much to War's chagrin. He hid Poltros'/Charon's heart in an unknown place, and as long as the warlock doesn't know where it is, he remains at Nergal's mercy.
His own body has long since withered to dust, so he claims host body after host body – but they rot so quickly …
Poltros was lover to Trickery once, and she even tried to steal his heart from Underworld's treasury for him.
Kishara: The embodiement of Life, complementing/balancing Underworld's weaknesses in so many ways, and vice versa.
…
If only it was like that.
In fact their relationship turned sour early, by Kishara being overly fond of Nergal's host, and Nergal taking her over at the most impropriate time, without a warning, without a chance for goodbyes. Their encounters since then, so far, have left him being somewhat paranoid of all plant life, expecting it to act hostile towards him.
He had given up on it, but now that he rests against her roots for stability, he's starting to contemplate again – it has to be possible to mend their relationship somehow?
Sesostris: Demon Lord, one of the few to actually deserve that title. He is old, old enough to have seen at least some gods be born long before the Fading, and certainly old enough to see the lot of them wither and die. He is cynical, resourceful, and will serve no one but his own agenda. He is Patriarch to a clan of shadow demons, though their ancestor may have come from Darkness itself. Powerful enough to have no fear of gods that have not yet been fully reborn (up to and including youth stage), he takes delight in teasing them, playing with them, and using them for his own purposes.
Once of high rank in Hell, he used to serve as an ambassador, and mediator, and has offered these services to Underworld again.
He is also called „Sesostris of the Broken Wings“. He once crossed the gods, and what remains from that folly are his wings being in a constant state of decay, while his body strives to regenerate them – this curse eats quite a lot of his strength and seals some of the powers he would otherwise have. The Sight came as a part of the curse, allowing Sesostris to foresee future events to some degree. However, the weeks of the Apocalypse seem to have liberated him of that. His wings, however, keep decaying.
Luthenep: Demon Prince, one of Sesostris' remaining grandchildren. His favorite, and his named heir, and thus being given a lot of leeway. Too much, perhaps. He used to be in love infatuated with Underworld's host, Aislin. He saved her life once by binding her soul and body to himself through a blood pact, causing her to be unable to die, even if she wanted to. Nevermind he brought about the situation which caused her near-death in the first place, albeit it certainly was in the best intentions. The road to Hell is paved with them …
Until the very last he's tried to 'save' Aislin, and getting rid of that deity who'd taken her over.
Now that all of it has failed, the demon child has withdrawn, licking his wounds, his loathing of Underworld growing ever stronger.
Both, Sesostris and Luthenep, are of a rare breed of demons to possess souls of their own.
Xingyuan: A mortal from the city of Koiso, one of the handful to survive the initial flood and the calamities which followed. Down to the earth and practical, she comes from a family of fishermen. In a classic Cinderella story, a succesful businessman fell in love with her, asking her to marry him. However, even long before the flood, their marriage was on paper only, leaving Xing and her husband enstranged to each other. Happily Ever After was naught but a fairy tale after all …
Their only daughter died in the flood.
Xing's husband saved himself when the city was evacuated, but Xing stubbornly remained behind. She hasn't heard from him since. Her considerable organizational skills quickly made her the leader among the remainder of her people, and recently got her promoted to High Priestess Temple Manager.
Miles: He came from Koiso with Xing and her small group, but is no native to the harbor town. A miner and construction worker, he came to Koiso for a chance to board one of the massive freighters shipping mining supplies and workforce to the mines down south.
Rajivini: She too came from Koiso. Her husband owned a store for plants and gardening supplies at the outskirts of town, whereas she would run a small flower shop as a part of it, selling bouquets, wreaths and flower arrangements.
Hoht'hose: A native of the desert country of Mot, a distinguished necromancer as well as an architect and engineer of considerable skill. He also is very short, and no one ever seems capable of remembering his name or to pronounce it properly.
Falcata: A Death Knight from the desert country of Mot. She is quite young and a little inexperienced still. To accompany one of her Elders as his guard on his quest to find out more about the possible rebirth of the God of the Dead was the first real mission given to her.
Allysia: Half-elf, enfant terible and architecture wunderkind, many of Koiso's buildings and bridges were designed on her drafting board. She serves Echo now, and has had her hand in a great many of project seeking to rebuild what has been destroyed, as well as restoring and securing the underground tunnels of the catacombs. Her most current project is the Necromanteion – Nergal's new temple.
Shima: A shapeshifter who played a crucial role in Nergal having been captured by the Demon Lord Bael. Her imitation of Echo was pulled off with enough skill to fool Nergal for just long enough, and afterwards her skills were used again to further torment him, tricking him into thinking Echo had been captured as well.
She quickly recognized her folly however, having been tricked by Bael herself and cruelly tortured as well to make her cooperate further. She's lost her voice in the process, and part of her shifting abilities are now lost to her. She's aided Nergal to the best of her abilities during his captivity, risking her own life and wellbeing in the process, and in the end was the one to free him of the collar that bound his powers.
She showed up at the Pantheon a few months after Nergal's return, and repeated her oath of fealty towards Nergal, determined to make up for the wrong she did to him. Nergal accepted it, trusting Shima enough to allow her to become his firstborn's constant companion and guardian. Or, rather, his 'puppy', as Sotiris puts it.
Jessica: A mortal woman, and mother of two children who was taken in by Lien/Cosine after the crashlanding of her plane. She came to Nergal to seek advice when her other two children, who died years ago, started haunting her little family. The Lord of the Dead is very fond of her, her word is sound, and she's told him about the Day of the Dead. Her oldest daughter, Grace, can see dead and has been gifted a feather from Nergal's wings, to protect her from the more vicious poltergeists.
Julstecca III: Queen of Brilsworth, a monarchy on one of the planets on the plane referred to as Wellhaven by world-walkers and plane-striders. About year ago, small group of peculiar strangers appeared in her queendom, claiming to be gods. A deal was struck, when the claim was proven to be true, as Brilsworth was in dire need of godly intervention at the time. The Kingdom of Irisun threatened to conquer her realm, their Speakers (note: highly skilled and powerful telepaths of sorts) already having killed her lover (and Brilsworth's only Speaker) and their two children. In turn for the gods' help in defending her Queendom against the overwhelming forces of Irisun, they would be granted free passage and given any assistance needed in looking for those relics they were searching so desperately: Two of the soul-fragments of Aristogeiton.
Julstecca is calculating, well versed in political intrigue and used to keep her thoughts guarded at all times. She is well loved by her subjects, and vice versa, wants but the best for them. As a result, she has little qualm about using the gods' intervention to her full advantage. News of the truly miraculous rescue of her Queendom spread quickly throughout the worlds of the Alliance, and now her council is in negotiation with several ambassadors to forge new alliances, and – as the Queen lost both lover and children to Irisun's ploys – a worthy husband as well. Despite the gods' blessing, the Queen would rather rely on a Speaker's power to protect her realm, and she would prefer to have her own children inherit the throne rather than the distant relatives that remain.
During the week of Plague, she fell gravely ill. She remains weakened, but is on the way to recovery.
D E A D _ A N D _ G O N E ( ? ) :
Aislin: Nergal's host. She took on the gem to herself willingly, having lived centuries past the time alotted to her, due to a bloodpact with a demon. She only wanted to survive back then, when she agreed to the pact, but she was unaware it would not allow her to die at all. In the short time left to her, however, she found new joy in life, and managed to touch upon Gaia's heart. When Nergal took over, she was put to sleep, just as she had wished for, fearing she would be unable to bear the fact of her body not being her own anymore. However, she rose for one last hurrah when Nergal was abducted by the Demon Lord Bael, and unable to keep her contained. Experienced in dealing with demonkind, she took much of the pain for him, and they alternated in bearing the torture put upon their joined body. In the end she was devoured completely, when Nergal grew in power and purged the last of his mortality. He himself remains unaware of how, when, and what happened exactly.
Kore: In ancient times, she was the woman at Nergal's side, his chosen Queen. He remembers little of her, not even her face, so it came as a surprise to him that she was no goddess herself, but of the ranks of the aoidei. According to Ishum, she's been graceful, elegant, witty and wise, and Nergal seems to have treated her as his equal. Echo used to refer to her as her dear sister. According to Destruction she is Gone now, and even if her soul were to be found, it is likely she would not remember.
Bael: A self proclaimed Demon Lord, he was powerful and resourceful enough to hold Underworld captive for months, treating the still vulnerable godling as his pet and toy. However, it is folly to imprison a God, especially one who's powers are still growing, if ever so slowly, and cannot be permanently supressed. In the end, Nergal managed to break free, aided by the effects of the near-apocalypse and those among his captors who realized their wrongs; and by his own growth in power.
Nergal killed Bael himself, driven half-insane at the time, and bound his soul to the shards of the collar that was used to bind his powers.
Nergal still refuses to speak of his ordeal during that time, and probably never will. It certainly hasn't helped his loathing of demons.
Annie: This little changeling was a pet/possession of Bael herself, and about the only one who genuinely cared about Nergal during his captivity. She's paid dearly for it, and been buried alive for having chosen a master other than Bael. She's the only mortal Nergal has ever allowed himself to become attached to, and the only one whose death he ever grieved. She is very dear to him, viewed as a daughter, and he continues to keep her close, even after her death.
Randolph: A mortal who befriended Nergal when he was stranded in Aislin's homeworld. Having lost wife and son in a car accident years ago, it seemed the gentle and humorous graveyard gardener would be an ideal follower. Nergal couldn't have been more wrong about that. In the end, Randolph died at Underworld's own hands, and his severe crimes and betrayal remain yet to be judged. T H E _ U N D E R W O R L D :
Sheol, Hades, the Realm of the Dead ... made anew from Underworld's own flesh and bones.
He is the realm now.
Though, at last, he is no longer stuck in this form. He is able to manifest in human form (or any other, though he hasn't quite figured that out yet) within his realm at will now. To do so beyond his own borders takes considerably more effort, and is a constant, massive drain on his powers, so he never stays in the living realms for long. The experience of being in two places at once – being a place, and walking about in another – still tends to be somewhat confusing for him, though much less so than it seems for others.
The Underworld is comparatively small in size still – only the dead present on the world he'd come from would heed Nergal's initial call, and now he finds that his ability to reach beyond the borders of his new form is extremely limited. Nonetheless, more dead keep trickling in, finding the way on their own or sent by his brother. To them, the Underworld's mere existence is like the pull of gravity. Most of the time it is only a small but steady influx, but occasionally it will become somewhat of a flash flood whenever Nergal manages to align himself to a world.
Whenever a certain limit of souls is hit, the Underworld grows in a sudden, painful spurt to make room for even more – it is something Nergal has little control of, so for the most part he simply bears it the best he can. Unfortunately this also causes his borders to shift quite often, and connections to the living world tend to be unreliable and unstable as a result.
Some stability has been gained, however, by Nergal … having rolled (flipped! like a pancake!! n_n/ *silly*) over and now resting with his 'back' against Yggdrasil's roots.¹
In other words, the Underworld is upside down.
Other than that, the new realm still remains largely unshaped – there are plains of withered grass, twisted trees which bear neither leaf nor fruit, small rivers, the chilly waters of which Nergal has borrowed from the living world's subterranean streams. He is mostly messing around still, trying to get the hang of making – and it seems to be impossible for him to produce anything which does not look like it died a long time ago. As a result, there is little landscape to speak of as of yet, and the majority of the realm remains unmade, featureless and hidden underneath the thick fog that seems to be present everywhere.
However, there is a mountain range arching up in the far distance, marking the borders. The bone-white formation of rocks strongly resembles the ribcage of an impossibly huge fallen beast. Actually it is the ribcage of a certain death god.
The stone which contained his essence, and enabled his rebirth, is still there – buried in the ground quite close to the site of Echo's crash landing. Good luck finding it.
The River of Souls – the souls of the dead made visible, and their faint glow enhanced by crystals and prisms set into the Underworld's ceiling, as they flow into the realm. It is a spectacular sight to behold, even now. It strongly resembles an aurora borealis.
Nergal has tentatively picked up holding court again, but for the most part focuses on the growth of his realm and containing the dead, hopefully taking some strain off Creation and Gaia as a result. The souls of the children, however, considered pure and innocent by him, are sent on immediately, to the best of his abilities, so that they may be reborn as soon as possible. He just hopes he's doing it right.
Up to now, the only means to reach the realm is by either dying (duh) or following Yggdrasil's roots to the Greatest Depths. There may be the occasional place where the Underworld and the Lands of the Living overlap, but these would flicker on and off. Someone might stumble upon them by accident. Underworld's borders used to be heavily guarded, but currently that's obviously not the case. However, there's at least one guardian beast still on the lose in the depths of Yggdrasil's roots, though after its encounter with Echo it's likely to be completely deaf now. And it probably was old and senile to begin with, for it didn't recognize her for who/what she was … <<;;;
¹ He sincerely hopes Gaia wont be pissed at him yet again for giving her cold feet ...
T H E _ T E M P L E :
A location has been decided upon, the site of a ruined cathedral in quite some distance to the town's center and the Pantheon. The festivities of the Day of the Dead were held here the past two years, and underneath lies a vast network of tunnels – the Catacombs. Part ancient crypt and ossuary, part abandoned mines, part service and subway tunnels, part natural caves.
By now the last remains of the cathedral walls have been torn down, and a new building will be erected upon its foundations. The true temple, however, will be deep underground, within a large natural cavern.
A _ T E M P O R A R Y _ A B O D E :

Within the Pantheon, one may now find Nergal's dwelling behind a door of supplicants, arms raised in song as they move along winding paths to find the lands of the dead. However, the Judge of the Dead will no doubt be rarely present himself, now that he has resumed his responsibilities.
However, as these rooms are shared with Music, their children Guardian, Lament and Grief, and their faithful aoidei … there should at least be someone present to leave a message with at all times.
The whole floorplan is based on the typical layout of houses in ancient Rome. The "Garden" is a Zen style rock garden (though it's slowly being converted to a more traditional garden, it seems). The skylight above is open to the sky and weather, not covered by glass or anything. When it rains it rains. When it pours it pours. When the garden turns into a swamp due to bad weather, the kids are happy and full of glee.
The large double door leading from the commons to the atrium/garden are mostly for effect. Even if closed, you easily can get to the gardens and the back of the apartments via the hallway. Usually they remain wide open, closed only to darken the common rooms whenever Nergal is holding court (at the same time representing a symbol of his realm); or to shut out the weather when it gets just too uncomfortable for even deities to bear.
The largest seat, looking not quite unlike a throne, is in front of the double door leading to the atrium and reserved for Nergal's/Echo's use.
Koiso: This once grand and vibrant city has now been abandoned by even the most stubborn survivors, and remains true ghost town. Xingyuan and her little group were determined to hold out until the very last, but when the Avalon's nuclear reactor showed first signs of leakage during the Week of Decay, they were left with no choice but to leave. Now the waters that claimed the town are slowly receeding, leaving behind naught but ruins, and inumerable rotting corpses. It is unlikely that the city will ever be reclaimed by humans, considering the level contamination, and the hazard brought about by too many buildings close to collapse.
Brilsworth/Wellhaven: Brilsworth is not on the same plane as the shop setting. Planestriders call the Plane itself Wellhaven. Wellhaven is not technologically advanced, nor magically inclined. The societies of the planets in the Alliance of Worlds should be considered Tudor. They do, however, have contact between the planets of their universe, through people called Speakers. Speakers are trained from children showing natural aptitude to the abilities, something like telepathy.
The abilities themselves are common in the peoples of Wellhaven, but usually not more then empathy or surface reading of unguarded minds. The Speakers, however, are trained to reach long across the lightyears to touch other Speakers. They are loved and feared.
Growing with such a caste of people, the societies of the Wellhaven plane prize mental astuteness. Socializing, politicing, intrigue and deceit are very, very prevalent. People are guarded from each other, trying to think fast and avoid having their minds and motives read by others. It is a sign of close friendship to spend time with a friend sleeping....that is when the mind is most unguarded.
Mot: A land-locked desert country, bordered by a high mountain range to one side. Of renown even worlds beyond, for their skill in preserving the bodies of the dead, and their powerful necromancy. Their necropolises are famous, cities of the dead far greater than those of the living. A great many of rulers and nobles strive to be buried there – and do pay considerably well for the honor – as the burial sites of Mot are never violated, and never robbed.
There are three main groups among the populace: The Bendii, small people who live deep in the mountains, mining ores and minerals. Their weapons, jewelry and gems are among the finest, and highly treasured by nobility and merchants. The Linth, nomadic tribes that dwell in the desert, often serving as guides and escorts for the merchant caravans. And the Mot, descendants of Bendii who migrated into the desert to tend to the cities of the dead. They are the ones who constructed the massive 'fortresses', huge black pyramids which reach as far underground as they do above, large enough to house a small city, and covered over and over with the trademark ornamental reliefs of the Bendii. Visitors always marvel at how the massive fortresses have been built. The answer, the same as how a small country like this would be able to defend itself against its much larger and more powerful neighbors, lies hidden underneath the sand …
The Silent Forest: An old forest a hundred miles from the Pantheon. Within, there exist the remains of an ancient procession road, and a Mausoleum in which one of the soul fragments of Aristogeiton was found. The mausoleum is old. It was well built in a grotesque mode of architecture involving a great many twisted and writhing relief scultpures of the sufferings and damnations of the underworld. There are no positive depictions. Much of the stonework is overgrown and blackened, chipped and worn by age.
The forest itself gains its name from being eerily silent. No birdsong can be heard within, no rodents' rustle in the undergrowth. It once was Silence's. Time may or may not tell if he'll reclaim it, and if he and Underworld will become the allies once more they've apparently been in the past.
The Catacombs: A vast network of underground rooms, halls and tunnels, which can be accessed through the crypts of the former St. Kore cathedral, to the far east of the town's center. It is very old, and its origins remain unknown, though it is at least partially made up of natural caves, especially on the deeper levels. The section right underneath St. Kore's crypts serves as an ossuary and columbarium.
The Underground structure suffered a great deal in the Weeks that preceeded the possible Apocalypse, great portions of it having collapsed, and – in some occasions – even causing sinkholes to open on the surface, swallowing whole buildings.. The numerous ladders and rope bridges which crossed the underground chasms have all but decayed and fallen apart.
At its greatest depths, there is a Sanctuary which was once dedicated to the Underworld – a small, octagonal room, containing an altar at one end, and the mural of a massive Gate at the other. The mural is so skillfully executed, that – in the dim light – it easily fools the eyes, leading one to think they may in fact be real. They are, but so far, they've refused to open for anyone but Underworld Himself.
When Echo attempted to make it to the Gates, after she had heard nothing of her lover for too long once he'd left to restore his realm, it was the joint venture of her own and Nergal's followers that cleared and secured much of the catacombs – at the price of several lifes due to accidents.
The entrance through St. Kore's crypts is the one best known, but by far not the only access to the ancient tunnels.

-Eamnonn's Infos- NPCsOrin Species: Aiode Orin was Eamnonn's first servant, who began life as a New York City recluse who worked for park services. After being mauled by a werewolf he became one himself, finally killing a young woman and resolving to commit suicide over it. Instead, he was found by another werewolf, who offered to either kill him or send him through some sort of portal. He chose the second option, and ended up on the Hunt's doorstep as half man and half wolf, with the blood of his victim permanently staining his hands. An excellent gardener, he's found acceptance and friendship with Eamnonn, and has become one of the god's most trusted companions. Eben Species: Aiode Eben serves Eamnonn because that is his duty and he was assigned to it - he is very prim and proper, not one to question the way of things when it comes to the gods. Neither Ea nor Orin quite know what to do with him, and he finds them distressingly base and uncultured. Arriving in the company of two more hounds to add to the Hunt's pack, he expected to be their keeper. However, the god he serves prefers to do things for himself and already had a human follower to help him with his hounds, so Eben has become Ea's seamstress and tanner. It is a type of service Eben believes a lower servant should be assigned to, but he does it anyway like the faithful minion he is. Jerry Bukkin Species: Human Gender: male Age: 36 Jobs: Head Acolyte, teacher Jerry was Ea's first follower, along with his daughters, and has grown a lot since he met the god. A family man who loves to hunt, he is very comfortable with the Hunt and his straightforward ways. He seems to treat Ea as an equal, a mentor, and a student in equal measure, depending on who is doing the advising for who at a particular time. He is the accepted leader of the humans who tend the Hunt's temple, and a good mediator. Liza Bukkin Species: Human Gender: female Age: 18 Jobs: Weapon care Very take-charge and intelligent. Loraleen Bukkin Species: Human Gender: female Age: 16 Jobs: People wrangler Good with organization and studying to be a park ranger. Butch Bukkin Species: some sort of dog Gender: male Age: smelly Jobs: mascot Pure laziness. Greg Mercy Species: Human Gender: male Age: 18 Jobs: Altar boy, student Liza's sort-of boyfriend, very naive and impressionable. Mark Keller Species: Human Gender: male Age: 31 Jobs: Building maintenance The quiet, thoughtful twin. Candace 'Dace' Keller Species: Human Gender: female Age: 28 Jobs: Teaching, building maintenance The loud, jovial twin. Gabriel Adair Species: Human Gender: male Age: 74 Jobs: Meat provider Very old-fashioned and direct. Pretty much a hermit. Hari Nehru Species: Human Gender: female Age: 46 Jobs: student, accountant A business woman in the wilderness. Out of place, but she manages. Randy Camphor Species: Human Gender: male Age: 24 Jobs: animal wrangler Lillian's husband and a born skeptic. Lillian Woo Species: Human Gender: female Age: 27 Jobs: weapons master Randy's wife and believer in things working out in the end. PlacesTeh Forest Once a chunk of a much larger forest, Ea's territory is now the only living part as the Age of Destruction is upon us. A large stream with many cataracts runs along the eastern edge to Kaelin's lake. Ea's temple is in the center. It is north of the Edel compound, and south of modern human development. Closer to the compound it's deciduous (leafed trees, like NE US), and past Ea's temple to the north it's coniferous (needled trees, like NW US).

She enjoys taunting Ea's servants and largely avoids his followers. Mostly keeps to Caolan's side so as not to get in trouble and upset her lady. Prey Species: Human See random humans. Kill them. Sh'khin's InfoPlacesFinn's Bookstore: The Dusty Bookshelf This small bookstore is the place Finn works. His boss is an older man named Nigel, who treats him like a son. Finn and Iris hung out there regularly, and it was almost like a second home. Horace was very trusting of Finn, who was his only employee. The shop is home to around a thousand books, including various shelves of rare books stored in a heavily-locked back room. Finn & Iris' apartment Finn and Iris' apartment isn't anything special. In fact, it's quite run-down. It's located in a more run-down section of London, on Earth. It's a fairly large, loft-like space with a central living room, and a kitchen and 1/2 bath off to the right side as you enter the apartment. There is a staircase on the left side that leads up to the bedrooms on the second floor. There are a total of two bedrooms. Finn's is the first one as you come up the stairs. It's of medium-size, and Finn has managed to fit in a bed, a dresser, a desk, and a crib, now that Maya's arrived. It has a couple of windows on the north side, which let in some light. Iris' room is the largest bedroom in the house, and it has large windows that look out over the rooftops of the city. It provides excellent views at sunset. She has a king-sized bed that sits on the south wall, a dresser, a desk and easy chair. Sh'khin's Rooms in the Pantheon NPCs/Other CharactersFinn Pierce Keating Finn is Iris' best friend (and one-time lover). They've known each other since entering college, and once they graduated, they decided it'd be best to save money by living together. Finn has a crush on Iris, and though she knows this, she does not act on it. She's decided that though she loves Finn, it's nothing more than a friendly, brother/sister-type love. The pair has been through quite a lot, and Finn is one of the most important people in Iris' life. Maya Keating Maya is Finn's grumpy, angry daughter. She's a Forgotten Document, or a child born from a passage from a book. Finn went on a rather strange journey to find her, and they've been inseparable ever since, though that's not necessarily a good thing. She has a golden worm familiar named Mortality, who seems to be her voice of reason. He shares part of her soul, and if one of them dies, so will the other. Aeneas, the Aoide Aeneas made quite an entrance into the world, by attacking Maya as a bloody hand that had erupted from a plush toy, and basically holding her hostage. Once an innocent cat plushie, this Aoide is very subservient, and will do most anything Sh'khin asks her to. She loves to please her master, and keep him happy.

For Silence//ColinLOCATIONSColin's Apartment: 1121 Portola Street (cross streets: Portola & Brickwell) Anyplace, USA. Colin lives in a one-bedroom apartment located on the top (second) floor, left side of the staircase in his building. It's a small but neatly kept place with a tattered couch and loveseat that he purchased second-hand from a thrift-store down the street, a scarred formica table in the "dining area" and a very narrow but servicable kitchen. His bedroom is nearly as large as the rest of the place and contains his futon, a banged-up chest-of-drawers, a computer desk (with ancient [read: 4year old] computer) and a large closet that he uses mostly for storing his dance equiment. His walls are decorated with billing posters from the productions he's been a part of, framed nicely (gifts) and nothing more. Early spartan or late monk, perhaps? After Endiovar came into his life: Colin's apartment was upgraded slightly to contain things his new "roommate" (Illario) would need, including a desktop replacement laptop as well as a smaller one. Unfortunately, after Silence morphed, Illario moved out. The apartment has been leased in Colin's name for at least 6 months, but it seems unlikely that Endiovar will stay there. One Way Town Dance Studio: A rather spacious dance studio that resides in a brick building with oak doors; fairly near Colin's apartment. The outer building is weather-worn and in need of some repair (though not badly yet). Inside, once one gets past the modest reception area, the studio comes equipped with a with a more than adequate gym set up, a small pool, hot tub and sauna, a large room with mirrors for dance lessons and several small, private rooms for massage therapy, lockers etc. Pantheon: Nothing personal, as of yet Silent Forest: --Processing-- Sephulchre: --Processing, name etc may change -- X_x;; NPCs:As Endiovar:Hue (Aiode) Hue was one of Endiovar's trusted servants in his previous incarnation - something between a messenger-boy and a personal assistant. Currently he is bound and 'sleeping' - awaiting release from his bonds at the hands of his Master reborn. Not much is known about his current mental state, though it can be assumed that the Fading and his long imprisonment will have left its scars. Hue has not been ICly presented. ...//ImageMirra (Aiode) Calico Catgirl; image misplaced currently. Nothing is known about this strange plushie-turned-catgirl, save that she was not part of Silence's court previously and that she is quite...cracked. Odd. Mirra has not been ICly presented. ...//ImageDulcet (Tahnee) Undead fairy; Dulcet is a small fairy from the Silence Forest. She is quite small, being roughly the size of Colin's hand -- she does not truly speak so much as she makes little bell sounds. Like Mirra, Dulcet was not part of Endiovar's court previously though she is familiar with his previous incarnation. Dulcet has not been ICly presented. ...//ImageWhisp (Idle Thought) Idle Thought; Whisp was a gift from the Weaver of Shadows to Endiovar. He has not yet met the goddess, but he does wish to do so, if only to thank her for the brainless bit of fluff. Definitely not part of Endiovar's former "court". ...//ImagePiallo (Cabbage Patch Frost SS) Frost Elemental; Piallo is yet another gift from Mel to Endiovar. Though he still has yet to meet the Weaver of Shadows, he finds her intriguing. ...//Image As Colin:Heather Joan Hargrove Colin's mother is um...yea, a work in progress. She got pregnant with him when she was too young and wholly incapable of taking care of herself - much less a baby. (They don't really know who the father is either.) She's really a good-hearted woman that found herself in circumstances that she couldn't possibly handle and did the best she could. Heather behaves more benignly towards her son (and her daughter) now that she and they are older though the relationship there is far less parental than friendly. Formerly she managed her son's career as a dancer/actor though that changed when he came of age; currently she is uncertain what is going on with her son as he hasn't called nor contacted her for over a month. Miriam Heather Hargrove Colin's younger sister; a very quiet and myopic child she didn't do well with having almost no parental guidance during her formative years. Instead of growing up to be a wild and dangerous sort, she turned her focus to religion almost exclusively. The last time she spoke to her brother she cried and told him she would never see him again because he was "tainted" by "the Devil" because he was gay. Despite his sexual preference and her decision to not communicate with Colin, she does love her big brother and is worried for her wayward, devil-tainted brother. Coach Name Forthcoming (too lazy to dig up); A pivotal person in Colin's life. Far more of a "mother" figure, point of authority, etc to the blond dancer than his own mother ever really was able to be. Of all the "adults" in his life, she will probably be the only one that he says "good-bye" to - in note or in person. Dustin Alexander Jameson Colin's friend from the One Way Studio; currently dating the "ex-girlfriend" (it didn't work out for Colin, but he was there and happy to "make it all better" - with Colin's blessing). Dustin is a good deal less devoted and focused than Colin is with regards to dancing, but he has a lot of natural talent and a really sharp "look" and style to his dancing that definitely make him a contender for "star dancer" at the studio with Colin gone. Adrian Gray Actor. Star. b*****d. Former lover. Full description pending. Nunzio Aberto A greasy Italian trash-rag hound. He's an unscrupulous reporter that discovered that Adrian Gray was ******** some "street-trash boy" when the man was supposedly the hottest and most available straight guy in the business. Nuzio would have completely ruined Adrian's career save that the actor and the dancer paid the extortionist off...or so they thought. Four months down the road, Zio began approaching Colin again, pressuring him for sexual favors in lieu of his spilling all the information to the press (again). Colin was his plaything for nearly a year, being subjected to some of the most unspeakable degradations known to man at Zio's whimsy. This man is directly responsible for Colin accepting Endiovar's gem; per the "contract" between host and deity - he will pay for his transgress now that the God of Silence walks terra firma again. Jenna Breckenridge & Marta Torrez Two middle-aged dancers that work at the One Way Town dance studio in the reception/front-office area. They also teach several of the beginner classes together and have known Colin since he started in at the studio; they are quite fond of him and try to mother him a bit despite not being too much older than he is. Carl Breckenridge Married to Jenna; works as a Sports Medicine specialist for one of the major medical facilities in the area and also works with the studio to see that their dancers' injuries are taken care of properly.

For Laughter/LisanaEfte's Room at the PantheonEfte's Room
Lisana's door at the Pantheon is rather bright in vivid blues, violets, white, and silver. Bubbles of all sizes made of glass have been put together in a very odd yet uniquely her way.
The doorknocker consists of two halves of a whole. On the outside, Mr. Harry Whodunit decides who enters and who does not by asking for a riddle. No, he does not ask one, he asks for one. So have a riddle ready, or you will never get inside.
The other half of Harry is Sir Jerry Whatsisname. He is the opposite of Harry as he decides who leaves or not. He does not ask for riddles nor does he ask them. He asks for the answers to the riddle that has been given to Harry. If you do not know the answer to your own riddle, you may never leave.
Map of Lisana's room
Her room is basically one large area that has been separated by curtains and ivy covered wall sections. White marble with silver, blue, and violet striations scattered through, would be the pathways and main flooring and columns. The walls would definitely be white. Light and airy just the way bubbles drifted and were transparent. Plants would grow in the large and small flowerpots that would be scattered everywhere.
A large step up dais to the left of the entry was surrounded by a short wall on two sides. The surface between the three marble pillars was wide enough to use as a table to those sitting on the plush violet and blue seats or the large violet and blue floor pillows scattered about. Several plants were scattered on the ledge filled with not only greenery but daisies and violet wildflowers. It was a very interesting place for either formal or informal meetings.
The top step, crafted of a darker violet shade of marble, was large and wide enough that it could also serve as a place for entertainment by clowns, jesters, or even musicians with the waterfall fountain that poured down into a small pond just below. One small portion of the fountain spewed bubbles into the air rather than water cascading downwards with a mix of the darker and lighter shades of the same marble used as the fountain bases themselves.
To the top right, a large oak dining set was placed for dinner parties. It would seat sixteen at a time with enough space to enjoy themselves and easily accessed by the kitchen nearby. Linens in white, blue, and violet remained on the table at all times with glass bowls and plates of the same colors alternating throughout.
The bottom right was an informal visiting area for Lisana or the aoide or any guest she had staying with her. It was a plush area with couches and chairs upholstered in fine silks of blue and violet. A large coffee table was centered made of light oak with a blue and violet staining and carved with an intricate carving of parades of people. A large glass top covered the top allowing the design to be seen but not disturbed.
Four rooms to the right were sectioned off with long white curtains. The top one contained a bathroom for others to use complete with the same white marble sink, tub, and vanity trimmed in blues, violets, and a bit of silver.
The second room was a wide open kitchen complete with light oak cabinets, white marble countertop, and a smaller dining set for informality. A large pantry was at the back, though there was nothing but empty shelves within for the moment.
At the very back of the large area was a section of long white curtains containing what was Lisana's bedroom, private alcove, and bathroom. The bed itself was a large oak four poster with the same white curtains drapped around all four sides of the bed for privacy at night. The posts were carved with elegant swirls from the top to the floor. Covered in white silk blankets with a violet and blue throw at the foot, the bed was the first thing seen upon entering the room. Various patterned pillows in white, blue, and violet were scattered at the top for comfort, some tassled and some with lace. Two large violet and white rugs, one eliptical, the other circular, covered the floor around the bed, each one lush and exotically made.
Where a wall should be at the head of the bed, it is open with windchimes hanging in various places. Their tinkle is not unlike the laughter of waternymphs and fairies. If one looks out, the grassy area around the Pantheon is easily visible through the curtains. A faint playful breeze drifts through constantly causing the curtains to flutter and chimes to ring.
In the lower left corner of the room, a carved wooden table and chairs allowed for meals of a more intimate quality. Two carved bookshelves in the upper left corner were only partially filled with tomes and a small arrangement of statues. In the lower right corner a carved wooden desk and chair were placed upon a blue, white, and violet rug for convenience. The upper right contained a large carved closet, strange symbols instead of the parade of people scattered everywhere else.
From the right, a large white curtain sectioned off the bathroom with the same light oak cabinets, marble vanity and sink. The shower however was entirely open, cascading downwards as a natural waterfall would. The tiered floor of the shower slightly angled downwards to become a deeper tub for soaking. It was made of the darker blue and violet shades entirely causing it to stand out against the lightness of everything else.
To the left side of the bedroom was a second set of curtains that opened into an area that looked like a garden alcove complete with marble stone paths that led to an oversized white hammock strewn with various blue and violet patterned pillows. The center contained four comfortable violet and white striped chairs with the images of lush flowers woven into the silk fabrics. Small oak tables were strategically placed nearby.
The lower portion of the alcove contained a swing for two beneath a vine covered A-frame. A wall of lush plants and exotic blossoms created privacy almost as if it were a secret place.
Firefly Meadow Does not exist right now. Lisana plans to rebuild it.
Seaside Cove Does not exist right now. Lisana plans to rebuild it for the mikimoo.
NPCsJoe Renaude
Joe is Eftemie's uncle and owner of a construction company. It was he who renovates most of the warehouse to suit her. Her father's only brother, he raised Eftemie after her father died when she was just a child. His wife recently died due to a disease that spread outwards over the city. It's unknown what the plague was and he moved in with Eftemie immediately afterwards.
He's got blue eyes, black hair with gray temples. He's hardworking and has little time for nonsense during working hours. Recently he had to shut down his construction company due to the rioting and other things going on.
Yeti
Yeti is a one eyed one horned flying purple people eater. He's about the size of a basketball. Four fangs show but inside his mouth are several rows of small teeth angled inward much like a shark. He's very protective of Lisana, much in the way a guarddog would protect its master. He may bite, so beware.... His favorite morsels to eat are what he calls Tasties, but it's unknown at this time what those Tasties truly are. Yeti has recently awakened from being a stone statue, a spell cast on him via a charm Lisana used in the past.
Efte's Aiko They reside with Tempest and Taj, but Moonshadow frequents Lisana's rooms. There is the possibility that he might be seen there.
Calypso
Calypso is a banshee that troubles Lisana from time to time out of amusement. Currently she is still locked away in her bag as Lisana has not found the key.
Jhyett
Jhyett She serves Lisana and lives within the goddess' rooms. She shares a room with Dat.
Dat
Dat Dat is an Aoide and served Lisana in the past and will do so in the present and future. Dat is a creature of magic, and feeds off a particular laugh. She was born from that particular laugh when Lisana first laughed it herself. The less Lisana laughed it herself, though, the less Dat existed. When she finally could not find it within herself to laugh that way anymore, Dat ceased to be. Dat has returned and resides in Lisana's rooms.
Lady Sinestra
Lady Sinestra Age:: Unknown Hair:: Snowy white dreadlocks Eyes:: A pale gray
Description Her age is unknown though she seems an ancient crone. Her eyes are gray and seem to see through people as they gaze from beneath white dreadlocks. She seldom dresses in anything but black with red and violet trim, a myriad of beaded bracelets jangling on both wrists while her neck is covered in the same style of necklaces. The only thing that really stands out is a strange symbol at the end of a silver chain. None know what it means and she isn't explaining.
Irdra is Sinestra's servant. She's always dressed in black, shows little emotion, and serves only the fortune-teller. She is quiet, very formal and those who meet her barely remember her even being there beyond leading them to Lady Sinestra. The connection between she and Sinestra is unknown at this time, but there is a hidden one.
Her history is unknown at this time, though she does serve Lisana for the moment. Her rooms are in the mortal halls.
Arturos
Arturos is a hound that Eftemie found while she was out to see what is going on in the current world. He is seldom seen but if so usually with her.
Meroe
Meroe's age is unknown. All that's known of him is that he's a ghostly juggler and tosses his own head about to amuse others. Eftemie saw him at the DSOM carnival and he found his way to Lisana later. He frequents the Pantheon occasionally displaying antics to make Lisana laugh.

For ZhijianPlaces:Zhijian's Rooms Zhijian's rooms are...incomplete, to say the least. He has no furniture, and nothing to sleep on but the pile of furs gifted to him by Harmodius. The rest of his hoard lies semi-organized on the floor, but some piece just weren't made to stay put. Sabah's Estate Sabah's sprawling estate consists of a very large house, a barn/facility for siirae, and a smaller caretaker's house. It's all - rather strangely - in the middle of the suburbs. Sabah's been there since before it was suburbs, and has never been willing to sell. Abandoned Mansion A large old house in Victorian style, it sits several miles away from the city. It's been stripped bare of everything valuable, leaving little more than ash and furniture between its walls. Museum A grand five-story building at the edge of the city, this too has been picked mostly clean of everything of obvious value. There are two underground levels here, as well: first, Records; second, Storage - which includes Curiosities and a section Zhijian has yet to explore. NPCs:[The majority of these probably won't come back into play, but Seppa knew them all, so here they go.] Sabah Part benefactor, part friend, and part employer, Sabah is a woman of very mysterious origins. She currently dabbles in the breeding of siirae, and has an obsessive interest in everything occult. Well over a dozen pards make their home with her. Shady Magician The portal mage Zhijian relied on to get him to the world of the Tenquistel. He never bothered to get the man's name, and resents having had to pay him with a piece from his hoard. Hanna A young woman of the Tenquistel, and servant of the king.

For Rio:Places:Rio's Rooms Alex (and subsequently Rio) inherited Eamnonn's old rooms when he left, and they're just about the same as they were in the Hunt was in residence. The only real differences are the orchids hanging from the trees, and the second bathing pool in the extra room, which Orin dug when Alex was a guest. NPCs:Jonathan Hart The vampire who turned Alex, who had fallen in love with him, then failed to teach her properly and take care of her. Unwilling to face the consequences of being responsible for an unstable new vampire, he took her to Gaia and left her there. Sabah Alex was in Sabah's employ for a short time, as a keeper for her siirae. Mrs. Christopher The old woman in whose basement Alex had taken up residence without her knowledge. Though they never properly met, Alex grew to like her, and once thwarted a break-in. Alexandru, Elisabeta, and Radu Korzha Alex's father, mother, and younger brother. Shortly after being turned, she made the mistake of going to visit them, and things went terribly wrong, resulting in their deaths.
