Cal woke up on this nice sun shiny morning... All was quiet and serene. She sighed softly and rolled over, squinting a bit as light was reflected into the semi-translucent matterial of her shiny candy home. It was perfect... After a bit of a stretch she rolled over to sleep some more... Until...
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Cal's eyes widdened and glowed brightly in shock, jumping a full foot off her bed and becoming entangled into her sheets as she flailed. More crying followed, a lower pitched voice.. then another voice.. till it was an agonizing chorus of screams and cries for food and attention. She groaned, eyes welling up in her eyes as she crawled out of bed, almost afraid to check for the spawn that she KNEW had come... She trotted into the living room and peeked around the corner of the door. She had stuffed the feathers into a chest and set them in the corner of her living room... But the chest had been opened from some unseen force, and beside it lay 4 very hungry pups...

Having remained outside, as Calypso told him. The zombie coffee had settled his body by the front porch of the house, claws crossed in his usual manner, head up, and eyes unmoving on the horizon, a posture he had kept since Calypso had gone into the house for the night. Only moving when he heard an uproar from within the house. Blinking slowly, his head rotating to the side, eyes shifting over to look at the house. Obviously… the pups had arrived… Not getting up, having no reason to move until Calypso came out and told him to do something. Most fathers would probably be in a rush to see their babies. It could be somewhat disturbing in a way… finding that Jedrek did not care.
The world was bright, it was cold, and everything smelled to uncomfortable. His little body screamed for something, he had no idea what it could be, but it was an uncomfortable feeling. All he could do was sit there and cry. Hoping that maybe it would help. Soft new claws sprawled out in front of his. Eyes shut tight, and mouth, lined with little pointed baby teeth, stretched wide in his screams. He was the lightest of his siblings, with a soft glow about him. What looks like ribbons of glowing wind flowed around the pup, seeming to try calm him.

Colors. Everywhere.
Her body shivered uncontrollably as an innate sense of fear coursed through her. Nothing seemed right, nothing seemed wrong… it was all just a senseless blur of colors and emotions she could not comprehend. Tired eyes found their way to three other colored bodies, all of which seemed to be writhing with discomfort. Noises escaped their tiny maws, yet she remained silent and perplexed.
The closest to her was a bright, lightly colored creature that she (for some unknown reason) felt an immediate attachment to. The poor thing seemed stressed over something she didn’t think even he understood. With a shake of her small wings, the little girl rolled her way over to the crying thing and chirped, surprised that even she could make such a loud noise.

Nari was probably the first one to cry out, if not the second. But either way, she was defenitly the loudest. She screamed in need, her paws shaking as her body told her she needed... something. She didn't know what, but it was something important, that she couldn't live without. Claw scraped against the floor, leaving long hideous scraps. This would not help her mother's mood in the least...
Cal just stared in utter horror... For probably a good ten minutes. Most mothers would have cried with joy at seeing such beautiful children.. But not her. The tears that streamed down her face were from pure and utter sorrow.. and hate. Her chest burned with it, it made her hands shake and clench around the door frame. Her body turned back into the bedroom and she leaned herself against the wall, trying to control her breathing. It'd be ok.. surely.. It'd be ok...
But it would NOT be ok! Rage bubbled up in her, making her muzzle wrinkle as she sneared. She couldn't let this go on. Quickly she stomped into the living room, ignoring the needy screams from her disgusting children. Snatching up the large heavy chest, she raised it above her head, letting it hover there for a moment as she stared down coldly at them. Without hestitation or pity, she brought down the make shift weapon in an attempt to bash their still frail and weak skulls in...
But of course, the moment before the chest hit the children, an unseen force blew Calypso backwards, making her drop the chest and topple backwards onto the floor.
DAMMIT.

Sound of thumping added onto the crying motivated Jedrek to stand, turning towards the house, but not approaching it, an eyebrow cocked in mild curiosity. He figured it was just another one of her attempts to destroy their pups.
Becoming suddenly away that there were others around him. The little pup blinked open his tear filled eyes. The first thing he saw was a small black face very close to his. He didn’t know it, but it didn’t make him want to scream louder, so he guessed it must be good. He continued to cry, dragging himself forward and grabbing onto the other pups eat, sucking on it as if hoping it would help him stop feeling uncomfortable.

The small girl’s eyes widened, a strange tick beating at her chest… something she needed to get rid of. Avice pulled her face back, taking her ear along with her. Without warning, she clamped her petite mouth around the base of one of the little boy’s horns. An unsuspected, feminine growl emitted from her throat. The wetness on just a small part of her body, however, was enough to destroy her. In less than a moment she began flailing around the room, trying her best to wipe the saliva from her furred ear.
Her attention deficit mind soon became attached to a large, hideous thing on the opposite side of the room. It moved, spoke, lived. Avice’s paws tingled with anticipation, but her mind was blank.
“It,” she stated firmly, the growl remaining her words. “It,” she said again, though this time the disgust in her voice was more apparent.
It didn’t seem right… such a small thing, moments from birth, being filled with such vengeance. Something silent told her that she should be pleased, happy, even grateful. Unfortunately… the tick within her told her otherwise.

Such... annoyance... Cal's eye twitched as she laid there on the floor, listening to the cries of her children. It wasn't until one of the... disgusting creatures bumped into her that she reacted at all. She sat up and glared down at the bird like pup, baring her teeth at her before scooping it up by the back of the neck, not even bothering to be gentle (Not that it would hurt the pup at all anyway!), then stood and stomped over to the window. She leaned back, then threw the pup out into the open morning air, it skidding in a bright red flash onto the fresh grass. And of course, landed painlessly.
"ALL OF YOU! Out!!!" She screamed, desperately needing to just.. get them away! She quickly scooped up the rest and they joined their sister outside, landing in a small pile of pup. Then she stomped out the door and glared out over them, slender paws on her hips. She glanced over to Jed and glared at him. "Don't just stand there you brainless idiot! Go feed them!"
Nari continued squealing, even when she was tossed around. Like a little fire cracker she 'Weeeeeee'ed across the yard and landed in a mess of limbs on her coffee borther. She whined and squirmed a bit, then clung to him, sniffing a bit. Something... what different about him. She blinked her eyes open, her vision blurring slightly. After a moment it finally came into focus, though she whimpered and squinted as his glowing ribbons swirled around her. Odd... She finally shut up for a moment then blinked down at him. So pretty...
She looked up and around, focusing for the first time not on herself, but the world around her. Beside her was another numa pup, the same color as herself... And then beside her, another! But this one... EWWW! COOTIES!! She whinced and flicked up her small nose to him, then turned her attention on her other brother, giggling as she started to lick behind his ear.

It didn’t take long after the thump before a small red ball was being tossed out the window. Following its progress to the ground, he slowly at it, realizing it was one of the pups. Looking back at the house as Calypso continued to yell then saw three more Pups being tossed out as well. He still had no reason to move, until Calypso had screamed at him to feed them. obeying his mate, he walked over to the nearest Candy plant. Destroying many of them as he pulled the gummies off the tree. Then approached the pups, carelessly dropping the candies in front of them, watching them to see if they would eat.
Dazed by the sudden change of scenery, and because there was now someone sitting on top of him. He blinked up at his little sister, Whining loudly as he was suddenly licked. Though it was at least a halfway decent distraction from the awkwardness he was feeling. The ribbons around him flowed more gently at least.

Agitated beyond words (or growls), Avice shook her feathers and puffed her fur. The ugly thing that made her head hurt had touched her… gross. Again, her attention was stolen by the semi-motionless younglings around her. The beautiful icy boy was being soothed by her similar-colored sister that gave her the willies. The third was a seemingly grotesque pile of… something alive. Her maw curled in an almost cruel smile, but nothing less than adoration filled her.
A sudden drop of sweet-smelling things startled her. Her gaze penetrated the food before her and a ravenous nature seemed to overcome her, yet she remained still. She looked up, a larger beast that resembled her green sibling. Another feeling of attachment swept over her, though this time it was stronger than the previous ones she had captured.
Avice crawled her way over to the rotting male and sat at his clawed feet, staring up at him with loving eyes. There was nothing more in this world that she wanted other than being near him. “Daddy,” she stated with utter confidence.

... And yet still, through the screams and chaos of so many desperate pups and horrified mothers, there was one tiny Numa that remained perfectly silent, curled tightly into a shuddering little ball. Even the roughness of Calypso's manhandling didn't rouse a cry from the olive-colored anomaly, but merely caused it to drip and dribble a strange, greenish saliva from between the crooked baby teeth.
Certainly, this one was the strangest of the bunch... not beautiful in the least like his siblings, but rather an odd patchwork of scruffy hair and stinking ooze. Long tracks of stitching seemed to hold his body together, even going to far as to seal the right eyelid closed-- though the left, curiously, had already cracked open to reveal a hazy, neon-green blot of iris.
But it wasn't his appearence that made this little beast so strange... no, it was the behavior of him-- and the fact that he had never uttered a sound.
A sweet smell seemed to register then, for the pup's little nose had begun to twitch curiously and, not a moment later, it began an awkward crawl to reach one of the sugary things and devour it. With paws that were sticky and greenish, grasping was difficult... but he managed all the same, and swallowed it down in silence. Apparently satisified, it then shifted over to fumble with another and repeat the procedure, oddly... dainty, for one so desperately hungry.

Nari giggled and continued to lick her brother, rolling off of him so that she was by his side. She licked his cheek then the nuzzled into him affectionately. And continued licking, coating him in a few lines of saliva. This process was continued until she reached his small stubby horn. She blinked. It tasted different! For a moment her never ending need was satisfied.. But Tage's infant horn was not yet filled with caffene, so the comfort was over quickly. She frowned, then sniffed and lifted her head to cry again. The dropped food gave no comfort either.. It didn't smell right.
Cal's eye twitched as the watched and heard the cries. With a huff she stomped over and scooped up Narissa, shaking her for a moment. "Stop it! For candy's sake! SHUT UP!" Though a normal babies brain would be in trouble from shaking around in it's skull, it didnt hurt Nari at all. She just cried louder. This of course made Cal madder and she dropped the baby, sitting on the grass with a infuriated sigh. She could do nothing to quiet them... accept give them what they needed.
"Idiot..." She muttered to Jed. She knew the candy he had given wouldnt help... They needed horns. With a pain filled look, and tear coated eyes, she reached up and snapped off the very tip of her horn, chipping off a few flakes and placing them in front of the two candies, then glancing up at Jed. "You have to give them.. two," She gestured to the coffees. "Your horns. And don't let them touch you! Geesh, the vermine don't deserve to be happy..."

Uncertain of how to react to all this slimy attention his sister was giving him he just sat there, whining and squirming where he lay. Holding very still when she stopped, not entirely comfortable with the wet feeling on the side of his head. Finally getting up the will to move his head, he turned to look at his sister. To his astonishment started crying… well that only reminded him how upset he was, which got him going again as well.
His expression remained as bleak as it always did. Two of the pups went for the candy right away… while the other two had no interest whatsoever. Though that was obvious of course, two of them were Coffee. Something red approached him as his eyes had fallen on the Coffee pups. Gathering his attention, he slurped.
She was more mobile then the others ones were, and more aware. Not responding to the name she had called him. He just stood there, still and blank. Eyes on his Candy daughter, but there was no life, in his stare.
The sudden absence of his sister’s body on him only upset him more. Feeling suddenly alone and cold, he stared up at his mother. Frightened and disturbed by what he saw, even though she did not seem hurt. But why would there mother do that?
Taking note on what Calypso was doing, not taking offence on her insults; he reached a claw up, taking a hold of one of his horns. And snapping a chunk off, Setting it down in front of the Coffee Pups. “I would not touch them anyway” he reminded her.

Her father's lack of attention toward her stung and for the first time since her arrival, tears began rolling from her eyes and dripping down her charred black cheeks. Nevertheless, she remained close to him as he tended to her two siblings and ignored the food.
Another chirp came forth from her small chest. "Daddy," she said again, still clinging close to his oozing form. Her tiny jaw clamped down upon Jedrek's nearest body part... a claw, to be exact. As he moved, she was dragged along with him, ensuring her closeness.

With two pieces of candy clumsily devoured, the strange, olive-colored pup suddenly hesitated... and once again lapsed into a fit of sniffing. There was some new sweet smell in the air, he knew... but locating it through the thick scent of his own sticky fur was difficult. It was slow going, but sure enough, the oozing paws were soon grappling with a flake of horn between his digits, and finally lapped it up on his tongue.
The taste was infinately more satisfying than any candy... though it tasted less... pleasent, somehow, if that made sense at all.
Another flake was taken, and another-- still dainty, but ravenous, until his share was all choked down. With his stomach now satisifed, the next order of business could be attended... and he wasted no time in handling the matter. Sluggishly shifting his forelegs, the little pup pushed off his belly, hanging in an awkward half-stand for some long seconds and finally rocking back on his haunches, into a sitting position that would give his one-eyed vision a better view.
"..." His mouth opened, showing little pointed teeth in a sea of viscous green slime... but no sound came out. Perhaps the sight of Calypso had simply astonished him into silence? But no... not quite...
"...V...vermin?" It was a dry squeak, but definately a word... staring straight up at his mother with plain confusion. "...Vermin?"
