The seaside den was filled with a scent of salt and sweat, the teltale sine of birth floating upon the air. In the corner of the room, curled up and relaxed, sat a large pale lioness, her brown eyes downcast as she let off a sweet sigh. It had been a long night, but as the sun rose Palesa knew that really it was no worse than when her first three had came, in fact it seemed almost swifter. Thankfully, she asked for Kikore and Ivie to spend time outside of her cave for the past week, she didn't want them around during the birth.

More so just because she was sure Kikore would have a heart attack, and she needed Ivie to sooth him over while he was away. Moving down at the thought, she took a second to lick the head of her firstborn son of the litter, his dark green coat matching her own low lights while his little tuff of mane was the pale color of the rest of her family.

When she decided he was clean, she moved onto her second son, one whos pelt matched that of the mysterious rouge she mated with not too long before. His yellow pelt cleaned easily, but it was his pure white mane she had to work hard for. Also, she felt proud to see the beginning markings of her own flowing across his pelt.

As she finished him, she went to her youngest son, a lighter green than the first which matched the family's, his yellow markings also blending with his brother. Pride filled her chest as she looked down to the three slumbering newborns, and she slowly turned her eyes up to the entrance of her den, calling softly to her two children incase they were near and wished to see the life that just entered this world.

"Mother? Kikore? Are you here?" She had just returned from her meeting with Ausi and was on exceptionally high spirits. That female would be a good friend, of that Ivie was very sure.

As she drew near the den she gave up on Kikore's name altogether and decided to call only to her mother. Oh dear Palesa. Ivie was truly a mummy's girl through and through. She was so glad she had found them both again, so very glad. Sometimes she wondered what had happened to Vit and daddy but...she was sure they were okay. Right now this was where Ivie wanted to be.

Suddenly he heard mother's voice close by and ear black-rimmed ears perked up. She burst into a trot, peeking around until she found the den where mother was.

"Mother? Mother are you okay? Mother I have so much to tell you~!" She reached the entrance and peeked inside, only to have a cloud of new scents waft up her nostrils.

"...Mother?"

Kikore heard his name and lifted from his sleep outside of the den, enjoying the sea breeze as he shook his bi-colored mane. Seeing his sister walking away, he moved to follow her and grinned as she called out for their mother. It was good to have her back, the youngest sister and baby of the family, though he thought that with an endearing heart. Ivie was a sweety, and he was happy she made it back home once again.

However, when she questioned out this time, he jogged over to her side and was hit with the same scent, his nose recoiling up with a bit of a gag. Not seeing the small cubs in his mother's arm, he glanced around cooly before shaking his head once more.

"What happened in here?" It was a soft question as his amber eyes sought out his mother's warmer ones.

Palesa watched her two cubs enter the cave, and found herself softly chuckling at each of their reactions. Once she had her energy back, she would make sure to explain exactly what was going on, but for the moment she really wanted to skip the sexual education of her family. Hoping they either knew already, or didn't care, she just called out once more.

"Kikore, Ivie, I think it is finally time you met your younger siblings, they decided they had enough and wanted to see our world for a change..." Her voice was a whisper but the love still filled each sylable as she waved her tail back and forth, waiting for her two elder cubs to come and see the three youngest.

ivie liked being the baby of the family. She adored the attention and she loved being the sweet one. It was something she prized beyond anything else. Yet if her mother had heard the strangethoughts going through Ivie's head she might not have even recognised her daughter as of late.

That was one of the things that Ivie wished to discuss. These thoughts bothered her. Thoughts of revenge had crossed hre mind and a strange anger that had been born from such pure a love. Then there was Dharba...

She shook her head then and almost jumped out of her skin as Kikore arrived on scene. As he passed by her she moved to rub her head against his side, purring happily at his appearance.

Another good turn of events, she was beginning to take control of her powers.

Then she followed in after him, encouraged by her mother's voice from inside.

"Younger siblings?" She breathed. Yes Ivie was innocent as far as the birds and the bees were concerned. She had felt something tugging on her desires perhaps a few suns ago but it had only confused her. It had been her first time on heat and though she had not reacted upon it and had been lucky enough not to bump into male rogues, she had not dwelled on it much. She had considered it yet another strange thing that she would have to get used to.

"Mother what...oh!" She gasped, her breath catching in her throat as she set eyes on three bundles of fur. She sniffed and glanced up into her mother's face, her eyes full of questions.

Having seen his mother take on a few pounds the past few months, Kikore had a feeling of what was going on. And yet, that little hunch didn't prepaire him for seeing the real thing right in front of him. And so, he just stopped as his sister did, covered in the darkness of the cave with the rising sun warming their backs, and felt his paws go weak.

"Younger Siblings?" He echoed both his mother and his younger sister, before his amber eyes all but fell out of his head. Now his legs did give way, and he fell ungracefully to his belly with a woosh of air, "I have...this means...you must...siblings?" He could only sputter out as he looked from his mother to the three sleeping cubs and back again.

Kikore's reaction she expected, so Palesa ignored him for a second to let him collect his thoughts. Instead, she turned her eyes into the questioning ones of her daughter, and sent her a hopefully reassuring smile.

"I have been pregnant for awhile now, and now you have three little brothers to grow up with. Hopefully both of you understand that this just means we have more family to love and to live with, but you will always hold the same place in my heart." She looked down to her sons before speaking out once again.

"They are asleep now, so if you would like to come closer, they wont wake up. You both slept for hours after your first feeding." Chuckling at that, she looked back to her daughter and son, purring and hoping they would welcome the new family members before them.

The petite lioness felt herself tear up as she gazed at the three cubs. They were not ones born from sadness, but rather from joy and shock. She shook her head and purred, drawing herself closer and luaghing at her brother.

She buffetted her head against his shoulder and curled her tail around her hind quarters as she settled on the floor of the den, close enough to the cubs to see their little sides rising and falling with sleep.

"Were we really that small, mother?" She asked, hardly believing her eyes. Would she have cubs one day? She was reminded of the image in her vision, the green and grey cub. Could that cub be real someday?

"Do they have names yet?" She whispered, still worried she would wake them.

Having collected himself, Kikore playfully glared at his sister for her laughter, but did not pull away as he too looked at the small forms. Not really able to voice anything just yet, he nodded at the question of size, and stared unblinking to the three before him.

"Yes, you three were quite small, actually smaller in fact thanks to your father's genes. He came from a very petit line of lions, so you got your slim forms from him. However, these three will hold more rouge blood like me, so odds are they will have a bit of a different appearence as they grow older..." Thinking it over, she continued to purr to keep the three asleep, thinking over the names she had in mind as she looked at each for the first time.

"The eldest of the litter," She started, nodding to the darkest male with a warm smile, "Will be named Abayomi..." Giving him a lick for good measure, she grinned as he wiggled closer into her embrace, a large yawn splitting his maw.

"The youngest over here," Continuing on, she moved to the lighter green of the three, "Is named Dembe, and the middle sibling with the yellow pelt is Shahaab."

"Oh, so pretty!" Ivie replied, her eyes twinkling as she glanced at them. It was strange to think that her younger brothers might be bigger than her when they were older, though she supposed it was only to be expected. They were boys after all and it was understandable since they were of rogue blood.

"Mother...where is their father? I mean...Na-Be isn't their daddy too, is he." It wasn't a question, it was a fact. It saddened her that mother had found a new mate but she supposed it was only to be expected.

She thought of Fedha and Dharba and her heart sank a little.

"Can I...can I help babysit them, please?" She asked tentatively.

"Of course Father isn't their father...Father never had yellow in his pelt," Kikore added in with a soft statement, not condenscending as he looked to his sister, "Whoever was their father had yellow, right Mother?" He looked down to the middle child, Shahaab, and smiled softly. It would be fun having three younger brothers, finally getting the male siblings to play with and teach. It was fun with sisters, but he really couldn't wait to see how younger brothers would act.

Palesa took a long moment to think over the answer, looking down to her cubs before letting out a sigh, "During certin times of the year, lions fall into what is called 'heat'...there they are filled with passion, and express it by finding a temporary mate if they do not already have one. Though I do not regret my actions, since I have you two to help me out, but I do ask that you two be careful when you find yourself acting strange around those of the opposite sex..."

She trailed off before laughing a bit louder this time, "But now is not the time to think about when one is in heat, I'll answer that later, now is the time for family. Ivie, I wouldn't trust anyone but our family to watch these three, and I know you will be a great big sister, as will you be a great big brother Kikore..."

She stalled a moment, "However...I am afraid until they grow older, we will have to stay here...though I personally don't mind, I can understand if you two wish to go out on adventures and travel, because you are my children..." Smiling at that, she looked between the two of them, watching their reactions.

Heat? Did that explain why she had felt so odd lately? She was suddenly glad that she had been too tired to leave the dens. What if she had sought out Dharba during that time? Suddenly she felt embarrased but secretly ewondered if this could be used to her advantage. If she sought out Fedha whilst she was...no, no, no, no! How awful of her to think such things!

She flattened hre ears at such a thought and took amoment to target her thoughts back on the cubs.

"I just want to stay with you mother. I have everything I need right here!" She smiled. "If there's anything I can do to help you then I will!" She nodded eagerly.

She cast a small gaze towards Kikore at his words and shook her head. "I guess so..." She sniffed. "So...these cubs won't know their father? Is that...is that normal?"

He looked at his sister before moving close and rubbing his cheek against hers, purring like his mother did when they were young in effort to make her feel better.

"It's normal," Kikore answered swiftly, dispite the fact he had no clue if he was right or not, "A lot of lions grow without a parent, but really all that matters it that they have a mother, who will raise them with the same love and kindness that we grew up with."

He than turned his eyes to his mother, "I'm staying here too, Mother, I came all this way with you, I don't have plans to let that all go. I want to stay by your's and Ivie's side, and I'm sure Kilango does too, she says she loves the ocean."

Her face lit up at both of their responses to stay, and she smiled at Kikore's attempt to help his sister feel not as bad. Looking down, she promised she would try her hardest to raise all three like she did her first three, with the love and kindness Kikore spoke of. It was all she could do, to watch over them now that she brought them into the world.

"For the first few weeks they will be pretty dependant on me, but after that they will be all over the place and begging to play with any and everyone they come in contact with..."

She smiled at her brother and her heart warmed as she realised they were all going to be staying together. She smiled even wider at another realisation. "And look! I'm still mummy's littlest girl!" She giggled at this and smiled affectionately down at the three boys.

All so adorable.

"Who is Kilango, brother?" She asked, curiously. It seemed she had missed out on something big in Kikore's life.

"Oh...mother...is it okay if I speak to you about something important, later? You know...like...girl talk." She smiled though it was clear she was uncomfortable with the situation.

Suddenly his purring stopped, and a clear heat raised from his cheeks at the 'innocent' question from his sister. Looking fleetingly at his mother, and back to Ivie, he took a step away and swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat.

"No one!" He snapped suddenly, a bit too quickly as he dimly realized. Lowering his ears, he mumbled slowly the next part, "She's just a lioness who won't leave me alone..."

Watching with mirth formed in her brown eyes, Palesa shifted a bit as her low rumbled continued for the three males. Keeping a close eye on Kikore's whole reaction, she quickly jumped in when he seemed not to wish to say much more on the topic.

"Kilango is another Pridelander who had...well visions of traveling with us, and used her claws and teeth to keep by our side. She has grown out of that stage thankfully, but still seems to like being with your brother..." Eyes trained onto the male, she let out her own giggle as he seemed to squirm, before deciding to give him mercy.

"And of course, Ivie, you can always talk to me. I'll let Kikore watch his brothers-" Cut off by his response, her laughter breezed out once again, soft as to not wake the newborns.
