"I'm going to look over there." Alora informed her brother, pointing over to a wide array of machines which boasted adorable stuffed toys in it, tempting many to try and grab them out using the metal hand that hovered over the plushies.
Orange eyes with a tinge of worry settled on her for a moment, but his hand still grasped the gun firmly. "Be careful." The spiky red-haired boy replied, spotting movement from the corner of his eye and shooting an undead zombie that was leering towards him on the screen with expertise.
Clad in a simple light-blue dress, the winged girl nodded, white feathered wings fluttering slightly as she walked over to the machines, watching others playing instead. After a few observations, she came to the conclusion that the machines were rather possessive of the plushies, refusing to let the players gain possession of them.

Valens was a big boy, always had been and the older he got the bigger he got. Currently he almost reached five foot in height and he was only a preteen which hade his mother wondering idly how tall he was going to get and his father wondering where they were gonna find clothing if he got any larger. Already they were buying him some stuff from the adult section in the store. No doubt why he was dressed to look older then he was. he was wear jeans that had been cut to so there was a slit at he bottom so his hooves and feathering was able to come out without being all squished, and another cut so his long dark tail could come out and lay comfortably. He was wearing a button up white shirt that had the sleeves removed from it, Val's idea more then anyone elses.
He was starring into one of the machines with teh stuffed animals in them feeling a bit jipped. Thus far he'd tried at least ten times any only had won two of the animals out of it. A small purple... cat thing and a neon oh-em-gee-it-burns-my-eyes colored bird. They were sitting on top of the machine and he put in another quarter to try to get another one. Something that wasn't as painful to ones retinas.
It was when he was starring into the machine that he caught the reflection of someone standing nearby watching the way the machines worked. He blinked a couple times then realized he had to try to win more so that he didn't look like a loser in front of a girl... so he concentrated, aiming to get a cute black dog... and ended up instead snagging hold of a brightly colored animal instead. What was it with the neon animals liking him so much...?

One of the reasons why she came over was to avoid looking at bloodshed even if it was just a game. With every gunshot, she had winced, and was rather disgusted at the detail put into the monsters. So much violence. She sighed.
Light blond hair flowed down to her waist and swayed gently as sky blue eyes observed the older boy. He was about the age of her brother, a few years older than her probably. She noticed his dark tail and hooves, and wondered vaguely if he was a D-Corp as well. A equine of sorts perhaps? He seemed to have gotten a few brightly coloured plushies out of the machine. Alora preferred lighter colours, but at least he had to luck to get some. Disgruntled people were walking away after feeding a number of quarters to the machines and not managing to grab any.
She walked closer and wondered if she should try her luck. It looked rather fun, but she was hesitant.

Valens squatted down so that he could pull the newest brightly colored critter and looked it over before tossing it over with the other two where they were waiting, sitting on top of the game. He looked over at the pretty if quiet girl that was standing there, "Are you wanting to play?" He asked, taking a couple of clicking steps back away from the machine, "I don't mean to hog it." His ears turned forward.
He reached up to collect his prizes and stuffed them into a bag that was sitting next to the machine, it contained now both the handful of animals he'd gotten from here along with a few other random prizes he'd gotten from some of the other machines in the place. He'd been doing well enough it would seem.

Alora's blue eyes widened considerably. She shook her head. "No, I..." She let out a sigh, and twisted a finger around a strand of her blond hair. She had made him a little upset, it seemed, and she hadn't mean for that to happen. All she wanted to do was watch, although Brother had often encouraged her to speak up, thinking she was shy. Well, that wasn't the problem, she just liked to remain quiet. "I was just watching you play." She smiled at him and her eyes drifted over to the bag almost full of prizes.

Valens tilted his head to the side before he gave a nod, "Ahh. Ok. That I can do, anyone you want? I can try for it." He offered, then again if he tried for something that wasn't brightly colored he wasn't sure if he would be able to catch it. The bright ones seemed to like him the best.
He dug into his pocket to get a handful of quarters and laid them on the top of the machine where he could get at them easier, he put one into the machine before looking back to the bird girl, "I'm Valens or Val. You have a name little birdy?"

Alora heaved a sigh of relief. Great, she didn't mean to hurt his feelings after all. "Um...anything's okay." She said rather quietly.
Valens. It was a nice name. "I'm Alora." She offered, taking a few steps closer, letting herself relax. She really shouldn't be this tense around strangers.

Valens nodded, "Anything? Heh. That I think I can do." He said as he manuvered the hook hand around, watching carefully the way that it went and the animals that looked like he would be able to snag. He shifted it forward to the side, side, forward... back. Then hit the button. Ok, he would try to get the little birl girl a stuff bird, it would be fitting right? Of course it didn't get the bird instead snagging upon and capturing for Alora a cat.
Oops...
"Your not afraid of cats are you Alora?" He asked, as the claw dropped the prize into the shoot so that he could pick it up.

Alora watched him move the hook around, trying to grab a plushie. A cat? She gave a little giggle at the look on his face, stifling the rest with a small grin. "Actually, it's fine. Thank you." She took the cat with a smile and cuddled it. It might be a little weird that Alora wasn't scared of cats, perhaps because Temujin, the house cat was warned not to scratch her. Still, he still gave her and everyone else the same black face with his grumpy mood.

"Thats good, glad that you like it." He said, putting another quarter into the machine to make another attempt at getting the black dog, "You ever play any of these games?" He asked. He supposed that not everyone was good at games, it seemed to be one thing he was good at aside from picking up and moving around heavy things.
He gave a little grummbled as he missed the dog once more but at least this time he didn't come away with anything that was hugely bright. He grabbed his extra quaters to pocket them, "I think I'm gonna try another game, wanna drift with me Alora?" Val was never one to turn down company, especially the company of fellow Dcorpers. Or so he was guessing she was by her look, he could be wrong.
Valens lead the way to find some new games. There was only one problem with that, Valens had no sense of direction so following him was risking getting lost with him.

Alora smiled, squeezing the little cat in her arms. "Not really. My brother does though." Yes, Mereneth was usually the one found on game consoles, while she was always beside him watching, understanding the game in her own quiet way.
At his question, she hesitated slightly and threw a glance back at her brother, who was still shooting the zombies happily. Oh well, she promised him to be careful right? And this boy seemed okay. She nodded slightly with a small grin and followed, "Alright."

"They are fun, so long as I am careful." He said, then looked over at Alora and laughed, "Broken some controllers before myself, to into the games and a bit to strong." He had to be careful with a lot of what he did so that he wouldn't risk breaking things on accident.
He paused as another game caught his eye, a fighting game of sorts. He liked those, "Wanna try this one with me?" He asked of Alora willing to share his quarters with her if she didn't have any. After all boys were supposed to pay for girls when they hung out or something if he remembered what his mother had told him.

Alora nodded in understanding. "When Brother got angry, he set a controller on fire once." Although she saw no reason to be so agitated. It was just a game.
The blond girl hesitated as she looked at the game. Fighting. She didn't like it, it was...violent. But Valens was quite polite, and she couldn't refuse. "Okay." She said softly.

"Fire? Wow. Game must have made him really mad." He said, he'd been frustrated with games before but not to that extent. Then again he couldn't say that being angry at a game hadn't cost him controllers before, he would clench down on them and next thing he knew: CRUNCH! new controller time. Needless to say his father was never amused and his mother was often trying to get him out of trouble saying he didn't know his own strength.
"I will go easy on you don't worry." He said as he put the coins in the machine for them then went to searching through playable characters and decided on a girl for himself since she had neat hair and was well, bouncy. One couldn't blame him he was a boy after all...

Alora smiled tentatively. Her brother did have a rather hot temper, and that wasn't because he was a pyro. Mom was too, and she seemed to be just fine.
Alora randomly selected one character that had just popped up. A boy. To her surprise, she found herself anticipating this. She had never played nay games before, so this? It could be fun.
