my friend said she read in a magazine that a fan or a few fans were trying to reach Rumiko Takahashi to ask her to let them keep InuYasha going. I'm not sure if it will happen yet though. Do you guys think its a good idea? Keep in mind it won't be by the original creator though.

Uhhhhh what? Rumiko is still writing/drawing the manga, she has been for the past ten years. TEN YEARS!!!! That's a long time for a manga to be running. I'm sorry but they should be petitioning for an ending, not for it to continue. I'm tired of thinking it's going to end and Naraku just ends up running away, again. I love the manga and all but it's about time to end it.
If you're talking bout the anime, the petition is useless because Rumiko, has no power over the anime other than letting the company licence it. They should be petitioning to animation company, what ever it's called.

wtf?!?! the show and manga should keep going untill 2440!!! i love wakeing up at 1'o clock in the morning to whatch it!!
but no i think that it should not continue unless the same person that created it is makeing it...

Are you really sure? The manga needs to end eventually, Naraku has to be defeated. I mean every other manga and anime I've seen and read has an ending, and normally it's a satisfying ending that ties everything up. As I've said before it's been running for ten years, and many fans are getting bored, and are hoping for an ending. And If you ever read the manga there are periods of time when it gets incredibly boring, I mean boring like you belive. I swear every time Rumiko runs out of ideas she throws a sword upgrade at us. All I ask for is a satisfying ending where Naraku is defeated and everyone is happy, oh and to make it snappy like some time this year, because you've been hinting at a conclusion since like last year. And when it ends I'll probably re-read it, but I'll find other stuff to do because I have a life.

I hope inuyasha won't end but if it isn't by the same writer than its not that good and plus all things need to end somtime or another

i don't really think she'll keep on going... crying she's been writing it for the past 10 years. LONG TIME! but i seriously hope she does cuz i am madly in luv with inuyasha!! i just wish the japanese stuff would come out in america already!! WE LOVE HIM TOO!!

that's a hard one. i mean i love inuyasha and want it to be forever, but at the same time, everyone wants to know the end. and sachiko-sama is right. a lot of fans are leaving it. my own friend was an inuyasha fan, but she said she got tired of it. i'm kinda neutral on the topic. i want it to keep going, but i also want an end. blaugh

I think it should end. Its been going on for a long time. But I don't think she should end it like they ended the anime series (It was a horibale ending). Really I think she runs on her storys a little to far. You know how many manga there are on ranma 1/2. A LOT! Over 34.
