Voltaire walked arm-in-arm with Caroline on one side and hand-in-hand with Annjette on the other side. The swan-girl had tailed after them as they had left Clair d'Lune. It almost as if the girl was keeping a sharp watchful eye on the pair. Or perhaps 'Jette was bored with sitting outside and playing with the ermine that was currently riding on her shoulder.

Annjette's left hand seemed free and while walking was nice she was becoming a little bored thus she lifted the hand and began to focus...

"You're right, Caroline, it is a lovely day out. I'm sorry we've caused everyone to worry, by the way. Not my intention. Annjette just refused to go out on her own much of the time..." Voltaire explained to the woman whom he had linked arms with, "Thank you for checking on us." He smiled at Caroline.

The swan-girl merely rolled her eyes as her name was mentioned, "Leave me out of your excuses," she mumbled and resumed concentration.

Caroline smiles as the golden afternoon sunlight streams onto her face. "Aye, it's no problem 'tall. I wasnae so much checkin' on ye as reconnectin'. Ro'n I havenae been out of our wagon much either." She shrugs a little. "It's lovely to have the company of a gentleman such as yerself," she says. She could play the flattery game too.

Tamlin sat cross-legged with her performance clothes draped across her lap in the small area Baptiste had set aside for the wagon. she had out a small mending kit and was cheerfully patching up any rough spots on the costume. As she worked the needle in and out she sang quietly to herself one of her mother's favorite songs.

She had almost finished when Baptiste's snoring startled her into pricking her finger instead of the fabric. She was not used to sharing a living space after so long traveling alone. Tamlin smiled, picked up her work and walked outside and sitting in the shade by the side of the wagon she resumed her patching.

after a few more minutes she finished. she stood up to see how her work had come, nodded to herself satisfactorily, and then looked at it quizzically. it was a well done job, but travel had taken its toll on her costume. "hmmm maybe i can improve upon this" she thought for bit and remember a few shiny beads she had picked up a while ago. she quietly went back into the wagon, found the small satchel of beads and returned outside.

now singing to herself she started working the small shiny beads in small spiraling patterns around the edges of costume.

"Reconnecting is about the same thing I suppose. Making sure you still have your friends and making sure they are all right." He nodded a bit as if accepting the answer, after completely ignoring Annjette's mumbled comment. Voltaire laughed a bit, "Watch who you're calling a gentleman," he replied teasingly as a faint blush crept up to his face before he could suppress it.

Annjette continued to concentrate for a moment longer ignoring flirt-n-flatter party the two grownups were having. After a moment a small twinkle of white energy appeared and then quickly went out. The swan-girl dropped her hand and sighed softly as she looked around. It didn't take long before the girl pulled her hand free and went toward Tamlin.

"That is a pretty song," the swan-girl said softly as she came to a stop in front of Tamlin. Announcing her presence gently so as not to completely frighten the busily working woman.

The half-elf stopped once Annjette pulled away and then glanced at Caroline, "Want to stop over there with her for a few moments?"

"A'right," agrees Caroline. "She seems to be part of the caravan...but I havenae seen her before." She smiles brightly. "Picking up more gypsies is so excitin'!" She allows herself to be steered in Tamlin's direction. "Och, and she's got a dancin' costume! We'll have to invite her to dance with us at fire!"

Pulling her needle through securing one last bead Tamlin looked up the girl in front of her.

"why thank you dearie, it was one my mother sang when to me when I was young."

The ermine on Annjette's shoulder sniffed toward Tamlin curiously before just crouching staring at the woman intently instead of leaping on over as he had done with Caroline earlier.

The swan-girl smiled a little at the woman. "My name is Annjette, what is yours?" obviously the girl wasn't shy about getting acquainted with strangers.

Voltaire walked leisurely along side with Caroline before he stood to stop just in time for introductions it seemed. The half-elf nodded his head to Tamlin, "and I am Voltaire. I am Annjette's father." He looked over to Caroline allowing her to introduce herself instead of doing so for her.

Caroline nods her head politely to Tamlin. "Caroline," she introduces herself. "A fellow dancer, it would seem." She smiles warmly.

"Tamlin Maire Sorcha, pleased to meet you all." she smiled at Caroline, "I do dance, but I'm trained in acrobatics more then anything"

She knotted her thread to secure her work, pulled off the needle and discarded the remaining thread. holding the needle carefully in her mouth she folded her costume up and set it beside her and then returned the needle to its place in her kit.

Annjette tilted her head, "Acrobatics? What are those?" she had never really heard of it before not even in the towns she had been to can she remember anyone performing this 'acrobatics' on the streets or if they had she didn't have the word for it until now.

The half-elf glanced down at his daughter and just shrugged a shoulder, "It is something better seen than explained I suppose," he chuckled, "and even explaining it is best to the person that is trained in it."

The swan-girl back and up at her Papa and just squinted at him and softly saying, "Silly man," and then turned her head back to Tamlin.

Tamlin stood up and patted Annjette on the head.

"Acrobatics is like dancing, only sometimes you dance on your hands or sometimes even completely off the ground. but as your papa said, its much easier to understand when seen, how about a small demonstration hmm?"

Tamlin set her costume down and moved just far away to avoid hitting the little girl and then turned a cartwheel to stop with her feet in the air. while on her hands she turned in a few circles, her hands moving in an intricate dance pattern, stopping a few times on one hand balancing in a particular pose. after she was satisfied she stepped back down and as her feet touched the ground she finished with a back handspring to land just in front of Anjette.

"what do you think hun? its dancing of a different sort. now how do you suppose it would look with four people dancing like that together with music and bright costumes?"

Caroline laughs, thoroughly amused by the acrobatics. "Verra bonnie," she says approvingly, clapping. She contemplates showing off her own art, but decides that's best left for another time. "You're verra talented, Miss Tamlin."

Annjette giggled at the pat on the head and then nodded, "I'd like that very much!" it was always wonderful to see new things, usually. She turned so she could watch what feats Tamlin would perform for her.

As Tamlin landed just in front of her the swan-girl let out a squeak of delight and clapped her hands together nearly unsettling the creature on her shoulder, "Oh! That was wonderful! How long did it take you to learn?" she asked and then another question flowed out of her mouth with a tone of concern hanging in it, "and do you get hurt when doing all that sometimes? What if you get something wrong?"

Voltaire clapped and grinned, "That was marvelous," he gently placed a hand on his daughter's unoccupied shoulder, "She only gets hurt if she isn't careful. I am sure she knew what she was getting into when she started the practice," the half-elf said gently trying to ease her worry.

"why thank you, ive been learning since i was 3, although it was nothing as hard as this. only somersaults where you never leave the ground." she smiled as she remembered her dad showing her all the basics and laughing at her sad attempts which usually ended up with her sprawled out on the ground.

"of course it takes a long time to learn, and you have to be careful not to get hurt. there are a lot of precautions you take when learning something new."
