Tournament of Death Update! Final Name & Rules. News on Participants.
(05.13.07)
Combat Zone Wrrestling presents "ULTRAVIOLENT TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 6" in Delaware on June 9, 2007. In the grand tradition of TOD past & present, CZW brings to you an unforgettable afternoon of the craziest, sickest, most insane, ultraviolent wrestlers alive today competiing to call themselves TOD CHAMPION. Some TOD Champions will go for another trophy, while some will make their TOD debut and literally look to carve their names into TOD history. Perhaps, some TOD-experienced talent from outside CZW may be looking to finally win the big one.

The venue for TOD 6 will be revealed as we get closer to the event.

TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 6 FINAL - FOR THE FIRST-TIME EVER: CZW PRESENTS THE "ULTRAVIOLENT DIVIDE & CONQUER DEATHMATCH" IN DELAWARE!

Imagine, if you will, you're in Delaware participating in TOD 6. You've just had the matches of your life against some of the most respected and dangerous men in deathmatch history. Somehow, someway, you're still alive. The trophy, the TOD trophy, is just a few feet away. Grab it. You win. You become part of history. There's only one problem. The 10 other wrestlers who have already lost are all trying to kill you. They came to Delaware and all they got was a lousy sunburn. And you're opponent, by the way, wants to render you unconscious. Such are the rules of the TOD 6 FINAL as CZW Presents the "ULTRAVIOLENT DIVIDE & CONQUER" DEATHMATCH.

The TOD 6 trophy will be held in-place at a rather difficult location...Surrounding the ringside area will be the wrestlers who did not make the finals. All looking for that one shot to create that big "TOD Memory" that deathmatch fans will remember forever...2 wrestlers. 10 other obstacles. 1 TOD trophy...Go get it. And become a part of Deathmatch History...Just one more thing. Before you get to the outside. There will just happen to be 200 tubes to get through, use, and avoid. These things have dramatically changed and shortened careers before. Enter TOD, and you'll be no different. Beware.

TOURNAMENT OF DEATH FIELD GROWS

Based on the events of CZW "Restore the Order", we do know the following:

First-Round Match-Ups:

CZW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Scotty Vortekz Vs. "The Future of Hardcore" Nick Gage

Vortekz gets another huge CZW win in May, and has a ton of momentum heading into TOD 6. Gage, on the other hand, has been out of comission since CZW "H8". Are the wheels in motion for one of the biggest deathmatch upsets in CZW history? Can the deathmatch-savy Vortekz knock out the TOD 5 champion?

The Necro Butcher Vs. "Simply Marvelous" Mitch Ryder w/ Maven Bentley

Bullshit. The fans, locker room, and Zandig knew it. That's what the ending to Ryder & Necro's match at CZW "Out With the Old, In With the New" was. Necro, the TOD 4 Champion, returns to win another trophy against the sadistic, evil Ryder. Mitch has looked great in CZW, and with Maven behind him, will try to use his experience to sneak out a victory over one of CZW's most popular stars.

Lobo's appearence at the end of CZW "Restore the Order" makes one believe we'll see the following in action at TOD 6:

Brand-New CZW Iron Man Champion "Mr. Insanity" Toby Klein...Brand-New Ultraviolent Underground Champion Brain Damage w/ Maven Bentley...Former CZW Iron Man Champion DJ Hyde w/ Maven Bentley...Former Ultraviolent Underground Champion "The Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger

That'd be 8 stars...Who will be next?

Will Lobo, who kicked some serious a** at "Restore the Order", including doing the unthinkable and punking out Brain Damage HOCKEY STYLE, enter TOD 6 and go after the trophy he has NEVER won?

And what surprise entrants does CZW have in store? - Ed O'Mac

The final is going to be interesting, the finalists start off in the ring...but to win you have to get to the trophie which is going to be put somewhere difficult (most likely someplace high)...and to get to the trophie you have to get through all the wrestlers who didn't make it into the finale.

It's looking like it's going to be an awesome show.

I believe Ruin has been sharing his pot with Mo.

After all he did say CZW contains the best highfliers, and chain wrestlers. I'm not saying they don't have good ones but.... Matt Cross, Jack Evans, Matt Sydal, Delirious, Briscoes, McGuiness, Hero, El Generico, Kevin Steen, Bryan Danielson, Davey Richards, and Jimmy Rave would be considered the best highflying and the best chain wrestling compared to CZW. cool

Plus not to mention the NOAH and Dragon Gate stars they get of, CIMA, Dragon Kid, KENTA, Morishima, Marifuji, etc.

Although CZW is good don't get me wrong. sweatdrop

Bryan Danielson=Over-rated

Jack Evans is amazing yes, but he's a one trick pony. If he's facing a ground and pound guy...the match is dull as hell.

Chris Hero=CZW

Matt Sydal and Delirious-I'll give you those two..although I think Delirious may be working his way to CZW. He's already a top dog in CHIKARA and other K5 circut promotions...just a matter of time until he breaks into the CZW scene.

and if you read my post you would have seen the US of A thing-a-ma-bob because when push comes to shove NOAH has the best highfliers in the world.

CZW>ROH anyday though, the product is just different. CZW is willing to take more risks then ROH is. So their highfliers pull off more insane stunts on a regular basis...for my money I like more bang for the buck.

I keep up with both companies, but CZW consistently entertains me more than ROH every time.
