Shade tossed her long mane letting out a low rumbling growl from deep within her gut. The snows, frost, and just plain death like state of winter had melted away to revive the life of spring and she hated it. The happy chirp of birds grated on Shade’s nerves and she let out yet another growl scaring a few away at least.
It seemed that love was in the air everywhere she turned bringing bitter bile up to her mouth and all the Kalona could do was just snarl and plot the day when her race would finally rise out of the shadows to take their laces at the top.
Shade paused at the crest of a hill folding her almost completely translucent wins down on her back till they disappeared against her ebony coat. If it wasn’t for the two curved horns adorning the back of her head and her long spaded tail none would have been able to tell she was a kalona, not form a distance at least.

Marie galloped into a forest, slowing down as she almost hit a maple tree. "Oh Shi-!" She said as she dodged another huge tree trunk. She was still rather sluggish , but still graceful.
She then began to trot slower as the trees got thicker.

Shade’s ears flicked towards the sound of another’s voice and she sneered. Toying with those that had no clue what a kalona was could prove interesting at times so she figured this would be a welcome aversion to the lovey dovey state the earth seemed to be in.
Turning instantly towards the sounds she made her way through the trees glowing two toned eyes narrowed almost to slits.
