The grounds of Motar Gur are wide and open. There are two gardens, one near the entrance and one outside the east wing of the castle. The training grounds are outside the west wing. These include a combat zone, a flight training ring, and a training ring for those learning to ride horses. The Mystic woods stretch from halfway through the grounds, all the way to the edge of the property and beyond. A small stream wanders lazily through. The rest of the grounds are miles of open fields.

Emily walked into the stables and tacked up her horse, telling Selina that she would come back soon and they could train. Cheyenne, her horse, pranced out of his stall. Emily quickly mounted and walked her horse out of the stables. She rode him across the grounds to the training ring, and took him over a series of jumps. After that, she decided to go on a trail through the woods. She followed the stream into the woods. Eventually, they came to a clearing where the stream turned into a pond, waterfall included. I wonder if I'm still in the grounds, she wondered to her self. With a quick transport spell, she got lunch and sat down to eat. After lunch, she went for a swim, marveling at how clear the water was. She dived down, trying to reach the bottom, but, surprisingly, couldn't. She realized that it was getting late and decided to head back, so she could get in a bit of practice with Selina.

As she tacked up Selina, she noticed that no one was around. She finished quickly. She looked around, then just rose straight up. She flew sideways and dropped a few inches into her saddle, now on Selina. Selina crouched, and jumped into the air, through the open dome above, used for easy exits of riders and dragons. They flew the short distance to the training ring, and started on a course that tested both strength and flexibility, endurance and judgment. They then cooled off with a long flight cross-country style.

As they flew along the river bed, they spotted a lake down below. Selina dove down and skimmed alon the lake's surface, before touching down into the water. Emily slid down into the cool inviting water. It was clear as glass. Under her, she saw a beauty unmatched in her eyes. She had always loved the water. Now, she could see forests of seaweed and kelp. Mountains of rock and shells were scattered along the bottom of the deep lake. She quickly dove under and swam with schools of fish. She felt at peace down there, and wished she could stay forever. She came back to herself and swam up. Man, I've been down there long, yet I'm not out of breath... strange. she thought. She remounted Selina as she realized that it was really late. Hopefully we don't miss dinner she thought to Selina. definately, Selina agreed. They flew off towards the castle. The lights in the great hall were on, meaning that dinner was either done or already beginning.

After creative writing, Em tacked up Cheyenne and Selina, telling Selina to wait for her at the training ring. She mounted Cheyenne and they took off in a gallop from a standing start. She spent the afternoon working on battle simulations where she had to switch from Selina to Cheyenne and vice versa. The training ranged over miles, and by the time they were finished, they were all exhausted. Emily doubted that they would reach the castle in time to get inside before the doors were shut and locked, so she put Cheyenne and Selina in the stables and slept under one of Selina's wings. In the morning, she was stif and hungry, and still tired. Em fed Selina and Cheyenne and ran to the castle, where she promptly ate two eggs, two bagels, a sausage patty, and three strips of bacon, all magically low fat.
(( I don't like fatty bacon. I peel off the fat if it is.))
