Claws thudding down softly on the higher ground of the small slope. locking his front legs, squaring his shoulders and holding his head higher. he breathed in the comfortable bitter air of the swamp, his chest slowly inflating to give him a larger appearance then he already had.
he was feeling particularly prideful of being a Coffee today.

scanning the trees ahead of him. his eyes now fully used to the kind of light this aria had. everything looked as normal and quest as ever, the molassas puddle bubbling thickly, and the trees hauntingly still. but it did not take Equis long to spot something different about this scenery, off in the distance, mostly blocked by trees, was a blue figure. obviously a Numa.

with a Smirk he decided to check it out, jumping heavily off the mound he made his way fearlessly towards the figure.
coming up upon his back, but keeping his distance as to avoid any startled attacks if they should come his way. Equis cleared his throat, and stood tall.

a Deep chuckled went before Equis, as he willingly drew himself out so the other Coffee could see.
"Pardon for the startle" he said. lowering himself into a sit once he was was fully in the Numa's view.

from this position, Equis was able to see the other Coffee fully for the first time. and he had to admit, what he was was rather surprising... and even a bit intimidating. and the location this Numa had Scars, it looked like it must have been very painful. Equis would have to watch his step.
"I was out for my morning stroll and just happened upon you"
his eyes caught the sight of the large fish... or what was a fish
"nice catch" he said casually, but honestly

he might be bigger, but it didn't mean that Equis could automatically crush anyone he wanted. having no idea how strong this Numa was, but judging by the scars, he was still not something to be messed with,
furrowing his brow he got back up, taking a couple of steps backwards to give the Coffee space.
"skipped your morning coffee or something buddy?" he asked, in an indignant voice.
though most Coffee acted like this. it was almost as casual as saying "hello" in his mind, such a great species they where.

"woohh, ok Bro" Equis blinked, raising his claws up submitting.
"I'll keep my distance." he even took a step back, hoping this would calm the other coffee's nerves... maybe.
"you running from something? you're acting like the worlds out to get you"

"And clearly you live by those words" Equis grunted.
He had heard of obsessively paranoid individuals, but this was the first time he had personally encountered one. Though clearly this coffee had reason to be, someone had to have given him those scars, oh what Equis would have given to hear that story.
Now however he just had to silently debate with himself... mess with this Coffee a bit, or try and make him feel comfortable... and then of course there was the option to just walk away and forget all about Mr. Jumpy. But really, where was the fun in that?

Lifting a claw up to his chest, wrapping his fingers around the glow stick dangling from it, pulling just enough to feel the stings pressing in on the back of his neck.
His eyes drifting from what was left of the fish, to the Coffee, eyeing his scars, jewelry, and fur color, making sure not to let his gaze longer on one spot for to long.
"So then I'm guessing you don't trust much of anyone do you."
It was more of a statement then a question, since Equis pretty much knew the answer anyway. He just needed to buy time while he figures out what he wanted to do.

"well to be honest. I just wanted to talk to another Coffee, seeing as those disgusting Candy seem to always find and bother me... buut I guess bugging you would be more amusing at this point" he laughed. lowering his own head just in case the Numa really did want to attack him.
"so, now what brother? you just wanna smack each other around and get it out of you? or how do you deal with those oh so high tense situations of talking to strangers?" he said, his deep voice holding a strong tone of playful sarcasm.

"oh well thats a good boy. you listen to mommy then" he cooed, grinning and nodding approvingly.
rounding his shoulders to make himself look bigger trying to intimidate the Numa's attack... no really expecting it to work, but it was worth a try.
"thats smart to, you never know whats going on in someones head. I mean, take me for instance, I could snap your back if i was in the right mood, so why risk huh?"
he let out a laugh. "ohh boy. you're lucky i hold those hostilities towards Candies... and zombies..."
