Several people have made the discovery that our mysterious new [NPC] lab guy
looks identicle to the unused Xiao-Fahn character from a Gaia convention.
From what I've gathered he was an [NPC] that was going to be used in the
upcoming Battle system as the shopkeeper of the Weapon shop.
So the real question now is if Xiao-Fahn really is Lab guy
or did the admins just not want to waste an [NPC] and decided to make him a completly different character.

I think they just rehashed him, so not to waste the design. they probably had no more use for him it they are in fact, not making weapons for the Battle System.

First off: I didn't even realizing that there would already be a spot for a weapons shop on the world map, until you blew it up. <--- I fail.
Anyways, back to what's relevant. I'm sort of surprised the sig-lab guy design is the same as the battle system guy. While it would be awesome to see him having two personalities, it doesn't strike me as very likely, but I honestly can't back that up with any concrete reasoning other than a hunch. But then again, there are a lot of NPC designs related at those cons, which haven't been seen yet. Maybe continued issues or re-designs of the battle system caused an exclusion of our sig-lab guy from the concept. So they packaged him off to C-corp. Dun dun da!

there is a resemblance between the two. it could be a re-use of the basic design or Xiao-Fahn has a twin brother in G-corp, which could be very interesting. ninja
