First off, can everyone get the monoko hat for free? If not, I can get you one. Anyone have any idea why Gaia's suddnely gone downhill and become a heartless corporation the last 6 months or so? With practically non-existant plot and events? Who's Craig? What do you think of the descision to accept the latest sponsorship? I started a petition here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26894593Feedback on it and signings please? biggrin I'm also thinking of starting another one for the admins to sort out the current problems, and to start making Gaia more community focused again, and for more mods! Since the current number doesnt seem to have gone up for years, while the user count has, and it's clearly not enough. Feedback on that too? And stuff. EDIT: In a petitiony mood. Started another one, hopefully it'll make a difference; http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26983073

What do you mean? Oh I see...well, hmmmm. I agree with you and I will sign your petition. I am on mostly every day and every night. How does one become a moderator?
Maybe they're too busy with making money. Assholes.

Ranty Naru What do you mean? Oh I see...well, hmmmm. I agree with you and I will sign your petition. I am on mostly every day and every night. How does one become a moderator? Maybe they're too busy with making money. Assholes. Thank you. And mods need to be someone really reliable, so I guess you would have to get to know the admins and stuff first, or be recommended to them. And yeah. Gaia never used to be about that. Obviously they needed enough to survive. But things like ads everywhere, sponsorships that exclude, that never used to happen.

I know. I'd rather be a moderator so I can help clean up the crap and suggest things to Lanzer and have him actually listen. I understand that maybe they need the money to keep gaia alive and everything but alot of other free sites are kept running through advertisements and general user support *by being there, not donating, maybe* and stuff. I know alot of parents are worried that thier kids are wasting hard earned money and thats why they changed it from Donation Items to Monthly Collectables.
I really don't get how it's gotten so far away from the community to sponsering tv shows and movies. D:

And yeah, donating and clicking ads is what most sites need. Sponsoring is a nice touch like the mimzy one, but this latest one is not neccessary. Me either. It's sad. The sponsering isnt the problem in and of itself though. It's the lack of everything else, including an apology!

The mods are almost as disconnected from the admins as the users, unfortunately. sweatdrop

I know, Telor. xp Maybe more would change it.
Simple answer, I got bored. Will probably abandon the second one for now.
And I like Lanzer a lot for doing things like that, he's given us apologies when no-one else has, not tried to cover things up and so on, but why isn't he allowed to make those into real announcements? So that everyone can see them, not just those in the know. (I for one constantly lose these sort of links)

Well the recent sellout quest seems to be more in-line with what most Gaia users would actually enjoy, and makes them aware of a product they may actually want to buy.
And, well, the Mimzy quest made me aware of the movie's existence and made it not seem like it was really stupid, which it probably actually was.
I'm not really against the advertising, although it does make me vaguely sad. Soon it won't be the users who are considered the customers of Gaia, it'll be the advertisers.

Just wait. It'll get worse.
The cinema thing looks like a segway into a advertisement whirlwind. Before the moive they'd show advertisements... just like real movie theaters. I dunno. Give advertisement peoples enough time and they'll come up with all kinds of ways to do things. Pepsi and cola t-shirts... I see it coming.

Telor Well the recent sellout quest seems to be more in-line with what most Gaia users would actually enjoy, and makes them aware of a product they may actually want to buy. I'm not really against the advertising, although it does make me vaguely sad. Soon it won't be the users who are considered the customers of Gaia, it'll be the advertisers. I like the first two quests they've done! The new user one does introduce you to Gaia quite well, and gives you rubbish stuff, but it's a start. The mimzy quest was great, I really enjoyed it, and everyone could do it. I like the new item, I like the quest... what I truly hate about it, is that Gaia once again is ignoring almost everyone outside of America. I've heard several people say, myself included, it's like they don't want us here. people say they had no choice to accept it? Yes they did. The monthly collectibles dont cover development, according to Lanzer. Which means it covers everything else; we'd be fine waiting for a sponser that would let everyone do the quest. And I agree KSTU.
