Ok so taking out the fact that Rem killed L... if L didn't die by the death note how do you think he would have died. I got bored last night and while watching Death Note figure this out...
In the ep. where Misa meets L, his life span is
75, 231, 362 = Seconds, which is
1, 253, 856.03 = Minutes, which is
10897.06 = Hours, which is
870.73 = Days, which is
2.38 = Years
Which technacly means that L only has
2 Years 2 Months 15 Days 1 Hour and 13 Min left to live
But I believe that in an earlier episode that it counts up to natural death... not murder or death by the death note.... so if he only had that long to live...
If I'm wrong on this and there is another explination then yeah.... feel free to splain!

I wouldn't be surprized if that was how long he'd live untill his natural death. Do you see how unhealthy he is? 0__o The guy's diet consists of anything injected with sugar, he rarely goes outside, he's constantly staring at monitors or televisions, he has massave bags under his eyes, he hardley sleeps and he wears no socks (I don't know how that last one would be considered unhealthy. Maybe he would die from cold feet xd )

I figured maybe he has some kind of desease or illness... that's why he suddenly isn't afraid to show his face around people cause he knows he's going to die anyway....
Or maybe he was going to die of type 2 diabeties! xd

I don't know, but that white complexion, coupled with the dark circles under the eyes...has the appearence of a person dying of Leukemia (poooor LLLLL!!! emo If that was the case...I'm glad he died of the notebook...before the pain came...)

Dude, you could easily be addicted to sugar as you can with drugs. They have the same effects (exept the part of getting high...unless you count getting sugar high...wait that's totaly different, nvm) I doubt he put anything in his candy, he's just addicted to that glucose. xd

I mean originally.... before the task force.... That's what I meant by show his face "Show his face to the task force."

There's a really old thread somewhere about a disease where the symptoms practically describe L perfectly. I'll try and find it. EDIT: Found it! biggrin Naota_the_Fox_Demon You know what...I found out something interesting today. I think L has Hyperthyroidism (under active thyroid) He shows all the symptoms of strand of this...something called "graves disease" <- ironic, huh ^_^;; Google graves disease it in images and you'll be suprised. The symptoms are: increased appitite (well we all know that), protruding eyes, physical and mental hyperactiveity, weight loss, muscle wasting, rapid heart rate (well he died of a heart attack >_>), heat intollerance. Well maybe not all of these things...but SOME and just look at the eyes of the people who have this disease....very L-esqe....anyways, I found that out today ^_^;;

Well if what you say is right then Near didn't have much to live either. The numbers just don't come out right. Unless I'm doing something wrong like the idiot I am. As for the post above mine, you are absolutely correct. smile
