Gaiacinta: *Shakes her head.* Ugh. Yeah. *Trots away before more hormones kick in. A UniKalona- being pregnant can possibly... Only take so little. [Maximum. :3]

Lloyd: No. It is just that you smiled. I am not certain why. *His head had tilt, his ears tilting down and back up quickly, overhearing something.* Aye?

Yes. Isn't 'Aye,' something you say when you have nothing better to say?

Lloyd: Okay. I just translated everything you just said, Two legger. "Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye, aye."

Suuuure. I know you're eaves dropping and taking in attention. I can smell the arrogance.

Lloyd: What was that?

Gaiacinta: AYE!

Ivory_Feld
Paris: *nudges Maui* Go talk to him, you need social skills child!

Maui: O.O Nooo! I h-have social skills! I just don't want to bother the guy. He um, I was, staring. I'm sure he'll think I'm rude now.

Paris: Paranoid filly!

Oathkeeper: Now now, no name calling is nessisary...

Lady Twitch
Lloyd twitched his nose, still listening. Most likely ignoring the all too familiar noises around. Including the shameless UniKalona. Paranoid Filly sounded all too much like a target. Not even sure if he should take in a poke at this. Maybe. Maybe not. Rather curious by now, her turned to face Maui. "Aren't you going to just say, 'Hello,' to me?"

Ivory_Feld
Going swiftly hotpink in the cheeks Maui bobbed her head in an appologetic bow. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I forgot talking about things behind someone's b-back is rude too!" she whimpered. Regaining some of her repose she looked him in the eyes and smiled blisteringly. "Hello...sir! I'm Maui. May I ask your name?" she replied. Paris rolled her eyes and stood by, just flicking her tail from time to time. As Oathkeeper behind her seemed to look poised, ready for any trouble the stranger might cause.

Lady Twitch
Looked to Paris, and back to Maui. "No. It's actually polite in society, to say things behind one's back, so they don't have to hear it. 'Hear,' that is." A short held laugh had escaped his sober tone. The look of her mother looked more like the kind to taunt their daughters, but still something else to it. Her lifted his glance, still not looking at Maui for the moment. A twitch came to the side of his lips that gave a half smile. "Seems you're a youngin. Looks like you're well guarded." Her had turned, his side to them, brows furrowed to his lashes as if watching for their response. Had they noticed his taunting towards the maturity of the white and pink youth.

Daftly, Maui had no idea as to what the clothed stallion was alluding too. She did however, have noticed the stranger's glance to Oathkeeper and she hung her head slightly. "Um, Oath, really...you don't have to look so...intimidating. I'll be fine. I can handle myself on my own" the nearly whispered. Respecting the mare's wishes, Oathkeeper nodded. "If you need anything just hollar, so sorry to seem like such a bodyguard!" he smiled goofily, then began to trot briskly off, whistling to himself. Paris snickered at Lloyd's comment. "That's just Oathkeeper, he's always over protective" she explained, watching the rather aloof seeming stallion trot off into the distance. She let out a slight chuckle. Paris of coarse had caught onto the stranger's taunting and quickly proceeded to fuel the fire, so to speak. "Well once more, sir" Paris began, mocking the ever-polite tone of her daughter, "I don't think we caught your name."

He didn't seem to take much mind to Oathkeeper. Why would he? The male did not seem to take any certain signs of a threat rather than a chance to embarrass Maui if he felt like it. Which most would to any youth. Pacing only a step forward, towards the two, he had spotted Paris's insisting on a name of his. "I will take a gander, that the green one is your little one." The tone was as if he was weighing things for a ballance. His eyes followed back to the one that seemed to stammer easily. "My name is Lloyd."

"Yeah, she's my offspring"Paris replied, rather blandly. It seemed quite apparent by her tone she wasn't all to thrilled with having a daughter. Upon mention of the stranger's name, Maui ceased the opportunity to swing back into the usual kind perky-ness. "Pleased to meet you Lloyd!" she practically chirped, nearly no longer showing signs of shyness or imbarassment. But trust me, they'd return quick on many an occassion.

Lloyd was almost curious about how Paris had said it. A grimace hid in a much more sober glance. The pale elder one of two, didn't seem pleasant about her daughter's company; and then something came to him. A half smile had shown onto his face "I will take it that she is still too young to be off on her own, as you still stand at her guard." He gave a shrug from his shoulders. It was almost a taunt- towards both, while he looked to Maui, studying her as if she was still a very young kind. "Well, at least you have some manner, young Maui, I will grant that."

"She can come and go as she pleases, I'm not standing here to guard her. In fact..." Paris paused, "I don't really quite know why I'm standing here at all. Oathkeeper, Maui and I kind of just stick together around crowded places anyhow, but now that we're more secluded...I guess I could be on my way." She made off slowly, humming something. Seemingly she enjoyed the thought of leaving her daughter to fend with this Lloyd fellow. Maui turned her head quickly between her retreating mother and Lloyd, seemingly slightly flustered again. "I oh...um" she mumbled, trying to keep her cool. Slowly but surely she shook it off she smiled back at Lloyd, trying not to make a fool of herself. "I'm not all that young" she proclaimed, feeling rather silly. "Most likely younger than you, so I can't really argue that or anything" she sweatdropped. "I um...I'm probumly boring you! Is there something you...want to do? Something you like to do? I can at least offer to be more amusing than this thusfar" Maui proclaimed.

Lloyd laughed heartedly, to the girl's shy reaction. She was shy, but he figured that she would say that. He then paced, till he was at her side, but more-so facing her. "Aye. Between you and me, parental guidance is silly for one your age. Sure they are there to protect, but." His eye went towards where Paris had left. "More of a burden." He would then walk forward. "I decided. We will just walk. Your mothers eyes don't show she'd care if you went alone in the woods with big bad me." A brow raised, as he had gave a smirk. "Besides, you can tell me more about yourself, and your family along the way to an old two-legger cemetary. Lots of trees there." He remembered the place. Fairly pretty in the morning.

Maui nodded, slowly, not too sure if he was joking or actually alluding to something rather threatening. She at 1st had figured if she needed to leave, she could simply fly away on her wings. Then she realized, Lloyd too had wings. However, she didn't really feel all that threatened, so she cast aside any of her previous worries. Returning to her usual perky self, she smiled broadly. To answer Lloyd's 1st statement Maui sighed, "She...long story made short. My mom's not the maternal type. Just kinda had me and my brother and puts up with it." However, oddly the mare didn't sound all to hurt about it. "Anyhow, sounds intruiging, I'd be glad to be of company" she replied, "I believe all you need to do is lead the way..."

Lloyd had grinned. He pondered actually if she felt threatened. He wasn't exactly that dangerous. A bit older, but not completely one to attack with out a good reason. He lifted his glance. It was a long walk, but he shook his head. "Didn't know you had a sibling. So who might be your father, since that other one might not be it..." He was uncertain on that case. He had lead her towards a dark woods area that was filled with many bushes and timber. The path had minimal grass from the warn out dirt that had been walked upon many times. Never even paying attention to who did, or who was there. It was a solitude place at least. "Is your sibling much like you? The father? The mother?" He had a distaste for non-maternal behavior, even if he wasn't a faithful mannered being, who could not hope for the best for the off spring of others from day one. The leap into the world was pretty massive, so he was curious how she was really raised. They had a bit to go till they were there.

Maui launched into full explination, in order to keep up with Lloyd's near rampant questions. "Well, my brother is Ronen, I barely know him. Since we were seperated quite young. So...I don't know who he takes after. I don't really know my dad all that well either, but I assume he was nice cause---I'm obviously nothing like my mother!" she laughed, "I've only been told he was holiday patterned, that the great spirits gave him holly decored wings, in which the wing gene was obviously passed onto me. My brother looks more like him, so I can guess what he looked like. 'Cept...my brother doesn't have wings like I." She paused an examined the trail as she followed alongside the tall platinum haired stallion. "As I've said, my mother's nothing like me. She just kinda had my brother and I and couldn't care less. She's quite immature, rather vain and snobbish and has huge hankering for dark or villian-type stallions. Strangely, my father was neither...but anyhow, I kinda just was born different from her. I have Oath to thank for my manners, even though he says I worry to an excess about always being polite. Oath's like a surrogate father to me and I'm thankful, he's a really nice, protective and fun-loving stallion" she finished. Taking in the surroundings once more she glanced at Lloyd, "What about you? Where are you from? What's your history? What kind of things do you do? What places you like?"she inquired back softly.

Everything said, he thought was somewhat admirable. "Holiday pattern, aye?" He had echoed once she said it at first. It wasn't to be rude, but she was far differently behaved than her mother, he did agree, while the words would trail into a story of their own, while they walked. He stopped at a dark spot, where a brush of thin leafy bushes of purple and pink flowers would tilt and lift up towards the shade. That's where they grew. Above a regular unmarked cemetery. A regular two-legger belief that when a body was buried under a plant, the spirit shared a bond with it. He mainly stopped there, once he heard her ask about him. "... I am just myself. Not a whole lot. I try my best at living. Though, I have to agree with your somewhat like father." He would grin, and head forward, to the side of the bushes. Not to step on any. He preferred the flowers untouched. Only a few strands of light would hit that one patch, which was perhaps why it was a burial. "You should be firm about yourself." His gold eyes then went to her. "It's good you have a caring adoptive parent. It's best to have a bit of hope..." He then looked to the flowers. "Don't be too alarmed by me, dear. Even I need a bit of paint to go a long way as where I am." It was a metaphor. It was a small bit of paint that was ever needed, just like hope, or value. Something. "So I look forward to seeing your awkward emotions settle enough for you to handle yourself even well with out Oath Keeper having to remind you. If it makes you feel any better, I think you are much prettier than your mother." He said the last sentence rather silently, but ended with a chuckle.

Maui who always listened so intently to another's words did indeed catch Lloyd's last phrase. She stopped too, enjoying a good look around, before replying "Thank you" in an extreemly soft and gentle tone. She couldn't meet his glance at that very moment since she was sure she'd tear up. Maui wasn't used to compliments at all. It touched her. "I always...carry hope. There are...always better things lying just ahead. Fate must be met half way" she exclaimed, slowly and maturely, seeming quite sure of herself in her speach. "I think however...we weren't meant to be alone. Otherwise, solitude wouldn't make one feel hurt or lonely. Unless---you really like solitute, of coarse" she continued. She wasn't too sure on where she was going in her talking, but she spoke anyhow, straight from the heart. "You're handsome too" she added, pure honesty and innocence pouring from her. "Mares must...hang all over you" she chuckled back lightly.

Lloud almost grimaced. I kind of disagreed. "Fate is to be met fully for if it happens it doesn't 'kind of' happen." His wings lifted but flattened as to brush some feathers to a more suitable covering over his back. Both brows raised. Why would a female hang over him? He wasn't the most loyal of all creatures. He could be, but only to what he wanted the most, which was not a material, or social thing. He didn't reply for a short while, thinking about it. "If there was ever a girl in the world for me, it would be my daughter. Not in a wrongful manner, but something to watch over, and make sure she gets the best. Always." He had thought about how Maui was raised not completely by her original parents, but much soulfully by Oath. "Then one day when the time comes for her to walk on air and fall in love, I may one day meet her mate, and..." With a grin, he thought about Oath. "Make the poor guy uncomfortable for a while."
PostPosted: Fri May 11, 2007 7:58 pm

"Well, destiny then...we can't forcibly meet special people. I believe we are given chances and its our job to do what we will with them. Fate meets you halfway" she said again, trying to better explain what she truely ment. Dropping the subject she laughed at the stallions comment about a daughter. "So true, I think even I'd make them feel awkward too!" she laughed, "I'm gonna be a more mature parent and mother to my future little one's than my mother ever was to me. Thats for sure" she stated boldly, adding in a serious nod then beaming once more at Lloyd. "You'll be a good father."

"I can't promise anything."

Lloyd said this as he was caught off guard, biting onto his inner cheek to keep from blushing. "Like anyone, we can only hope for the best. Fate may weave, but it also crosses and parts, other wise the bonds would be too tight and we'd know everything and anything." With a soft laugh, he looked down at a flower. He was thinking about the dead. Did they know their fate? We all know where we may go. All those high and mighty, still understand the circle that may follow. "And what fun is that?" A smile hid under his pale silver locks. He was trying to keep from sounding too serious. A sigh escaped, while he had pondered on things. A long silence, yet he didn't mind.

Maybe the dead didn't either. He lifted his head, and brushed his muzzle over her hair messing it up, but scooting back just as soon. [Horse noogie. xP] It was sudden but he smirked. "You'll do nicely, kid."
