(( Please do not post in this thread unless you own a Soquili that descends from the Ardia/Sheridan line. This RP will be started between Shariea, Hatter and I and we'll be inviting everyone else in once we're ready to do so. Thank you! )) It was a beautiful day to be out away from the camp. Once she'd recovered from giving birth and the foals had emerged from their baskets, Atsila had given Nuka a nudge insisting that they take their family for an outing... More importantly, she insisted that they wander towards the plains where there was more of a chance that they'd run into her mother. Afterall, she'd told him that he had to meet her... And she wanted her children to know their grandmother as well. "C'mon... Your Dah's bein' a slowpoke." Kizuka trotted alongside her mother, for the most part, drifting behind from time to time to prance beside her father. She didn't think that Da was being slow. He was just making sure that Wadi didn't fall behind... Or skitter off. "C'mooooon, Wadi and Da! Hold up, Momma!" She dashed between the two of them again.

Nuka had been more than happy to get away from the camp for a while. Atsila was happier when she could run around so out here he could keep an eye on her and the foals. "I am not being slow. I'm being Dad." He shook his head and nudged his son ans the colt stop to stare at a weed. He really had no idea where the foal had gotten that skittish from. It defiantly wasn't his mother and even he hadn't been that jumpy when he was that age. He looked up to his father and then noticed his sister running around. He was being slow again. Shaking his head Wadi trotted a little faster. At least they hadn't run into anyone else yet or he probably would have jumped out of his molted hide. "I'm coming..."

The gentle breeze danced through the air and caught the grasses sending them bending and swaying in the timeless rhythem. Kitara was quietly grazing, chewing on the delightful spring grasses. Sweet as honey and cool as a crystal glacier. Her short tail flicked about her hind quarters keeping the flies at bay.
Her mind was wandering, never settling on one thing too long before whisking off to another idea or memory. Voices slowly began to reach her, carried on the breeze. For awhile she paid them no mind, lost in her own world. At last she lifted her head and noticed the four figures in the distance, two large and two small.. Just whom was her company in the feilds today?

The breeze carried more than voices. As it shifted directions it carried a scent; a familiar sent that brought a smile to her face as she took off in its direction without warning. She caught sight of the figure that the scent belonged to soon after. "Momma!"
"So... Bein' a Dah means you've gotta be slow?" Her brow furrowed slightly as she looked up at her father before turning back to see that... Her mother had taken off. "MOMMA WAIT UP!!" She turned and bolted too, racing clumsily after her mother. She still hadn't exactly gotten the feel for these legs yet. Stupid legs. They should listen to her.

He had been about to inform both his mate and his daughter that being Dad meant that he had to stay behind everyone to make sure they were alright and where he could see them when Atsila took off. He could see her racing toward another soquili and almost stopped at the thought of actually meeting her mother. Shaking his head as Kizuka too off after her he nudged Wadi and picked up his pace into a trot. "Come on kiddo"
His eyes widened as both his mother and sister took off and would have scrambled back a few steps had his father's nose not gotten in the way. "Where they going?" Actually that wasn't the right question since he could see where he just didn't get why Mama had gone running off like that.

Chocolate brown ears flicked forward as the voice drifted towards her on the wind. A broad smile crossed the mares face as she watched her daughter break free of the others and start running in her direction. It was then she realised who the smaller shapes where. She was a grandmother.
Her white hoof pawed at the ground for a moment before a gleeful whinny escaped her and she took off across the feild to meet with her daughter. "Astila!" She chuckled as she got closer to her.
Two figures in the distance seemed slow to reacte but she knew they too would arrive over here in time. This must be Astila's beau.. and another healthy foal. Oh she was proud, her daughter had done well and she was more than happy to see her..and her foals. "ahh.. has it really been that long? Seems only yesterday that you told me you where with child." She said as she pranced to her a stop before her daughter.
Affectionatly she bent her neck to touch her muzzle to her speckled daughter. For a moment she wondered if her boys had gotten into as much trouble and if she was a grand dame twice over.
Blinking her amber eyes her expression softend. "And who is this?" She inclined her head to the little filly whom had followed her mother so bravely across the plains.

She danced around for a moment, stretching out her neck so that she could touch her nose to her mother's in return. "You were alot easier t'find than Ah thought you'd be." She grinned, turning her head as her daughter caught up with her. Her little one was just as fast as she had been at that age... Her father would be proud of that.
"This is Kizuka." She leaned down, gently nudging her daughter, trying not to laugh as the filly gave a little wiggle. "Kizuka, this is my Mama; your Gran'mama."
Her eyes went wide as she looked up to the other mare, gazing at her for a good, long time before looking at her mother. When her mama smiled and gave her a little nod she turned, grinning brightly. "Hi!" Then, uncertain as to what she should say next for the first time in her life, she fell completely silent.
That lasted no longer than several seconds. She turned, racing away from her mother and this new 'grandmother' so that she could bump into her father's legs. "C'mon, Dah! Gotta move faster. There's a Gran'mama up there! "

He was more keeping an eye on Wadi now than being slow. THe little colt seemed nervous of the other mare and he was afraid that his son would take off running if anything so much as twitched wrong.
As Kizuka bumped into him he leaned his head down and touched his nose to her side. "How about you make sure your brother gets going more than worrying about me. I think he needs you around to make sure it's alright" For some reason Wadi was a little less frightened when his sister was okay with things. Probably some sibling thing.
He was starring at the other mare, the one that had gotten called Gran, like she was a ghost. Shaking his head as his sister dashed back over he almost hid behind Nuka's legs.
"She's Gran? What's that mean?" He wasn't sure that was a good thing no matter what Mama and Kizuka said.

Kitara's heart swelled with pride as she looked at her daughter and the fine young filly at her side. "Hello Kizuka." she said with a big grin, laughing as the filly suddenly turned tail to go fetch her brother at father.
The colt seemed very scared, and though kitara found this very cute she woundered what part of the family that had come from? A laugh escaped her all of the sudden as she cast a side long glance at her daughter. "does you boy like beetles?" she asked him, a question that seemed out of the blue, but for kitara it held great importance.
Her brother Takoda had been the only one she had known to be skiddish, and that was over beetles. He hated the meer mention of them, something she had exploited many times in her foalhood. "Or does he get that nervous nature from his father?" She asked her daughter as the trio approched.
"It's lovely to meet you all, when you mother told me she was going to have foals all I could do I wait to meet you. I'm your grandmother... your mothers' Mother." She chuckled. "Gran mearly means... older. " basicly thats the way she took it anyway.. and now she wasnt quite so sure she liked the term. She wasnt that Old!
"We're family. " She said with a chuckle as she leaned her long neck down to look at the little colt as he approched. "And you... Look like your ma. " She blinked a little bit, was that... that patch of fur on his side.. was that orange with white.. like.. like Remy?
"And... like your gran' Da'....."

"Mama..." She turned to look at the other mare for a moment, taking a deep breath before stepping back. "This is Wadi, my son... And the stallion is Nuka. You remember me telling you about Nuka." She smiled almost sheepishly.
Her brow furrowed slightly as she looked up at her father, trying to figure out whether or not she actually wanted to listen to him. There were some times when Mama didn't listen to Dah but she figured that it wasn't always a bad thing to pay attention to him. She nodded, puffing up her chest proudly before giving her brother a gentle nudge. "C'mon, Wadi."
Once they were back with their Mama and this new 'Gran'mama' she was all smiles once more. "What's a Gran'dah?"

Following after his foals he stopped beside Kitara and bowed his head slightly to her mother. She'd said he'd have to meet her eventually and thankfully she seemed happy to see them rather than what he'd feared might happen.
"Wadi ..... doesn't really like anything." He chuckled softly. "Defiantly not from my side of the family. No one i know would be scared of their own shadow." He'd always suspected it was from Atsila's family but he'd never been able to confirm it since she'd disavow any claims he made.
He followed after his sister a little faster than he had before. At least if she was in front he'd be able to get away faster without tripping over her. Once close enough he ducked around his mother's legs and peered up at the one that was Gran.
"'lo" He had no idea who this GranDa was or why he looked like him. He'd always thought he looked like Ma.

A gran Da' would be the father of your mother.. In this case a Stallion Named Remy. Blue black as night itself with eyes as burning embers and a mane of fire... great stallion he is." she said whistfully.
With a glance at both the foals she chuckled. "Tis where you my dear have gotten your red hoof, and you, your orange and white on your bum there dear... funny how you carry a peice of your family around though you havent met him." Funny how Remy's genes where so strong they would pass down for generations.
She Looked at both the foals, the strong filly and the sky colt. "Not from our side either" She said looking up at Nuka, the mare was glad to finally meet him. "And you must be Nuka... I had heard..." she cast a side long glance at her daughter. "Hmm.. Little about you." she said with a smirk.
"The only one it could come from I suppose would be My mother, though she was never fearful she had her own...space. Which she doesnt like to leave often.. and my Brother, whom is fearful of beetles. Never the less, im sure he'll grow out of it and become braver over time. "
"You're a fine young colt Wadi. " she said with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Astila.. You have done wonderfully, Nice happy family Strong healthy children... and a stallion still by your side. I'm proud of you."
Though.. Kitara didnt have a stallion still by her side as a mate, she didnt regret at all what had happened between her and remy.

She leaned her head down, giving her son a gentle nuzzle to reassure him that yes, everything was alright and no, her mother wasn't going to sprout fangs and devour him. "Ah wanted them t'meet you b'fore draggin' 'em all t'meet Dah. Figured then Ah could tell 'im that they met you first jus' t'get to him." She nickered softly, teasingly.
As she listened to her mother talk on about her own mother and brother her brow furrowed slightly. She'd been telling Nuka that Wadi couldn't possibly take after her side of the family... Not with how bold both her mother and father had been... But this?
She smiled at her mother's next words. "Ah'm glad, Mama." She stepped forward, nuzzling the other mare's neck gently. "Ah don't think Ah could'a done this without you, Mama."
"Gots t'say more than that to a Gran'mama, Wadi." She gave him a nudge as well before turning to look up at the chocolate mare with the white hair. "Mama! Her hair's white like mine is!"

That was slightly amusing. Atsila always said it hadn't come from her side but it seemed that was indeed the case. At least he could be nice and not call her on it unless she brought it up later. "Glad to hear that it didn't come from nowhere."
He wasn't too sure about showing off the foals to Remy. He already knew that the other stallion at least didn't have as much of a problem with him as before but you never knew. Hopefully he'd be just as happy as Atsila's mother was. Maybe he could even get Wadi to not jump.
He snorted at his sister and when Ma moved he skidded back slightly more of a natural reaction than from true fear. "... GranDa .... sounds scary." He didn't like the idea of glowing eyes or fire. He was starting to think he didn't want to meet GranDa if he looked like that.

"aww Wadi he isnt scary at all, though I suppose he may look it at times. He's no different than you or I. Once you get to know him you'll most likely be glued to his side.... he seems to have taht sort of charm."
The mare sighed softly, Remy has most certainly done that to her...
"Astila... I have been meaning to take a trip back home and see my Ma and Da... and my sister and brother.. Would you and the kids want to come with me? They.. dont even know they are great Grand parents. " She chuckled softly and shook her head.
"Ah yes little one, My hair is white like yours... seems I passed something on myself did I.. My da' Has a white stripe in a thick mane of black and y Ma's hair is all black itself. So we are quite special you and I Kizuka. "
