 Victory at last.
Heartless had finally arrived to take care of the baskets, FINALLY arrived, and after chatting with her for awhile, Ariston was able to stroll away an fix himself up. His hair had been an utter mess, and after washing in a pure stream, and waiting hours for his golden locks to dry, he was gleaming perfection once again. There was nothing he loved more then making others jealous of his divine beauty.
It was all a very time consuming matter, but to Ariston it was all perfect when he was finished. Feeling as attractive as ever, the Kalona stallion marched through the plains, avoiding any clumps of dirt that would stain. The only thing he hated about spring was the wetness of the ground. He just hated when his hoofs would become a mess, such a pain to clean.
As he stood under the sun, he realized how nice it was to get away from fatherhood for a bit. He could finally radiate his usual self, and let others admire him for his utter perfection.
Yawning, he strode forward in search of others BESIDES the baskets and Heartless.

Tiffany strode along a slim bit of dry land. More recently the ground had been covered in mud, puddles, and discusting patches of long grass.
She breifly wondered why no one was here to clear her path for her...but no matter. Tiffany decided she wanted to add independence onto her list of things she was perfect at. However, it wasn't going as fabulously as she hoped. In fact, she was just about ready to give up. How in the world was she supposed to keep clean if she had to walk through the forest with out someone breaking the trees that were in her way, or get apples on the dirty, buggy trees with out someone else knocking them down?
She had just gotten back from spending many hours grooming herself. It was what consumed most of her days, keeping her white fur radiant and her blonde hair perfectly kept. But oh, it was worth it to see the faces of her inferiors shine knowing that they got the privlage of seeing her, Tiffany, the most gorgeous mare alive.

Ariston's purple eyes drifted to a lightly colored female in the distance. Her coloring.. almost matched his too well, though she was much lighter and shinier. Of course that alone made him curious, so he shifted his direction to where she was walking.
Being the Sin of Pride made him dazzle in the arts of perfection, though it seemed this female that he was approaching had her own bit of Pride herself. It This was the perfect breakaway from his corrupt and dysfunctional family life, and sometimes he needed to vent with another about current issues of beauty and such.
"Hello there," he said, calmly and smoothly. "Avoiding these hideous puddles as well?" He flicked his hair dramatically and looked at the female's beautiful green eyes. "My my, what beautiful hair you have!" Bowing to her, his eyes stayed keen on the gorgeous upkeep of a mane that she aquired. Most females these days were awful in their upkeep, so Ariston was very impressed with the mare's elegance and proportion.
It was always a delight to run into another who appreciated such manners of beauty.

Tiffany managed to catch a glympse of herself in a puddle, and didn't even notice that the stallion had aproched her. When he spoke, she jumped a bit, but was able to keep her composure.
He was quite similar to herself, with a bit more blond hair on his accual body, and a few other details. He was well groomed, perhaps almost to rival herself, but certainly not TOO close. Even the most well kept soquili couldn't come close to Tiffany. She was untouchable. At least, in her head.
"Thank you very much!" she said, letting out her most radiant smile. There was nothing she loved more then compliments. "Yes...they are absolutly disgusting. The thought of getting any on my fur..." she shuddered. "I don't even want to think about it"
She looked at him a bit closer "And your hair is...." she didn't want to be too cruel to the poor boy. It wasn't that it wasn't nice hair, it was just...well, nothing compared to Tiffanys. But who's really was? "certainly very plentiful" she finished.

"I know what you mean." He followed up, flicking his tail in response. "I feel as if the weather is against anything beautiful, trying to take us done. Though that could never happen, correct?" He playfully smiled, but kept his composure.
"But anywho, my name is Ariston, what is your name?"
At her next set of comments, he eyed her differently this time. Did she not approve of his hair? Did she not realize the brilliance and demanding upkeep that he went through daily? "Yes, it is plentiful, I am able to handle such a burden." He smiled slyly at her, feeling sort of down that she didn't approve right away. Most females oolged him the very second he approached, though she seemed more content in her own beauty. Maybe that meant they would get along better then he thought, being two that were very self obsessed.
"I thought one such as yourself would appeciate my appearance, you seem ladylike and poised, disgusted by some of the other rodents as I am." He let out a slight laugh, and looked at her pure face again. "Though it is refreshing to meet another who handles beauty well."

"Oh yes, the weather is absolutly horrid. If the rain isn't threatening my hair, the humidity and heat is. I don't mind the snow to much, though. unless it get's caught in my hooves." She said, remembering the winder.
"I am pleased to meet you, Ariston. My name is Tiffany" she said, flashing him another smile.
"Ah, yes. Hair is indeed a burson. I always need to be replacing the flowers, because as soon as one begins to wilt, I need to find new ones. And sometimes in certain seasons I just cannot find the right type, so I have to find some pathetic little minion to go searching for me. That usually works out" she said. One thing that Tiffany enjoyed as much as getting compliments was talking about herself.
"Oh, belive me, I do appreciate. I mean, it is certainly above par" she tossed the curl out of her eyes "But sometimes, you know. I have trouble seeing anyone else but myself as beautiful because, well. Look at me, you said it. I am gorgeous. And compared to me, even the most well- groomed, such as yourself, look quite dingy and drab. Nothing personal, it isn't your fault you can't compare" she said, smiling once more at him. Certainly he couldn't get mad at such a logical statement.

Ah Tiffany. A name that would indeed be remembered. At first glance, it seemed their conversation together might stay positive, though Ariston felt his blood boil with some of her comments. Being a beauty meant that there would always be a competiveness between foes, but she obviously didn't understand how different their levels of beauty were.
"A minion, is it?" That comment made him laugh, and he chuckled as she spoke. "Well, it is good that you have excellent taste in your decisions."
He moved his hair out of his face so that he could observe her better. Here a petty female was standing in front of the King of Pride himself, one who bore fangs and stains of blood that were well hidden with various hours of grooming. How dare she talk in such a distasteful manner, his patience could only handle so much.
"You know, I took the time to share a kind aquaintance with you." He changed his expression into a more stern one. "And while you might be a pretty flower, you must realize who you are comparing yourself with. Flowers are only pretty to an extent, until they must wither and die. If you are not always a stunning figure even in the harshest of conditions, then don't relate youself to a handsome being such as myself. There are levels that we can make ourselves out to be, some being excellent at upkeep, with others who are able to retain that level of natural perfection. I am afraid you lack the complete package." He sneered a bit, feeling childish but no matter. She had no right to say such things about him. "As you pointed your opinion out to me, I must point the truth out to you." He laughed, releasing his horrid wings.
"You really don't know who I am, do you?" He took that into account, knowing that he did scheme some awful things behind other's backs, especially with the lower-level kinds of Soquili. "No matter, I just hope we can continue to chat and enjoy each other's company. I mean no snide remarks, I must just state out how things work."

Tiffany raised an eyebrow, taking a step back as he spread his wings at her. Who does HE think he is, trying to intimidate her like that, making assumptions? Hump. Well he will have to get a little Vitamin Tiff.
"First of all, Mr. 'I'm-so-special-cause-I-have-wings" she putting on a show to show that she wasn't as intimidated by him as she really was. "I never said that I looked bad during certain weather. I said it was threatened, and harder up keep. I retain beauty all the time." she snapped, quick to correct anyone who thought she had imperfect moments.
"Second of all! My beauty will NEVER wilt, unlike you, who totally can't pull off the whole nice-guy then mean-guy thing. Pick one. I have the complete package. Charm, Looks, personality, kindness. You are just an annoying stallion. I don't not know who you are, and I don't care. Do you know who I am? Hmm?" she took a deep breath.
What a jerk, coming off as all nice at first. She had even told him he was above average, which was QUITE a compliment, in her opinion. Some people just have no manners at all!!

"If you have the complete package, then why are you freaking out yourself? Shouldn't ladies hold their composures, even when something may have been overstated?" He laughed, though looked at her slyly. "And why would I know who you are? You are a lesser, a plain Soquili. Didn't you know there is a difference between different breeds, and what they are capable of?" He curved his eyebrow and looked at her. Poor Tiffany, she really had no idea. Though, he did enjoy how she was putting up a fight. It is always good for one to stick up for themselves.
"If you don't care who I am, then I am sorry to say but you are unlucky. I don't mean to say that as harsh, but there is a reason some are above the normal status level. This Pride that you carry, Tiffany. That's what I am." He would think she of all would understand, especially since it ran through her being constantly.
"Aaand also," He continued while chuckling a bit. "I'm a Kalona, do you know how hard it is for me to be kind? Plus, where do you come acting like a kind female when you are just as snappy?" He shook his head, realizing their similiarities. "This conversation between us will get nowhere if we argue about beauty, rather we should compare strengths as higher-up personalities, yes?" He nodded, and made his smile kinder again. He didn't want to lead this conversation away on a rude note, especially when Tiffany had done nothing too bad. "So, I will ignore some of my opinions, and push asisde the breed thing, so that I can easily talk to you."
Plus, anything proud fascinated him, though he knew how easily such things could be taken away from one. That was one of his more devilish skills, naturally.
There was always a reason Pride was the deadliest of the Sins, but many didn't speak to tell of those tales.

Tiffany flicked her tail impaciently. It seemed to be a growing trend amongst those she met to lecture here. Why did they bother? It was such a waste of time, really. Tiffany could care less what they had to say, she knew she was better, it didn't matter.
"I am no freaking out" she said angrily "I am just tired of all the idiots like you constently lecturing me! I WILL say what I want, when I want, because I KNOW I am right! " she stomped one foot down in frustration, and for a moment it sank down into the not-so-solid ground before she quickly pulled it back up.
"I told you I don't care, even if you are some kind of upper being, I decided long ago that just becuase I am a 'regular' soquili, it dosn't mean that I am not better then you, or anyone else. One decides there rank in life, and if others try to contradict that with technicalities, well, they are stupid" she said, keeping her head held high.
"If you don't want to argue" she finally said, very frustrated with how things always seemed to be going "Then why do ou? Honestly, if you expect me to back down because you are a Kaloner or whatever you are, you are mistaken. I know I am better, I know I am prettier, I know you are no compare to me, so why would I just shut up about it?" she said, finishing her long rant. Nobody told Tiffany what to do, and nobody told Tiffany to back down. Nobody.

He sighed, though eyed the female confused. It was clear that anything he stated that she did not approve wouldn't even reach her ears, so he figured for the sake of his sanity, he would refrain from bringing it up. They really would argue with each other forever, and Ariston wasn't in the mood. He was more content getting to know her anyways, especially because of their similarities. Plus, she was a female, thehy were in different arenas when it came to beauty, so why did this all matter? "Alright alright, I hear what you are saying Tiffany, and I doubt this conversation will move on if we refrain from accepting each other's mindsets, as opposing as they might be. Though I am impressed, I enjoy seeing a strength of chraracter when the topic of beauty arrives. I'm afraid there are not enough of us who feel passionately on the subject" He nodded to her, keeping a kind smile as he spoke.
He was curious on her standpoint of her life-rank system, and he raised a brow at what she said. "Have you ever had a run-in with other breeds of Soquili? The only reason I bring that up, is that I actually am pretty leniant on that subject. A Kalona would have eaten you by now, as well as a Skinwaler would have brutally possessed you, but I find one breed most interesting on the subject of race towards beauty, and that's unicorns." He chuckled, remembering a few of his own experiences. "Have you had any run-ins with any of thos females? An interesting bunch, I must say." He was trying to transition to another form of conversation: gossip. It was prissy and perfect for the both of them.

Tiffany took a few deep breaths, trying to regain calmness and composure. How unlady like it was to burst out...then again, she needed her opinion to be heard, and Tiffany found through the years that the louder she is, the more attention she gets.
"Fine, but don't think this means I am saying I am wrong. Because I am not" said Tiffany. It sounded bad, but that was probubly the nicest way she would possibly back down from a fight. "And I guess you are right....but usually when people hear me speak they just decide I am TRYING to offend them, and go off on a stupid rant." she added, shaking her head.
"No, I havn't ever met a unicorn, but I have heard of them. Honestly, just because they have a big thing sticking out of their head, they think they are SO special. Hate to tell them, but who would want some big stupid thing there? So akward, and plus, it TOTALLY limits hair possibilities!" she said.
It was true, Tiffany was of no special lineage, nor special breed. But to her, it didn't matter at all. If you know you are special, why not flaunt how wonderful you are? Really, nobody seemed to respect her opinion, but it was there, and she certainly wouldn't let anyone try to prove her wrong.

He nodded as she spoke, feeling strangely similar in the scenarios she described. "I can understand that, I tend to have the same problem. Others always take everything so emotionally that I find it hard to speak to them. They will never understand that others just know what is right all of the time." He chuckled to her, and gave her a playful wink.
At her reaction to unicorns, he expanded his chuckle into a happy laugh. "Well, that was stated very nicely in my tastes of words." He looked at her, feeling playful on the discussion. "They usually brag that they have healing powers, or something," He wisped his nose in the air dramactically, "Who knows if that is actually true. I've never seen a unicorn heal anything in my many encounters."
"Heh I can understand the hair problems, when it is windy my silly horns make my hair all messed up.." He sighed, flicking his head up so his hair would bounce. "I can relate with a unicorn, but I find that having these things on my head only makes my hair a mess. I don't understand how they cope with it. Though, as I am sure you have seen, many Soquili don't seem to care about their appearance at all, it is a scary sight."
He felt inclined to ask another question, and since it seemed they had both calmed down from their beginning explosion, he thought hard about how he should word it. "Seeing that you are beautiful lady yourself, I wonder if there has been a male worthy for your company. And, don't be alarmed and think I am hitting on you myself, I am a father-to-be, so don't worry about me. But, I find it thrilling to meet other's who desire such ways of life, and wonder what your imput on love and such is. Do you wait for one who is worthy?" He kept his face calm, though looked at her insightfully. He didn't want to give her the wrong impression by asking, but he certainly was a father to be, and for the first time he wasn't really hitting on a female. A pretty one, at that.

Tiffany smiled, accually enjoying another's company for a bit. Usually when she met another, it ended up with them screaming at her, and then stomping off. At least he seemed to understand that when you meet a superior, it is best to just deal with it.
"Healing powers? Big woop, if you are smart, you shouldn't get hurt at all. And if you got that hurt, then you probubly are useless to everyone else anyway" she said, knowing that SHE was smart enough to ever need help from some stuck-up unicorn.
"Oh, how dreadful!" she said, eyeing the two horns just in front of his ears. "At least those are at lesat REMOTLY stylish, and go with the flow of your body structure. Unicorn horns are like big sticks coming from one's forhead." She said, flicking her curls out of her face a bit.
The next question baffled her. Tiffany had never put to much thought into it at all before, and wasn't sure how to answer this. "Ummm" she said, thinking. "Well first of all, I don't have a mate at all...and really.... I don't really want one. Seems like a bit of a burdon, always waiting for some inferior oaf to catch up to me. I don't need an idiot holding me down, and I don't really mind. I have had others rant at me about how wonderful it is to be with someone, or mostly that I won't ever find someone. But that is true of course, because I don't try. And I am fine being alone, because that is how I have always been, I don't need others to make me happy" she finished, taking a deep breath from all talking. Indeed, Tiffany had her ego as a perfect companion.
"Father to be, hmm? Congratulations, I supose. Hopefully your children will be quite sensible. So I imagine you have a mate then?" she said, a bit surprised that he had a mate. He didn't really seem like the type. Then again, maybe the pregnancy was out of mating. But still, if it was out of mating, then why would be really know about the foals?

"I agree, I've never had a problem, or scarred my body. Such a dreadful thought, those who aren't careful are pretty dim witted if you ask me." He nodded to her royally. "Such idiots around us, they deserve what they get I suppose." He nudged at his side with his wing, and pollitely put it back into position when he was down itching. "I have never had a good encounter with a unicorn, they usually scold me for my looks because they are apparently intelligent. I don't think a horn makes one intelligent." He chuckled, feeling her drift of thoughts.
He smirked at her, and was suprised she gave him a compliment, though he nodded pollitely. "I don't mind them, I enjoy that they turn the opposite way that most Kalona horns turn. I do find myself much more intact and poised then they are, so I hate affiliating my beliefs with them. Such maniacs, always throwing their bodies around..." He shook his head sadly.
He listened as she spoke about a mate, and tilted his head calmly as she finished speaking. "Heh, that is exactly how I felt, and still feel. Others are baffled that I am currently having children, though it was not my original plan, I am still quite excited. I just hope to spread more beauty to the world. Have you ever thought about it that way?" He winked at her playfully, knowing she too cared excellent genes.
"I wouldn't call it a mate that everyone else bounces about." He laughed a bit, "She is a Kalona, like myself, though is quite interesting in both looks and feelings. She is a good friend of mine, and I find the whole process an excellent decision. I hope to raise children with uttermost Pride."
"I'm sure if you had children, they would be a delightful site, compared to many of the other rodents." He chuckled to her. Finally, another friend who understood the importance of beauty in life.
