Oh, life had become interesting since Akila had reached adulthood. She was meeting so many new Soquili, and learning so much. So far she hadn't had to worry about what daddy had told her, for she hadn't found any sort of 'love' yet. Maybe in time she would, but for now she was a happy young mare, running with the wind.

Xandir landed on soft grass of the meadow, a branch heavy with sweet berries hanging from his mouth. Ah, spring! Finally he could eat something more than dry grass and tree bark. He wondered where Sequoyah has galloped off to, maybe they could share.
Tossing his mass of pink curls over his back, he headed in the direction of the mountains, keeping his eyes out for flowers or wild strawberries to add to his offerings.

Akila turned her head as she caught a glimpse of something pink out of the corner of her eye, wondering what it could be. As her eyes focused she realized that pink was the wings, mane, and tail of a stallion. Another one? It seemed like she was running into an awful lot of stallions these days...if she wasn't careful, she'd have to worry about what her daddy had warned sooner than she had thought. "Good day!" she called out to the stranger, flicking her tail.

Xandir's ears flicked forward as he heard someone calling. He looked to his left and right, making sure the pretty blue vision flitting towards him was referring to him. “Mrph fay,” he said around the branch in his mouth when he realized he was the only other around. His ears lowered in a bit of embarrassment as he lowered his head and dropped his berries, looking back up as she was coming closer. “Good day,” he said this time, offering her a smile.

Akila smiled, ears pricked in curiosity. His spotting reminded her almost of some large cat, and the overall effect was striking. "How are you?" she queried, tilting her head so that her mane draped a bit over her face. True to type, she completely forgot to introduce herself, or to ask his name.
