The innocent female awoke suddenly to a vision of stars. Apparently she had dozed off in the middle of the afternoon, and now she was fully awake under the newly born night sky. All that was running through her mind was feelings of embarrassment, for its not like she did anything all day to make her tired, if anything she should be just settling down for the night!
In her inner-conflict, she stood up and stretched, curling her tail around her leg as she always did. Everything around her was quiet, though noisy bugs sang to the beginning notes of summer. Ghost was excited, for this was her first summer as an adult, so she was able to finally see why everyone commented on how it was a better season.
She tried to recall what she dozed about, and if she had remembered any dreams. The only vision that kept coming to her head was a certain stallion, though she shook that off and flushed. Who knew she would be able to find a friend so easily, and the thought of anything more embarrassed her.
After shaking her mane once more, she began to trot into the open plain so that she could get a better view of the sky full of stars.

Narci was bored. His only real friend, Azure, was off gallivanting with some pretty little mare he found, leaving Narci to fend for himself. He was lying in the crook of a large tree, the leaves tickling his wings as he yawned and tried to get comfortable in the fork of the branch. Just has he was finally comfortable enough to try and doze off, something caught his eye. The catch of moonlight off a mare shaking her mane off a bit in the distance. Narci flicked his ears, lifting his head to get a better look. A flutter mare to boot, maybe that was worth getting up for.
Narci hopped to the ground, breaking his fall with a few flutter of his wings and tossed his own mane, making sure there were no leaves stuck in. He stopped, wondering it he should bother. It was no dount his wings and hair looked much better during the day...
He was about to turn back when he took a longer look at the mare heading out into the meadow. Not only was she a flutter, but Narci caught the slim line of the horned adorned on her head. Intrigued and curious, he changed his mind again and pranced over, doing his best to make sure he was noticed.

"Oh my.." were the only quiet words that came out of little Ghost's mouth. It seemed the most brilliant of flutters had aproached her, and he held wings that she had never seen before. Such vibrant shades of blues and green, she felt colorless compared to him.
She shook her head, and tried to regain her composure, though she had to admit she was very much taken aback. For all of the Soquili that told her how beautiful she was for her wings and color, this stallion was definitely a show himself!
Straightening her shoulders and trying to raise her neck up to a more poised position, she tried to act more lady-like, especially since her mother had taught her all of these things. "Good evening," she said, warmly. "How are you on this fine night? Though I am a bit suprised to see someone else awake." She smiled to him, feeling a bit unnatural, though enjoying that she would make her mother proud in acting like a lady. There was no need to be childish anymore, especially since she didn't look like one. Her eyes kept drifting towards his wings, and she tried hard to stay focused in the conversation. She still had so much to learn as an adult.
She had to admit though, what a suprise run-in, especially at such a sleepy time of the night. Ghost was happy that she had woken up in just the right moment.

Narci puffed up himself at the success. This was starting off well indeed. “Good evening,” he said, bending down and bowing his head in greeting. He straightened up, looking up at her with a dashing smile. She was still taller than him, probably because of her mixed heritage, but Narci never ever let his small stature get between him and a mare. This gal was turning out to be a worth his time already. She was even more striking up close, her dark wings giving a satin-like sheen in the dim light of the night. She looked almost like a beam of moonlight, her subtle colors giving her a mysterious, almost ghostlike glow in the night.
“The night is sometime too beautiful to miss,” he said, looking straight up into the starts below. “I”m Narci,” he said after a moment of silence, eyes darting to her expectantly.

Something about his style seemed strangely familiar, and she realized how similiar his actions were to both Ariston and Guilian. Having a strong confidence amused her, and it was a confidence that was different then her brothers' or other males she had met before. Such suave fellows, it seemed that Narci was a bold one in both appearance and personality. Either way, she was never one to judge, so she just smiled as he spoke, while also enjoying the perfect evening.
"I agree, and my name is Ghost. It is nice to meet you Narci." She gave a light bow in response, and giggled at how poise he was towards her.
How strange that she had never run into him before, but maybe they just never met at the right times. "Do you usually stroll around at night? I have never seen you around before, well during the day at least." She tilted her head and flicked at her mane. "Such interesting wings.. so wonderful.." Her eyes drifted to them again, and she giggled at her childishness. "Mine only hold my father's dark color, though I am still very proud of them." She fluttered them while turning back to his eyes.

“Nice to meet you, Ghost.” Ghost... how appropriate. “I'm here and there,” he said, his short tail swaying in the slight breeze. “So many of us roam these lands, it takes something special I guess for me to stop and notice,” he gave her that dashing smile again, proud of that one he was.
“They are lovely,” he said, since she brought attention to them, he felt no shame letting his eyes linger of them, and the curve of her flanks past them for a moment. Smiling his approval, he found himself saying, “My mother said my wings look just like my fathers, too.” He blinked in surprise at himself...he never talked about his parents. Frowning only momentarily, he seamlessly changed the subject. “And who gave you that wondrous horn?”

Something special, was it? Heh, what an interesting choice of words, though Ghost wasn't the most keen on such wording with meanings. "Well then I am thankful I was able to catch a roamer as yourself." Giving off a playful expression, she giggled at her own reaction. "But I do know what you mean, there are a ton of Soquili everywhere. It is hard to meet just everyone."
She watched him look at her wings, and she kept her warm face at his response. "Thank you, the trait itself is from my mother, she is a beautiful flutter. The horn is from my father, he is a unicorn. Many say it is a strange mix, though I find nothing wrong with carrying important genes that I love from my parents." If there was one thing she would boast about, it was always her family. Nothing made her more proud.
She perked her ears as he mentioned his family, though noticed he didn't seem to want to dwell on the comment. "Well your wings are just lovely, though I am sure I have said that too much already." Once again, she let out a small giggle.

“Oooh, he said, corrected, “I see.” He stepped around her, looking at her from all angles. “I've only has the pleasure of meeting a few unicorns. But I've always admired them, how lucky you are to have such an interesting heritage. It suits you, so well.”
Narci didn't want to elaborate on his past, but he hid it well. He let his wings flutter in the dim light, carefully catching the moonbeams at just the right angles to show off the intricacies of his wings' patterns. “You flatter me,” he said, looking not nearly as modest as his words would imply. “But I do thank the forces that be for what I do have. Beauty is why I live. Admiring it in all its forms.” His eyes show up to the stars again, before coming to rest on her after a moment.

She felt compelled to nod her head very elegantly again, it was a remark that made her feel good inside. She wasn't someone who reflected on compliments much, but because Narci was so stunning himself, she was inclined to enjoy his opinion. "Thank you, I am honored." Her face lit up, and she bathed in his words. "You flatter me as well."
"Beauty would be a nice thing to live for, we all have something of course.." She watched him flutter about, and admired his proud stature. She watched his wings spakle, and then she moved her eyes to the stars as well. Hers might have involved a more family ideal, but it was still nice to see another so passionate on a subject.
Her mind was still growing, and yet she still was able to refrain from being judgemental as some were. "So what else do you enjoy, besides beauty of course?" She turned to him, wondering what mysteries the stallion held. She didn't want to be nosey, though she was definitely curious on the subject.

“And what do you you live for?” he asked, eyes narrowing slightly in a predatory way, stepping a hair closer to her in the starlight.
“I enjoy...” he paused momentarily, choosing his words carefully. “anything worth enjoying I suppose. A sweet apple ripe on the branch. A cool wind on a hot summer day. The pleasure of the company of a beautiful mare,” he gave her his pointed look. No use being coy at this point, he had her where he wanted her and she seemed like an intelligent enough mare.

"My family and my friends." She chuckled, and noticed he was coming forward. Though at his next set of comments, her face flushed into an even brighter shade of pink.
Was he really serious? Ghost wasn't like that, or at least, she thought not of course! What would Hesperos think if she strode away with this male! She was just reaching a point of closeness with another stallion, so why would she waste it all away for someone she didn't even know.
She needed to show him her own stance, and how she did things, maybe it being old fashioned, but she she flicked her hair and tilted her head while eying him with one side of her face. "Well unfortunately the pleasure of company that you seek, I cannot give you." If needed, she would be obvious back. Although she was still young, her morals stayed as strong as her love for her family. Though, she was upset with herself that she didn't see through this earlier. She needed to toughen up herself, but she didn't want to become as angry at male as her sister. "Now what do you think of me?" She said, while keeping a calm face. "I am sorry that you seek only that."
((Hehe, gotta stay true to her character >p This should be interesting, though ))

Narci's ears swiveled forward sharply, his brows knitting and a snort of surprise slipping past his nostrils a split second before composing himself. He let her take a step of distance, tossing his head just slightly enough to realign the few hairs of his mane that had gone astray. He look a calming breath, letting a smile come back over his muzzle before finally meeting her eyes again. "Come now, you misunderstand me," he said in a much softer tone, letting his eyes look a little hurt. "I'm not asking anything of you..." he let himself think for only a minute before he realized he needed to get back control over this situation fast before this little butterfly escaped his net. He held back a shudder at the thought. At least he was alone out here, without Azure's judgmental gaze on him as he blundered.

"Oh your not?" She quirked an eyebrow at him, and dove her foot onto the ground. "Then how should I understand you, Narci?" This time she smiled at him, and gave him a sweeter look. Although it held sarcasm, she giggled at his response. "How else should a female like myself interpret this situation? I think that you should rethink yours."
There was a safe distance between them again, and she kept her eyes on his for the sake of safety. Was he serious? Or were the actions of all of these beautiful males the same?! Every one seemed to have the same formula when addressing a female.
She was really getting tired of this, though she knew one defense that a pretty boy would never allow to himself.

Narci's short tail flicked agitatedly behind him, but he positioned his wings just enough to hide it from view. "Obviously, you're a fine upstanding mare you are," he said. "Must be the unicorn in you, for true Flutters tend not to take things quite so seriously." He said it in his mostly lighthearted way, giving her a little wink, but inwardly he knew he was right.
Taking a different approach, he looked back up to the stars. "See them?" He lifted his front hoof. "They are beautiful, like gems across the sky. Some of the prettiest things in the world. And here you are, just enjoying being in their presence, even though you cannot touch them. You see my point, yes?"

How silly for him to comment on her heritage, esecially when moments ago he liked her horn. Apparently it wasn't helping him in the way that he wished.
"Aye, must be. That's the result of a crossbreed mix. I can't be a true flutter, or a true unicorn. I can only be myself." She winked back at him, following up with his playfullness.
She watched him, and as he finished speaking, she only looked at him confusedly. "No, I don't see your point.. what's wrong with enjoying their presence.." She gasped at what he said suddenly, and narrowed her brow. Of course what he said made sense, it just took her a moment. "Well, you will have to get used to observing the stars then." She flicked her cat-like tail angerly.
