With a faint noise of discontent, Serafima discovered that her tea had grown cold while she had been lost in the translation of her book. Such was the risk of brushing up on an old language. Closing her book, she set it aside completely and brought her tea cup to eyelevel. She shook her head a bit. "Ga..." She immediately cut herself off and grimaced.
Setting the cup down once more, she stood and absently brushed her hands down the front of her neat trousers to smooth any invisible wrinkles. That was right. Galatea was away on her quest with Burgundia. It had been weeks and she still forgot sometimes. The little feien had been so quiet and yet so ever-present. If Serafima were to be honest with herself, she was beginning to miss the young creature quite a bit. Polite, clever, delicate, obedient. Quite probably the best roommate she had ever had.
Galatea had also been an expert at making sure the tea was drunk while still hot.
With a roll of her eyes, she picked up her cup and made in the direction of her kitchen purposefully to renew the cup.

"It took a postcard to remind you, didn't it?" Aleric asked calmly as they reached Gala's home.
"Shuddup, old man, it's been a rough life," Silva said as he headed for the entrance that Gala had told him about once. He slipped through the glass door, followed by his brother, and looked around the dining room blankly.
"Captain Seraphima?" Aleric called out. "Are you here?"

The tall, dark-haired woman in question immediately appeared at the entrance to the dining room, eyebrow lifted. She held a teacup in one hand but the other had, without thought, moved back to where she had once kept a weapon. Feeling nothing and seeing only two feien, she relaxed and inclined her hand minutely. "If you are looking for Galatea," she answered, "she has gone on a quest."

"Not really," Silva said, inwardly sighing.
"Galatea was worried that you would get lonely after a while," Aleric said with a slight smile. "We thought the least we could do to ease her mind was come and see you. My name is Aleric, I'm Silva's brother."

Serafima studied the blonde feien with clear disbelief but manners kept her tongue in check and she merely nodded. "I see. That sounds exactly like Galatea." She motioned a bit with her cup. "Can I get the two of you anything? I believe Galatea keeps her cups in a small cabinet along her west wall."

"Tea would be fine," Aleric said politely.
Silva snorted. "Water, if tea's all you've got. You're obviously still alive, though. Don't know if our bond would be."
"Ice would be fine," Aleric said calmly. "You shouldn't joke like that."

"I have juices." Serafima motioned to the house. "Please retrieve cups for yourselves. Galatea would not mind. After all, you are Silva... and brother."
With those cryptic words, she disappeared into the kitchen to obtain both drinks and the eyedropper she regularly used to dispense portions into the tiny cups of her feien.

Silva shrugged and headed for the house to get the cups. He had never thought too highly of Gala's bond, not when Gala told him about her. Cold blooded and all that s**t. But he figured after a drink he could skip out and tell the girl that he had done his duty.
"I don't believe she likes me very much," Aleric said softly as he followed his brother into the house.

Even as the two males disappeared into the house, Serafima came back through the door with the eyedropper balanced on the saucer of her teacup and a glass of water in the other hand. The silence with which she reappeared apparantly had been absolute; there was no reaction from inside the house. She paused for a moment to consider her visitors and their intentions and then dismissed it with the slightest of shrugs. Aleric and Silva were brothers in the way most families on Gaia seemed to work - adoption and choice over bloodlines. She remembered the name Aleric the more she thought on it. The difference being, Galatea had always preceeded it with a "mister". Polite little thing.
Just as she was about to set down the drinks and summon the others, she caught a flicker of orange at the window and strode over to see what else could be lurking around Galatea's private entrance.

Hadrian had just lifted a small fist, in order to knock politely upon the window. He might not have, had Galatea been present, but since he knew she wasn't, it seemed proper to ask permission from the Captain to enter her home.
He'd kept his promise to Gala quietly so far, admittedly not particularly keen on the idea of having to converse with Gala's terse bond by himself. He'd checked in on her through the window now and then, and since she had seemed .... like her usual self...he'd decided that was sufficient.
Today however, Silva and Aleric had arrived before him and when he'd approached the window he'd seen them speaking the The Captain. Curiousity got the better of him, with Galatea gone what would bring Silva to visit Serafima?
When the Captain stepped toward the window he proceeded, though he knew she'd seen him, to knock politely on the glass.

"Hello, Hadrian." She nodded; it wasn't a warm expression but it wasn't forbidding either which gave him some hope. "Push it open. It's unlocked." She stepped back then and turned towards the table once more and set down the drinks. "You're in time for other company," she added. "Galatea's friends Silva and Aleric are here as well. It would seem she made everyone promise to keep track of my sanity."

"Ah, should I get another cup?" Aleric asked as he stepped out of the house. Silva walked past him, taking one of the cups Aleric held and moving to the Captain to get his.
He paused, glancing at Hadrian and searching his brain for the other feien's name. Nothing came to him, so he gave up on trying to care.

"Hello Captain Rabik." Hadrian said as he shoved the window open, offering her a warm expression in response to her greeting. He glanced at Silva, but the other feien hadn't greeted him so he just nodded in his general direction. He had missed Aleric's question as he was opening the window and so simply smiled and waved at the blond feien. Galatea had asked Silva and Aleric to check on Serafima as well? He wasn't entirely sure how he felt about that. But true to form, he came up with an immediate explanation.
"I think it is less you sanity that she was worried about and more that you might get lonely." He told Serafima shrugging. He now felt a little guilty for not actually stopping in to speak to the Captain, although he wasn't entirely positive she liked company and suspected she wasn't exactly lonely in general even if she missed Galatea. Hadrian after all was nothing like Galatea.

"Perhaps both." Serafima shrugged minutely; truly, either way was impossible for her to fathom but, if it kept Galatea content and made no inconvenience in her own life, why not? "I'll be sure to tell her that all of you visited, of course. I know she thinks highly of you."
She accepted the cups from Aleric and Silva with a gracious nod and began scrupulously measuring out liquids for them all. "Let me see. How is training going, Silva?"

"We hit a few... snags," Silva drawled with a hint of irony. "Like a nightmare making brat."
"One of our bond's children has the misfortune of creating nightmares in others," Aleric said politely, looking at Hadrian to include him in the conversation. "Silva, Soho, and I found it prudent to move out of the house for a while, so our training has been delayed."
"But I'll start the training back up this weekend or so. Nick and Nack are starting to look fat," Silva added with a shrug.
