Noyana had spent most of the day sitting at home, picking grass up out of the earth... Until she had gotten sick of it. The little lioness decided not too long ago to get up and go somewhere- so she did just that. Noyana was on the plains of the pridelands, without a care in the world. The sun was out- but not too hot, life was good. She ran along in search of something when a butterfly fluttered its way across her path. "Perfect," the cub said playfully, hiding herself down into the grass before leaping at it. She crouched into the grass again, and pounced again. And again, and again. But the next jump, however, sent her into a tree. The cub pulled back, dizzied by the collision. When her senses returned, she checked to make sure nobody had seen, and nobody was in sight. With a sigh of relief, the cub turned to check on how far away home was before continuing on. However, the sight had not been what she had hoped. The cub had lept down a hill, making Pride Rock too distant to see.
She let her paws pull her up the tree, perhaps from the top she could get a better view. The bark crumbled as her claws passed, and she slipped often, but she was slowly making her way up.

Mwokoti couldn't determine such a thing for sure, but the Pridelands seemed to have the most lions in it. This guess was due to the fact it's where her time was dominantly spent. Sure, she would occasional leave it to go find someone. Sometimes, that someone didn't even have a pride, just a group or family they needed to get back to.
After that, it was always back to the Pridelands with her. It was the only place she'd come to see the same lion (or lioness) more than once.
This cub, though, she had never seen. Soundlessly she had landed behind the tree, and taken to observing the yellow shape as it scurried up it.
"That's not safe," she informed the cub in a motherly way. "You should come down."

The goddess had completely snuck up on Noyana, and scared her into losing her grip and falling right down the slippery tree. She landed with an "oof" at it's base and rolled over onto her back, allowing her to see the goddess upside-down. She stared at the shiny gold lanturn for a moment, then turned her eyes to the creature's face. She didn't seem mean or angry looking.
"I guess I should," she said, a tad too late. Noyana righted herself and got on all four paws. It wasn't until now that she noticed the wings. "Are you part bird?" she asked, having no notion of what a god or goddess was.

Part bird? How adorable. "No, I'm not." Which was unfortunate, because Mwokoti really did adore birds. "I'm a Goddess. Goddess of the Lost." That probably cleared up the matter of why she was there, but just in case, "I'm here to help you. You wandered awfully far for someone so young."
Her wings stretched out, the white feathers spreading and becoming more distinct. "I assume you're from the Pridelands." Because almost everyone was these days. "Around Priderock?"

Yana was a bit shocked to be in the presence of one who sounded so powerful. The prefix of "goddess" sounded quite authoritative. She felt she had the need to explain herself.
"You see, I was going to climb the tree to see Pride Rock, and then I could just head back. No need to worry here, though," Noyana said, trying to be smug "I'm pretty sure I can handle it."
She didn't mean to be rude, but Noyana was an independent personality. She didn't feel she needed anyone's help, and didn't feel it was right to take it.

Yes, Mwokoti had met this type before. It was a common trait in cubs, particularly ones with large or powerful families. Perhaps Noyana had one of those? Either way, there was always the same tactic that generally worked.
"I see," she began. "Well, I need to head there myself, but I don't really like traveling alone. Maybe I could come with you?"

Noyana bought the plea without a second thought.
"Of course!" Having company with her was a completely different story all together! As long as she wasn't being taken by the paw (like the cub she was.) She skittered to her feet and ignored the fact that the goddess probably knew where to go. "I'll show you the way!" She said boldly, aiming herself in the direction from where she had come.
