I was wondering what people's thoughts were on so called Time Slips, where people enter another time in an other wisemundane setting, there are many many accounts of this, most notably to me the case of a girl from the Isle of Wright by the name of Lucy Lightfoot.

Do you think people have been able to travel back in timeor has certain moments of the past been imprinted onto the natural fabric of the area?

Links to help what I can't explain.

Time slips are very interesting. It ties into the concept that time is not just a straight, forward line but instead a curvy one that folds back on itself. Remember when you were a child and you made an accordian by folding the paper on itself? Imagine that as a line, and time being that line. I don't know if I believe in Time Slips, but the concept is very interesting and intriguing to me, it makes for good philosophy discussions and debates.

Hm, this is the first I've ever heard of Timeslips. I looked at the wiki site about it. Very, very intresting stuff. I hope to experiance it one day. : )
But I do have a question regarding sort of an oposit if I may.

There is a day in my life of which I have the weirdist memory of. Actually, almost no memory. All I remember is that day was so weird. I dont remember waking up, just standing at school with friends, and all the colors were dull and blan. I mean like it was some sort of dream. But I know it happened cause I have a picture from that day of my friend dressed as Brittany Spears. O_o (i think it was like a spirit week). It's so weird but could my mind of still been in like some sort of dream mode?

Timeslips... I can't argue with records or anything, but I can confirm the possibility of such happenings. Reading the stories and such. Time travel in particular is said to require much energy. Temporal events, event horizons, and time travel in general usualy center around singularity anomolies such as black holes or wormholes. Anyway I can't begin to explain quantum mechanics ya probably all just got a headache with what I said already.

My opinion on this matter is that it is possible from any point of cause. Mystic wise I'm unaware, such powers I wouldn't know anyone. Science wise possible on every level pending means and technology available. As for general peranormal, it could be possible to pass off as maybe a past life experience or just down right wierd. To slip back in time would brng about many disputes about timelines and course of historical actions. did certain events happen because said time traveler altered and made it so, or was the time travel and effective outcome pre ordaned by fate like all other actions? Chronologic displacement is a very sensitive and much disputed topic, the ramifications of which are as complex as any device or powers used to cause it.

I wouldn't mess with it personaly. the infinite peradoxes, probable case scenario of a time space collapse. if I had no choice but to timeslip and be stuck in what period I land in, my best course of action logicly to me would be to go on and do what I feel is necissary without thinking about it. should I cause an apocolypse cuz of my actions well.... *shrugs* guess thats that.

my impression on time slips would have to be that it is possible but not probable it could happen but its not likely i read the lucy lightfoot story and thought it was very good it has kind of lifted my doubts on timeslips.

Wow, some interesting stuff here! It certainly is possible that time isn't linear because of these; however, I still wouldn't do anything unless I was noticed in that period. Touching one tiny thing in the past can have tremendous consequences in the future, after all.

Miss Murder: You're relating to how everything goes dull before a time slip, right? What did you see and feel for the rest of that day? I want to say that you could've gotten caught up in a phenomenon of some sort that either required or just plain sucked up a lot of energy, time slip or otherwise. There are quite a few things that can drain the life out of a place, after all.

In our old home my brother expeierenced more of a loss of time, his clocks in his room where all suddenly on different times, he was in his room for what seemed like 7minutes when he came out, the time had passed by an hour and we all had wondered what had happened

Wow. Quite an experience! Sounds like a time shift to me, or...

...There aren't any video games in his room, are there? Addictions make you lose track easily. Did ya check the clocks afterwards?

Is that what its called?
I never had a word for it. lol

I was sitting in my college computer class one day minding my own bussiness when i looked up from my computer and it was like the day for a minute had a line running threw it from the day before because i saw myself directly in front of me and that had been the seat where i sat the day before.
My concentration was over for the day lol

time slips are freaking weird, i havent seen one but this is what i heard,
"everything is all grey like an old movie, it shows an event in the spirets, lifetime or an event you must see to do something," it is usually importent like, keep someone from killing them selves because there sperit arnt ready for the afterlife or something (it's around those lines)

This has happened to me. It was probably one of the most bizarre things I've ever experienced, because the circumstantial evidence pointed more toward some kind of time/space rift than anything else. gonk
