 The day was coming to a tranquil ending, and the setting sun had given the earth a red hue. Even Tahlia, the young mare, was tinted a reddish-brown. She was too busy to notice her unusual coloring, however. She was much too intent on a fish in the stream she was observing.
The fish too, was busy. It's dull shadow was cast onto the bottom of the stream as it slowly made its way through the water, searching for a spot to lay it's eggs. That's what Tahlia suspected, anyways. Though, she would probably say she knew it was looking for a place to lay eggs.
Her curly locks dangled infront of her face, and finally she lifted her head as she lost interest in the shimmering creature. She knew what was going to happen anyways, she figured.

 Kiefer trotted along a hill. The colors of the sunset reflected off his golden fur, it was such a peaceful evening. Of course, Kiefer was not really the type to enjoy this, it just made him stir-crazy.
As he got to the top of the hill, he saw someone, just a bit away. Was it? Yes... yes! It was! He was so overjoyed to see his sister, he didn't think of how much of an idiot he probubly looked like. The stallion galloped down the hill to the stream, jumping directly into the water, making sure that it splashed all over her.
"Oh, sorry" he said, joking and winking at her. He had been away from home for so long, and he just now realized how much he missed his two sisters. He had barely seen them since they had grown, and the site of Tahlia now still surpised him. She looked so grown up.
In his mind, she should still be a little filly. And so pretty. Why did his sisters have to be pretty? Even as their brother he could tell that they were good looking, and he hated thinking of other stallions noticing as well.
