Actually, Giger didn;t inspire the series... Somebody on the set of the film Alien had a copy of one of his art books, and Riddley Scott saw the art and basically said "I want HIM to design this monster!" Anyway... His art is rather surreal and interesting, and I'm glad he's the one who designed the xenomorph drone and facehugger rather than some hack.

Serously people. gonk There was even a court case in 1976 about his art being porno. Alot of his stuff is freaky sexual biomechanoids.

Now it being called porno I simply can't agree with, it's not like he had blue skinned ladies spreading their legs or actual sex scenes, his stuff is no more graphic than any other art out there it just has a darker feel.

Prodigis Did he win the court case? It was ruled that his stuff was more artistic than pornographic. But still, you know his stuff has alot of sexual content if there was a court case over it. I have nothing against him, I'm just saying that disturbing people sexually is one of his gifts. Thats one of the things that made alien so creppy.

Thats one of the things that made alien so creppy. LOL, well really his art is no more sexual than any other art with nudity, the difference is how much there is and the overall feeling of his art. I think he wasn't really sued for having the nudity as much as having nudity that desturbed certain people.
