  The newly grown mare pranced around with her new legs. She was still very small, but right now she felt on top of the world. Like she could do anything-!
Epesi ran right into a large boulder and fell backwards. "Ouch! That...hurt!" She giggled loudly, and quickly got back up on her hooves to dance around some more.
Momma said she was pretty, the prettiest mare to ever walk the land, as well as her older sisters Aruna and Artemis...who she had yet to meet. Of course, Epesi believed everything Mahiri said...so she took it well. She was pretty, indeed.
Light brown eyes darted through her surroundings, she wondered where her two brothers could possibly be. Toquah'kan and Riley...were they with Dad still? Epesi wanted to see them so badly!
"Weeeeeeeeee!" The small mare giggled, throwing her body left and right now in a kind of sway. She was still getting used to being so tall and so different, so she didn't want to just stay there and hope that her body would just automatically get used to her. She had to work it out.

Riley bounced back an forth on his newly grown legs. He felt different, but still like a child in spirit and energy. He liked being tall, he felt he could see more.
He noticed his sister running around in front of him and with a happy, "Heee!" He ran over to greet her. "Heya!" He said as he trotted next to her.

The sudden appearance of her younger brother made the young mare jump. But she didn't mind getting scared, it actually made her laugh! Hehe, silly brother.
"Ooooh, hello little brother!" Epesi giggled, nudging his side. "You grew up studely!" The annoying and talkative girl bounced around her brother in a playful manner. They were both adults, so then all they needed was to see Toquah'kan again and they could have a siblings reunion!
Or Bairn, Aruna and Artemis. Meeting one of those three, their Momma said, was going to be hard, but definitely worth the struggle!
"How are you? Now that we've grown!"

Riley smiled his happy smile. He then rubbed her back. "Why thanks and you grew up very pretty!" Riley kicks his feet out underneath him as he liked to do.
"I'm fine, but I've got extra enegry, wanna run?" He knew they were grown, but they could still play a little, couldn't they?

"Thank you little brother. I have to disagree, but Momma would get mad if she heard me say otherwise!" Epesi laughed just a little, to show her happiness of being with Riley. Here, two young adults had the world in front of them, families elsewhere...but they chose to say back with their parents.
"Energy, Riley? Run?!" The small mare's ears perked up and she nodded quickly. No matter how old any of them got, they were always going to act like their parents. Happy and free. Hyper and wild. Young and fun...always. Unlike their older siblings.
"Of course! Would never turn down a race! So...let's race!"

"Yeah, I always have extra enegry." Growing up did nothing to change that! He was always ready for some fun.
"Where should the finish line be?" He needed a stopping point or Riley may just keep on running! He wasn't very good at stopping once he got started.

She nodded quickly. Of course. Being, again...the children of Mahiri and Hania it was almost expected that they'd have energy. But still, a grown stallion would be looked down upon for being so eager. Especially from someone who was the complete opposite. But to Epesi, Riley was just as silly as herself.
"Umm..." The small mare started, her pretty copper eyes darted the scenery. Finally landing on a large tree in the background, she perked up. Perfect! Not that far away, but not close to where it would end in seconds.
"How about that large tree way over there in the back of everything else?" Her voice was cheery, hoping he'd accept.

Riley looked around and spotted the tree she suggested. It wasn't too far or too close. "That looks great!" He did a little jump to show his excitement...he may never grow up!
"Should we go on a count of three?" He did want to get or give a headstart, that just wouldn't be fair!

She couldn't help but giggle. Riley, of course was younger than her so it was understandable...but he still acted like a foal. Not like she didn't...because she definitely did...but her brother was so playful and rambunctious. Ah, the joys of life.
"Alright, Riley. We'll go at the count of three!" Epesi squeeled, settling her hoofs into the ground. Oh, the mare knew of her brother's speed and she knew of her own. This race would be a good one for sure.
"One..." She began. "Two..."
A long pause came between the last two numbers and Epesi stole at glance at Riley before yelling,
"THREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" And she took off.

Riley nodded, he geared himself up for the race. He stiffened as she started to count. He galnced at her and then heard her shout, "Three!"
Riley took off at a pretty fast pace. Riley was always good at a start, but forgot to save energy for they end. Riley, just pumped his legs as he tried to beat his sister.

Epesi wasn't as fast as her younger brother, it appeared as though he had gained all of their mother's speed and her only a little. But that fact didn't bother her-she would still try and beat him.
The small mare started off slow, as a brown figure raced past her with much speed. Riley was going almost too fast. Would he possibly lose speed at the end, letting her catch up?
The wind was perfect too. Just enough to flow through her hair, making the curls go all over the place. Would the wind slow Riley down?
Epesi could only watch, and wait to see. Her legs carrying her at an even faster pace now.

Riley smiled as he blew past his sister. He flet her running behind him. He was at full force, but was now starting to slow down.
This was not making him happy, but he still realize that you need to keep the burst of speed until the end of the not the begining!
Riley flet Epesi start to catch up, and tried to go fast, but his legs were tiring and he didn't have as much energy left.

She could tell his speed was slowing, which was definitely good. A few more feet and perhaps he'd be too tired to run fast...giving Epesi the advance of speed. The small mare laughed to herself as she caught her younger brother's eye before speeding past him with almost the same amount of speed he had at the beginning.
"Catch ya later!" Epesi giggled, not turning back to see if he was still running or anything of that sort. Ah, obviously both had gained their speed from their mother, if not their father too.

Riley felt her gain on him and tried to go faster. When she met his eye and sped past he frowned. Wasn't he just beating her a bit ago?
"Hey!" He pumped his feet, but he just didn't have much speed left in him. He saw her just a few lenghts ahead, but he didn't figure he would catch up.
