Ok, first off:
Diamond Dean - Lead singer
Jimmy J - Lead Guitar
Dave Ablaze - Shred Guitar
Ben O' War - Drums
Mikki Murder - Bass
So my friend Sam and I were first in line. While we were waiting Jimmy came out of the pavillion and looked at us lol Then he had a smoke and Dave went out with him for a bit. Then they went back inside and we were let in a bit after that. Then Ben was setting up the merch table and when he was finished we went over and got free stickers and pins. Then we both bought t-shirt and Ben asked if we knew them through myspace to which I replied yes. Ben also gave us a free jagermeister keychain thingy you put around your neck and a jagermeister flashy thing. Psychotic 4 were the third to go on so we had to sit through two bands. They weren't bad. One sounded very heavily influnced by Cradle of Flith. Then they went on.. and it ******** ROCKED! Sam and I were RIGHT infront of them.. Mikki almost hit me with his bass lol They sang Youth Gone Wild by Skid Row and had us sing along. Dave let us touch his guitar for a solo. Nothing beats a fan solo lol Then Ben had this drum solo and as he's druming Mikki comes up and slaps stickers on our asses ^_^ That was nice razz Dean was dead on in front of me most the time. Dave and Jimmy enjoyed being infront of me too. lol
After the show (and before they went on) we talked to them quite a bit. Jimmy told us to keep in touch with him and join the street team. And he said they planned on coming back in June or July. We said we'd be there. Dave gave us big bear hugs. And I get the feeling Mikki may have a little thing for me or something because after they were done their set he came out to watch the last band and he kept getting closer to me.. then I asked for a picture with him and he said "SURE!" then Ben ran over as Mikki had is arm around me and gave Mikki BIG thumbs up lol
Then after everything was over Ben gave both of us drumheads and drumsticks. We both got our drumheads signed. We couldn't find Dean to get a picture with him it so Dave let us go backstage and find him. Dave ran backstage with a video camera and said "Hey Dean there's some beautiful ladies that want to touch you!" And then we got our picture taken with him. I talked with Ben a bit and he asked me if I speaked french and I said "Oui" (yes lol ) And he talked about how he finds more people on the east coast know french and that people in Ottawa do too. But he finds that not many people in Toronto know French.
Then we went outside Dave brought out this box and set it near us and he said "Make sure nobody takes this" and I was like "Excpet us right?" and he said "Yeah, you guys can have it!" and laughed. Then Ben was packing up some stuff and I asked him "How was the gig in Frederiction?" And he said "Very good" so I said "Better then Hailfax?" Him: "No" Me: "Good answer". A BIG smile came over his face. Then he handed me Dean's nailpolish and he was like "Give this to Dean when he comes out." So when Dean came out I was like "Dean here's your nailpolish" and he was like "Nah, keep it. It fell out of my bag a long time ago" and smiled. So I've got his nailpolish. lol They all thanks us and told us to tell all our friends about them. Then before they left Ben came over and kissed me on the mouth and gave me a hug. Then he kissed Sam's cheeks ^_^
