Alright people and coralians of Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN. Which do you Prefer? Sub or dub? (For those of you that don't know, Sub means Japanese voices with English subtitles, and dub means English voices no subtitles.)
I know a lot of you watch this series on Adult Swim, but do you really think the voices fit the characters? Which ones do you think don't fit their character?
Myself, I prefer sub. I don't like American voice actors that much. Don't get me wrong they have done a good job in some animes, but this one I think they just failed.
(Also, sorry if this is in the wrong place. I couldn't really see where to put something like this. Plus I notice people usually are on the main page here.)

dont worry, its in the right place! wink
I like the dubs MUCH better than the subs for one reason alone: Subs are way too distracting from the current action. Like if an enemy is talking, like when the Scub Coral attacked those UF KLFs in episode w/e it was. Reading subtitles and *BAM!* It happens, but where were your eyes? At the bottom stuck reading while all the action is going on...
I watch TV to watch TV! Not to read! xp

I have a request for you though....dont use the Strikethrough tags for an entire block of text. It makes it quite annoying and hard to read...

I like my text like that, but alright. =P If it's like that again its just from a force of habit. Olorin90: lol Then why do you like dubs better when you have that skill? *curious*

Personally I prefer the dub, but it does kind of annoy me how they basically just picked out a bunch of popular voice actors going around at the moment and such. razz There're a few voices here and there that bug me slightly in both versions, but they're on pretty much the same level.
Notably, though, Holland is voiced better in the Japanese version than in the English one, I think. Crispin Freeman's voice doesn't quite fit Holland's character... and he forces the "angry" stuff a lot. In the original, he's voiced by the same guy who did Sven from Black Cat, who's awesome. razz
Basically, I don't really notice a terrible drop in quality going from either one to the other, so I just go for dub 'cause it's easier. Stop stealin' my words, Steeveeo! >___< razz

Hmn.. thats a tough one... I like dubs better when watching the episode for the first time in a while.. it allows you to look at whats going on more.. but in general, i like subs much better.

Both of them has flaws to it like the Dub has some issues of saying names like saying Anemone weird(its just me and sometimes for the substitles/Japanese it keeps you looking at the subs most of the time (its just me again). For the positives the Dub has a little better quality than the fansubbers' version, yet the voices of the Japanese version fits very on the characters. Overall they are both good, but I dont have a choice i like both of them as equals in my opinion.

Anemone For 2 reasons: 1. I just like the overall voices better. 2. I dont have to keep my eyes on the screen the whole time. Thats about it.

I like the dub for pretty much the same reason as Steeveeo: I like to watch the action, not READ, dagnabbit! xp
It's sometimes hard to keep up with the words as they go and watch at the same time and sometimes I miss parts of sentences.
I can't really compare the voices of the Japanese and English voice actors because I've never really seen the Japanese-voiced Eureka Seven, except for the last third of episode 50 so I could see that "1 year later" part. Renton's Japanese voice kind of bugs me. neutral
