Who: Remus' family. Primarily Rem & the 6 new kits, though I would love the whole brood to be there. If Vynn chooses to bring Sesshy, cool, and those in Noko's family that are most watching Aiden should probably come too. Since Edward is currently staying with the family & is Lily's best friend he's likely there too. What: First full moon for the new 6 Where: Outside the House in Bass'ken Woods, near & in Remus' metallic shack. When: starting late afternoon, 1 May 2007. After finding out Ginny's pregnant (hence why she won't be present), after Edward comes to stay for a while, & after Trel's family's 'discussion' with Valefor about Endless & Liliana. Why: To show his kits his condition & see if any carry its taint.
Remus Lupin paced anxiously in front of the door to a strange metallic shed. Beside the door, near a second, smaller door leading to a small alcove his guardian sat watching him with worried, wide eyes. In the small red creatures arms he clutched a bottle of thick liquid.
Watching from beside a rosebush closer to the house bright green eyes knew the potion to be the Wolfsbane Potion that would render her father docile while he was a were wolf. A pair of light blue eyes peeked from underneath her gold tipped brown wings, watching their father with wide eyes wonder and curiousity . Then Hemi snuggled the back of his sister's neck, guessing that her heart was heavy. With a tenuous half-smile Liliana twisted her neck to lightly nuzzle her baby brother in gratitude.
"Daddy..." But what could she say? Liliana was not very good with understanding her feelings, but she knew her father was worried that one of the new kits -or more- would bear his curse. He had been lucky before...
She remembered the ache in her heart the first time she had seen their father locked away, changed. Protectively Lily drew her wings around the kit on her back, hoping that none of her siblings would carry the curse with them. Green eyes flicked to her father, wishing there was something she could do to ease his worry.
The wizard paused and turned at his daughter's voice, giving her a half-forced smile. There was so much going on right now... would he miss a chance for her to confide in him while he was away? That was amid the other more expected worries on his mind on this occasion. His chocolate colored head dipped to his chest as Remus sighed heavily. "Liliana... You know what you must do if..." if one of the new kits change too. Remus could not voice it but his crimson furred daughter was already nodding dutifully. "Yes, Daddy."
His smile was a little less forced and certainly proud. "Good."

Quietly approaching was one small alchemist. The winged teen with the blonde braid and red jacket making his way up to Liliana's side. He quickly judged the expressions of Liliana and her father, and frowned himself. Something was obviously amiss, and golden eyes turned to Liliana expectantly. "What's going on?" He probably couldn't be expected to understand, since all this magic stuff was completely foreign to him. Edward being the scientific and analytical child prodigy that he was, although he had come to accept some of Liliana's unexplained magic.
He blinked once as father spoke to daughter in a grave tone, wondering what was meant by that. But then... he didn't want to press as much as his curiousity bugged him. It wasn't really any of his business, right?

The weather was...tense this afternoon. The normal clenching in Nahanni's tummy had increased, and for what reason she did not know. Perhaps it was the way the moon seemed to settle in the sky, waiting for the moment the sun would leave and it could begin its glow. Red tipped ears turned, and the shy kit peeked at the familiar voices of family. Standing, Nahanni moved away from the skylight window to catch sight of her father and two siblings near the metal shed. The shed she had once glanced upon and shuddered at. Curiosity overwhelmed the kit, and soon she found herself drawn to the group. Silently she stepped down off the roof, with help of the garden shed. Padding forward, she paused when she was someways behind her older sister and Hemi. "What's happened?" Her shyness seemed to dimmer in replace of urgency and alertness.

Ayako frowned. Why, did everyone seem...nervous, tense? As if they were waiting for something. Was it a special day of sorts? Her ears laid back at that thought as her little gold wings fluttered. She padded up to the rest of them, standing beside the alchemist, observing Liliana's and her dad's expression. She waited the answer to Nahanni's question, staring at both of them.

A soft wuff of air escaped from the maw of the most silent child, which only reminded them all he had been around for awhile now, his head lowered on his forepaws steadily, his own wolven eyes watching as the sky turned to dusk, ears pinned back as all the things around him assaulted his greatest sense, the sense of hearing.
Flickering his tails as he heard his sibling Liliana - in which whom he had been taking his restless position next to - converse with their father, he knew all too well what this meant. Even he could feel the itch and bother that the night would bring. No, he was not like his father, persay, but instead, he grew wreckless and wild, a child of the forests and fields, less sophistcated than normally.
But having heard of the get together, he could not reject following; he too wondered about the bloodline, and who had received what.
Oh what that disc would tell.

Vynnessia had been watching the phasing of the moon since Katsumi had been born and knew her father would want to see the 6 new kits to see if any of them had contracted his were wolf gene. Vynnessia remembered the first time her father had shown her the same thing. But still... Vynnessia stared at the moon rising in the black sky. "Come on Katsumi." the older kitsu bade the younger one.
Katsumi grumbled following her sister but felt something important was going to happen and for some odd reason couldn’t stop staring at the sky like a moonstruck crow. Katsumi wondered why.
"I know you hate spending time with the family but... Please this is important." she tried to persuade her sister who for some reason wasn't as troublesome as usual was she able to sense the importance of this?
“All right, Alright Nessi” Katsumi said rather annoyed she could sense something but couldn’t place her paw on it yet.
Vynnessia saw the metal shack come into view as well as the rest of her siblings. "Hello, everyone," she called not as bright spirited as usual; this was far too serious. “Daddy…” she smiled at Remus, she knew this wasn’t going to get any easier on him, just like the last time.
Katsumi looked around and wondered why everyone was so sulky faced. “What’s wrong with you?” she asked rudely. Not a single member of her family wore a ‘happy’ smile this night.

It only took a few minutes to get from her owners place to where remus and family was waiting. Though to her the walk felt like an eternity. Nokomis walked slowly her wings covering the kit sound asleep on her back. She had a sense of impending doom but she couldnt voice it. Normally she was wrong. She hoped she was wrong this time. Rounding the corner she could see almost all the family there and she nodded silently to remus. shuffling her feathers so that the young one would wake up. " Aiden.." she muttered softly trying to wake him.
Aiden only yawned and snuggled farther into his sleeping position muttering about not wanting to go to school.

"My children..." Remus managed with a choked voice, smiling with a pained sadness at each of them in turn as they neared or voiced their presence. He nodded too at Edward & Nari's twin, Nokomis. He seemed neither surprised nor worried at their presence.
"It's not what happened." Liliana started slowly, mildly shocked that their usually shy sister had spoken up. "It's what's going to happen... and what might happen." It felt odd being the one to explain things. Her gaze drifted unbidden to the sun far past its zenith but not yet set. It was still day and still time for Remus to take the Wolfsbane potion before the moon rose. With a light rub against her mute brother, Liliana turned and nuzzled her best friend with a kind of need for comfort laced with anxiety. "I... maybe I should have told you before, but it never came up and it's really not widely known. Just to family and close friends mostly." Green eyes flicked, seeking out her father's. Catching the question in her gaze and understanding upon seeing the fullmetal teen Remus nodded, then returned to his pacing, casting glances at Romulus and Vynnessia with a silent reprise of the question he had asked earlier -something like 'wands at the ready, children, wands at the ready'. "Daddy's a werewolf. Long story, but he was bit in his before & it came with him. Maybe like your automail came with you. At the full moon he changes and..." her voice chocked even as Hemi gently nuzzled the top of a red ear and her green gaze flicked from her friend to those of her kit sisters. "And Daddy's worried it might pass on."
Leaving Liliana to the support of Rommy & Ed, the scarfed kit hopped onto his brother to nuzzle him, then down behind Lily to Nahanni, nuzzling her with a worried chirp and urging her to their eldest sibling's side before trotting around the fullmetal to nuzzle him & Ayako then loving on the ever-sullen Katsumi & his fellow scarfed sibling.
Remus stopped his pacing, and looked down at the ground beneath his feat with a sigh. It was just grass but he knew the little cait Amaryllis would be upset that his pacing had uprooted so many shoots and damaged others. It almost made him smile. "The older ones know, as they have been through this before. I can only speak for myself, but for me the first time is the most difficult." The wizard was picking his words more slowly & deliberately than normal. Hemi whined softly from Vynnessia's scarf, wanting to go to their father and console him but seeing Remus was purposefully keeping his distance. He was also staying close to the door, on the west side of the shack -perhaps a silly precaution for when the moon followed the sun across the sky. Remus worried anew if any of his offspring would be passed his curse -was it luck that none were werewolves in the first litter, or could the curse not pass beyond his blood? He hoped it was the later but since he was not sure Remus still worried. Countless books he had read on the subject, until he could hardly separate fact from fiction. He could only for certain go off the wizarding books -which held no accounts of werewolves having children at all other than turning children and making them their own. Which is of no help to me.
He avoided looking to the sky, not wanting to be reminded how close to darkness it was and how close he was pushing it in taking his potion. But he wanted to be able to answer his kits questions if they had them before dulling his wits and body to the level of sanity bequeathed to him under the Wolfsbane Potion. "Hopefully your mother. MauCho & Enue will be here soon. But if you can think of a question, now would be the time." His gaze fell briefly on the potion in his guardian's arms. "Before I take the only thing that keeps me safe & sane through the coming three nights, for it weakens me & dulls my thoughts."
((Will wait until everyone's posted once more, hopefully Mau will pop in by then. If not, I'll probably slip a generic 'they show up line' in my next post or something, hopefully can get permission or something. I'd rather her here but... *shrugs* She's busy lots.))

Eyes going wide in surprise at Liliana's brief explanation, Edward was somewhat dumbfounded... somewhat. "A werewolf? As in changes during the full moon, werewolf?" He wasn't unfamiliar with the stories, but he'd never actually considered them to be true. But then.. with Liliana's family and the way this world works... it seemed that anything was possible. However, he frowned a bit as she mentioned his worry of passing it on to his children. Ed sat and seemed to dismiss the notion, "How can he pass it on if he got it from a bite?" That didn't make any sense to him. And if they could breed.. wouldn't werewolves resort to breeding instead of biting other people and passing it that way? No... that whole passing it on thing wasn't logical in his mind, but he could understand Remus' worry. The idea that his 'curse' also came from his previous life made sense too since he still had his automail. Edward could only hope that his brother's own 'curse' brough upon by Ed himself, wouldn't carry through to this life. If his brother ever got here at all, that is. The teen leaned against Liliana in a comforting gesture, his mind starting to realize what kind of danger they might all be in if Remus turned into a wolf thing right here. Er.

Not to sure what to expect, Nahanni seated herself some distance from the family. Though eager to understand, her timid nature was dimmed only so much. At this moment, she was more consumed with anxiety than shyness. She glanced between all the older siblings, noticing the recognition and sad touch in their eyes. She leaned back on her hind legs, wrapping her arms around her upset tummy while tossing a faint glare at Katsumi. Her words always rubbed her fur the wrong way, and Nahann's tolerance was drawing thin. Especially tonight. She blinked as her aunt appeared with Aiden, but otherwise remained silent. Her father's voice then drew her attention, and she listened to his words through Lily with growing shock. Werewolves? She glanced down at her own paws in fear, eyes tearing. One of them....could be cursed? Her small body shivered at the thought, and she closed her eyes and hugged herself tightly, wishing such ideas away.

Ayako blinked angrily at the dark kit's comment and threw a rather angry stare at her. She hadn't quite forgiven her sister for being rude to Hemi, and now she was giving this expression to her whole family. Still, she reminded herself, she's my sister. Shaking it of with a light rustle of her golden wings, she turned to listen to Liliana.
Werewolf? She mouthed silently, eyes widening. She had only read about it before, most of it was plain folklore. So we might be one too? "But...did any of the elder ones get it?" Maybe, maybe not. Really, it was the subject of recessive and dominant genes passed down. or was it?
Ayako returned Hemi's affectionate gesture with a smile and a nuzzle, and her eyes settled on her father instead. He looked worried, she could hardly blame him. She just wished that her mother would arrive. Perhaps it could calm his nerves a bit.

Katsumi knew exactly what werewolves were; loving the strange things like that, but her father? This was all strange for her. Oh wait Vynnessia had mentioned something to that extent somewhere... Katsumi had been ignoring Nessi as usual. "Get off me Hemi!" Katsumi snapped
A silent worry hung in her mind, would she become a werewolf? She looked most like her dad but with mom's Kimono... Would she be the most likely? Katsumi did the best she could to hide the worry from her other siblings. She was stronger than them after all.
Vynnessia caught her father's gaze and pulled out her wand although the dreaded the thought of using it... on her own father of all things. Vynnessia nuzzled Hemi and hugged him "It will be fine.." she whispered kindly to her young sibling. But Vynnessia too wished to console her father. She could feel some how the pain of this within him.
Vynnessia looked to Romulus quickly and then gazed at each one of her siblings. This would be a rough night if one of them turned into a werewolf. They would have to avoid at all costs getting bitten or scratched and on top of that protect the rest of them.
Vynnessia even felt Katsumi worried... The scarf wearing kitsu hugged hemi again and hoped for the best.

Sharp ears heard all as his eyes finally started darting softly around to all his family, every short bit of conversation being swallowed in by the eldest child, in his wake of aggrivation due to the situation that would unfurl in the future. A small part of him hoped that nothing would come to part when the moon rose high overhead the family, but as he watched his allready apparent siblings, he knew inside that there was no way one could have ten children and none of them showing any discomfort. He for one, was normally uncomfortable when this rolled around - if he mentioned it or not.
Feeling the baby of the family award him with a soft nuzzle, he returned the gesture idly, watching as Hemi went to his other siblings to quell their issues, which made the eldest's internal storm settle for the moment. Hemi was such a soft one, and he knew he would forever watch over him, so that he would not be hurt when he was older - gods forbid anyone using that lad's caring personality for their own gain. As he mused over the main issues of his bloodline, he caught the gaze from his youngest littermate, his eyes softened only momentarily before rewarding her with a meek shrug and what would only be considered as a smile, before hearing his father's call for his wand, which is fashioned loosely, laying it infront of him, next to his tablet and writing utensil (It was difficult for one to write and procure any sense of magic with two things in his paws at the same time, so it was more sensible to keep them infront of him until needed.)
Breaking the contact from Nessa, he turned his head slightly so, giving a harsh breath before nudging his eldest sister's side once, wolven eyes glaring at her, as if reassuring himself, before noticing that another had indeed made his way to the spot where the siblings laid, the fullmetal unknown to the silent child. Not paying any true particular interest to the other male though, he subconsciously raised his hackles, almost as if waiting on pins and needles for a reason to jump up and acting - whether he was in control of himself or not.

Spotting his mate and remaining two children, Remus let his auburn haired love nuzzle him and he her before speaking. He glanced at Noko & Aiden. "Nokomis, wake my son please. It is best he hear it with the others."
Liliana nodded but let her father field the questions, not even bothering to make a face at MauCho. "Yes. A werewolf. Even in the wizarding world little enough is known of the condition as those cursed by the bite are usually ostrasized by society or join werewolf society, if you can call their packs that." He spoke as a professor to his class, seeing them but as if he was afraid to get too emotionally involved at that moment. The wizard's voice held no emotion; all that could be seen was in his eyes and he would not meet them long with anyones. As loving as Remus usually was with his children that alone should be an indication that their father was afraid. Afraid for them.
"No "good" werewolf as I might have been considered ever had children in the before I remember. Any children, if known. living with a werewolf pack the Ministry of Magic would not have been able to determine -or did not wish to bother finding out- whether they were born werewolves or given the curse later from either their birth or "adoptive" parents."
He paused, dark eyes falling softly on those gathered one at a time. "None of the firstborn have it. Though..." His eyes drifted to Romulus with gentle sadness. "You feel a tug, don't you, my son? Enough to follow the moon, am I right?" Something Liliana had mentioned about her brother's behavior when Remus was gone hinted at that, though he could not be sure.
Hemi's purr came in faltering sputters as he snuggled into Vynnessia's scarf, offering a happy grin to his mother & other siblings who had arrived. He wanted to go to them as he had each of the others but sensed that perhaps he should sit still, not distract from their father.
"There is no known cure, and only one potion known to abate." He said this as much for Edward and Nokomis as he did for his family. "The Wolfsbane Potion. It weakens me, and yes... it hurts." Pain filled his eyes at the nearly whispered confesion. Remus would rather not suffer his family the pain but neither could he chance one of them being lose if by some horrible twist of fate the cursecould be trensmitted genetically. The notion ate Remus up inside.
"It hurts..." he continued in his normal manner & volume "But when taken I have my sanity, however dulled my thoughts. I do not become the raged and mindless beast I would otherwise be." Robes rustled as he turned to glance at the bottle held by his guardian. "I must take it very soon now. As impressive a lesson it might be for you to see a full grown werewolf at full power I will not chance any of you. This shack behind me can contain me at my worst without damage. To it, not myself, as Nari knows." Eyes and tone softened, falling lovingly on his mate as he remembered the first time she had healed him after a full moon -the one where just before he had told her & Ember of his condition so that they would know why he must leave them. "I can not imagine how hard this might be for you, and I would shelter you from it if I could. But it is part of our family and I will not lie to you."
He paused, breathing deeply. "If any one of you my dear kits change when I do you will be shut with me in there until the full moon is over so that no one else is hurt." At "there" his head indicated the shed, but by the time he had finished speaking his eyes were on the wands of the firstborns, saddened at what he asked of them. To possibly have to blast a shapechanging sibling into a metal prison with their father.
Liliana sniffled but did not lose her stance or resolve, glad to be standing between Romulus and Edward. Hemi nudged towards Katsumi, light blue eyes wide but somehow wanting to make it easier for his sister to send him if somehow it was that he changed.
"I hope we are lucky and the worrying is for nothing... that it can not be passed down by birth. I would rather be safe than sorry, and I would rather you know the truth."
((Next post by me will be the potion drinking. Sorry about the holdup, folks. *hugs*))

Edward didn't really know what to think. He listened to Liliana's father, taking his words with a grain of salt. With his scientific mind, he had doubts... but knew this family was behind his understanding in his 'before'. This world held many strange things that he was unfamiliar with, and it was unsettling to him in more ways than one. But he knew if worst came to worst, that he could protect himself even if he wasn't a magic user. Edward was no pansy after all, so he wasn't really worried... espcially with the throng gathered around. If anything was to happen, he'd be more worried for the younger members of the group. He decided to be silent, as this was beyond most of his understanding and he would learn more be watching and listening. An occasional glance was given to his best friend, making sure she was holding up.
