The ivory skull is clasped in his paw and the digits placed in the right locations to make the deceased beast’s jaw move with ease. Smiling, he moved it to loosen the joints without breaking the jaw. Of course, there is no pleasure in playing with a broken jaw. His paws and maw were littered with blood. He never really took care of his fur at all. The day was like any other, not much to do but sit around and wait. Na-be will come out eventually and until then, he just had to wait. The dark maned lion sighed and dropped the skull with a clatter of teeth coming free. He had lost count of the many times that innocent lives were taken just for his own needs. Blood, the lust of blood was his thirst, it was not only the life source of the prey he caught, but also what drove him further into insanity.
“Poor fool, could not even run from a little lion such as I… that is how it goes, the weakest die to the stronger. The victor punishes the loser. Unfortunately… that was you,” Kinari spoke softly, holding another skull’s jaw to make it move. Looking around with crimson eyes, he could see nothing but bones and grass. With a smile, Reminds me of home.
Bored once again, he looked up into the sky and sighed. He needed to finish this mission and report back to War as soon as possible. He had to find Na-be. Blue… a blue seer found here in the Pride Lands. From what that “warrior” said, carried a necklace of feathers from Mrost. What was most interesting so far was that lying lion, Wahubu… brothers with that large fool? Noble and polite… disgusting, they were definitely not related, no it was impossible. He will not believe it.
His paw slowly drifted up to the cheek that had been hit so many moons ago. He could not forget it. The pleasurable pain was still there. With a grin he made a note… that that female shall be… “rewarded” for her gift.

The green eyed lioness moved herself through the pride lands with little interest in anything around. She looked rather uneasy and moved with anger in her step. She was hurt... upset even at her mate and it showed, oh it showed. She swore to herself as she moved away from her resting place beside the water hole, her head hung low in discontent.
She would lose him and she could feel it. This thought angered her and pushed her to a point in her life that she feared. She didn’t want to be alone… but she wanted to be happy. Why did things have to be so hard for her? She longed to feel love… not this endless bitterness.
It was like the cold war, and not one of the sides wanted to speak.
Slowly Tiah traveled on, sighing to herself every now again.

Kinari stayed in the shadows, watching everything go one around him. Things seemed rather serene as of late. Good, that proved that he had not been detected as a threat to the pride and was just another rogue lion here. Good, this was going well, soon Na-be will be his and War will be content. He looked around with a final glance before heading toward the large pointed rock in the distance when he spotted the secondary target... Tiah, the damned female who hit him before.
A grin passed his maw as he rose up and moved toward her quietly hidden in the darkness of the shadows. Hopefull, she would remember that way would make things so much easier.
She was alone, that fool Adonai was nowhere around. It was nearing sundown. This was his scent, this was his chance to get her.
"Hello there, ma'm. Do you... remember me?"
