How well do you know your flute?

I have a Carnegie by Jupiter, gold lip plate solid silver mouthpiece, solid silver keys. The holes are not open, and I don't have an extra b foot.

My flute? It's a deceased Armstrong piece-of-crap student model. But the one I want is a silver Muramatsu GX with a low-B foot joint, French keys, open holes, thin walls, gizmo and roller keys, engraved gold lip-plate...the works, in other words.

Or a rose gold/platinum Pearl Opera (I think that was the name)...but that particular model costs $70,000. Eheheheh.

My flute isn't really that special, but it works really well.
I might get a blue flute.
And I saw a person before with a purple clarinet.
It looked cool.

ok let me think it has on dint on the mouth piece and another on the head joint. It also has a little noch/dent in the head joint end that I don't know where it came from. Its steel I think, and its Brand starts with and A and ends with a Y and I can never remeber it. it's trill key is missing a cork pad thing and if you push the A flat key down sometimes it brings another key with it and you have to bend it back in place. it has a black hair tie atached to the end piece so it doesn't fall off because of change of temp while marching. My case is blank, black, and plastic (or maybe fiberglass) except for a glow-in-the-dark key chain with my name on it atached to one of the handle rings ((the one closest to the head joint because the other one isn't linked all the way and the key chain would fall off)) and a piece of chewed gum on it that It picked up some where but I can't seem the get all the way off. well.... Its not as great as your gold mouth peice flutes but I love it because it's mine.

Y'mean my pride n' joy?

I have a Lyric model Miyazawa. Would have gone whole hog but the top model is over $5,000, which exceeds my poor wallet. Miyazawa is Japanese, you'd think, but the footjoint distinctly states, "Made in Tawain" so whatever.
My baby's solid silver from top to bottom with a Bb footjoint, offset G, and split E mechanism...excellent sound and technique, but the silver erodes very quickly so my footjoint is constantly trying to wiggle itself off, making adjustments a necessity about monthly...*sigh*...but I still love it!

My first flute was an Accent. It oddly has a better tone than my Gemindhardt. Which is broken at the moment. The springs are shot.....

My flute is my baby. <33 Even though it's secondhand and has more battle scars from that last owner than anything.
$500 Gemeinhardt, closed-key, silver lip plate with a small dent in the headjoint.
confused
I need a new one.

I've had my flauta since 4th grade....it's an Armstong model, and even though it doesn't have special platings and a B footjoint...it pwns. =D Few dents along the body and there's some weather stains up near the keps from marching band. On the last key (on the middle whatever hickey), the flippy attached to it is like...bent to the right. And the foremost rod that keeps the keys together starts pulling up if the screw starts coming out. It may sound bad, but it's actually a really good flute. I always look at the special gold/silver plated ones with holes on the keys in amazement, but I don't think I'd want to give up meh baby. O_< Name's Nierninwa Bzzbzz. ^w^
