RoyAi = Roy Mustang X Riza Hawkeye. In Japanese, abbreviations are formed like so-
Roi Musitangu X Riza Hauku
ai. [But the names are actually English, just rendered in Japanese that way]
For some reason the English fandom liked the name RoiAi for the pairing, since Ai also means 'love', but there are now about ten different names for the same pairing- RoiAi, RoyAi, RoyEye, Mustang/Hawkeye, MustangXHawkeye, Roy/Hawkeye, RoyXHawkeye, Roy/Riza, RoyXRiza, and Office Love, in order of most common usage. The last one is only used on a single site of the same name. Part of the reason for so many names is the fact that Mustang is refered to differently by different characters, and so is refered to in different ways by fans. Hawkeye is nearly always refered to as 'Hawkeye' or 'Chuii' [Liutenent], but some people feel it's proper to use her first name as well. In fact, the only time she was ever called Riza in the manga was by Roy in a flashback in chapter 59. O_O
