Housing District

A little ways from the main city of Kirigakure is a small village area of Japanese Heian-style houses crammed together. This district is usually known as the housing district because of the fact that there is mainly no shops and residential homes can be noticed easily. Most homes are medium sized with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and an extra room for recreation. The grand homes are obviously shown as they have gates to keep intruders away, these homes belong to the wealthier and mostly non-shinobi residents.

The smaller apartments belonging to shinobi are usually given for free in recognition of services rendered. These apartments aren't too big nor do they need to be due to the fact that shinobi usually aren't home anyway. A stone road leads to the downtown area of Kirigakure, the village is past the river and is very floral with flowers and trees in sight. Beyond the homes are farming lands for wheat and other necessities for life.

Here is where all shinobi without ancestral homes or the money to buy apartments downtown live. Students and genin must share apartments, but chuunin and above are free to have apartments for themselves. Each apartment block has 3 floors and each floor has 2 apartments.

Mari walked into the room after coming from the shower. Yawning, she went and sat down at the dinner table. "So...Anything good?" She said a bit coldly to her sister who was cooking at the stove. "Well...It's nothing great...but yeah, almost done." Sari smiled as she turned back to her cooking. Their father was out on business that night and Sari, once again, was forced to cook. Not like Mari would, or could for that matter, cook. She'd end up burning the place down. Sari let out a sigh as she lifted the pot from the fire. Putting it down on the towel she had placed on the counter for a moment, she went through the cabnets to find two bowls. Taking out two blue porcelein bowls, Sari emptied the newly made Udon Noodles she made with Egg Broth and Ginger into them. Bringing the bowls to the table, Sari picked up her chopsticks and began to eat. Disgust could be detected on Mari's face as she looked down at the food that was placed before her. Catching onto her sister's face, Sari sighed and put her chopsticks down. "What is it now, Mari?" Silence was the cold answer as Mari looked up at her sister. "...You know...that I don't like eggs..." Mari's voice was sickening, making Sari get a little impatient. "I've seen you eat eggs before, so don't go whining about it now." Sari then began to eat her noodles again, leaving her sister to stare at the bowl gloomily. "I...think I'm going to go to bed early..." Mari stood up and bowed to her sister, before turning and heading to her bedroom. Sari sent her twin's back a pissy before she heard the door close behind Mari. "Jeez, she's so damn picky."

Sari finished up her noodles quickly and put her bowl in the sink. Returning to the table, she took up Mari's bowl and put it in the fridge. Their father could eat it when he gets home, or something. Sari didn't like to waste food. Sari let a drawn out yawn escape her as she walked to her and her sister's room. Sari entered the room as silently as she could, so she wouldn't wake her sister. She closed the door slowly and sneaked up to her bed. The girl got into the bed quietly and snuggled herself into her fluffy warm covers. Sari kept her eyes open, looking at her sister in her own bed across the room. "...night Mari...stay safe tonight..." Sari whispered to her 'sleeping' sister. Mari opened her eyes a bit to look at Sari. "...You too...Sari-chan..." Sari inhaled sharply, suprized by a response. Her features quickly changed to a more caring look. A smile graced Sari's lips as she closed her eyes and fell asleep. Mari watched her sister for a few minutes before doing the same, and falling sleep soundly.

"No its 5-F actually but its all in the same area. Thank you for walking me, I'll be sure to get to the acadamy early just in case." Vesimine said before turning to leave. "Good bye Sensei, I'll see you tomorrow." She waved ducking out from under her parasol as she walked away. She walked down the hallways leading up to her room 5-A, 5-B, 5-C...finally 5-F and she placed the key in the lock stepping inside. The room was nice and it had a good sized cabnet and shelves so she would have a place to put her poisons as well as a nice bureau to store clothes in. The kitchen was big enough to comfortably move around and the bed looked soft, that was all she really needed.

She walked into the bedroom and stripped down until she was only wearing only her crimson shirt minus the sheer over shirt and stood in front of her bureau which was open so she could watch herself in the mirror. Reaching up to her neck she removed the chain that held her morter and pestal on it walking over to place it on her bed side table before standing once again in front of the reflective glass. Reaching up she pulled the ornamental chopsticks out of her hair placing them brefly in the bureau before working on the ribbons that held her hair back into the five long pletes. Her wavy hair brushed the floor and grabbing the ribbon and the hair pieces she placed them with the necklace and slipped into bed.

Its not morning until you say it is... wink

Mari awoke from her sleep to see the darkness that surrounded the room. She raised her arms high in the air, stretching her limbs before turning and placing her feet on the cold floor. The girl rubbed her eyes before standing up. The room was quiet. As it always was at night. Mari looked at the door that lead to the kitchen and living room area. There was a small line of light at the bottom of the door. He must be home, she thought, as she looked at her sister who was still asleep, cuddled in her bed. Mari smiled at her sleeping sister as she quietly opened the door. It looked like their father was drunk again. Jeez, did he ever take a break? Oh no!!! The tall darkened figure stumbled towards the door Mari was currently looking through. The girl quickly shut the door and held onto the doornob as tightly as she could. She didn't want him in their room, especially not this late at night. Staring at the light beneath the door, a shadow seemed to block apart of it. Showing the man had walked past the door without noticing her earlier. She let out a sigh and returned to her sister's side. "Sari-chan...wake up..." Mari whispered. Sari stirred from her sleep slowly, "Mm...what is it..." Mari looked out the window to see a woman standing in the plaza. "Come on, we're going out for the night. He's here...And he's drunk again..."

Sari groaned as she lifted herself from her comfortable bed. Yet another sleepless night. "Well, where are we going?" Sari said with a yawn, standing up from her sheets. Mari kept her eyes on the person outside. "Well...let's go see what that person is doing. It sounded a bit interesting." Sari moved herself to the window to see what it was Mari was talking about. "Hm...I guess...maybe after that we could walk around for a while....Well then, let's go!" Sari opened the window and jumped onto the grass that set just about 2 feet down. Looking behind her, she beckond her sister to hurry. Mari stared at Sari for a moment before folllowing suit. Can't she go through a door for once... The girls walked up to the lady in the plaza. "Who do you think she is, Mari? I don't remember her." All Mari could do was shrug her shoulders as she looked up to the woman.

[[hmmm night bleeding into day, that could work.]]

Star looked about. Quite the crowd had turned out.

She twisted this way and that making it look like she was as fidgedty as a heated cat.

She began to play upon the winds of time a meldoy that went well with this rhyme.

Caught like the devil withiin a string the men could do nothing but swing and sing.

The air bothered her no more, no she was fine. Her eyes adjusted to the grand line.

A line befitting a devil sat before her but there were those that seemed misplaced. Her eyes ran a trace.

From one face to another, she soon found children without their mother.

A grin spread across her lips as she move upon the air like a will-o-wisp.

To the one's known as Mari and Sari she moved, with a slight bow, the mood she did sooth.

"Hmmmm you children seem a bit out of place. What can I do to bring smiles to your face?"

To be sure, to be frank there was more to this prank.

Her mind was alive with evils and twisted pleasures but to these children, she might just shave off a good measure.

To not pollute beyond repair, that was what she tried to spare.

But for now she found glee in the eyes of these two as they all sat near a tree

[[yea I'm sorry about that. I just felt like rhyming last night. Don't know what came over me. nothing happened. Just star being her usual insane self.]]


Star glanced from of the girls to the other. It was strange, in her eyes she saw herself at a younger age and her love Kage. Her mind sliped into thought, wondering where he was at that moment but it soon passed on without a second ideal.

Star nudged the nose of the one who thought she was pretty, obviously she didn't know the girls names so she just grined.

The light of the day began to peak through the clouds and Star took that as her cue to begin to please the crowd. She looked to the girls and beckoned for the two of them to come to join her. "Come now. You two have stayed up past your bedtime just to see my show. It's only proper that I allow the two of you to enjoy it from the front row."

Without their consent, she took the hands of the two girls and dragged them to the center of the audience. "Ladies and gentalmen, I have before you two perfectly normal girls. I've never laid eyes upon them a day in my life but I shall make them my own this very moment. "

With little hesistation, she made a few rapid handsigns, too fast for any of them to distinguish which signs she did. Upon completion, she raised her hands above the two girls heads. To people who had never seen this, they'd be wondering what had happened. Nothing was seen unles you had special eyes.

What was going on was that Star had caught the two girls in her Puppetry Chakra Strings. She meant no ill will by it. It was all in good fun. She began to whisper to the two before she made any move to move their bodies, "Don't worry. I'll take good care of you two ok? Just relax and let me do all the work." With a quick peck to both of the girls cheeks, she began to move their bodies like her own little play things.

"Now then ladies, please tell the audience your names, ages and something special about yourselves." She couldn't control their voices but as they would speak, she would make a perfect motion of her hands to move their bodies to her will. The chipper and more happy sister that had called her pretty would move like she was depressed and angered as she spoke. Where as the quiet, reserved sister would jump around bubbly and giddy a she spoke. This was Star's design and they had no choice but to follow it now.

[[I appologize for the auto. Just figured it'd be hard to get the ball rolling without a bit of a nudge. You can disregard the auto if you don't want her to do this.]]

"Oh me oh my, it' seems your rolls are reversed. You voices sound so different than your body actions. Hmmm how curious, wouldn't you agree folks?" Everyone in the audience laughed a bit and clapped.

There was far more in store for these children this bright morning light. Star began to stand and stood the too of them up. "So you two want to be grand ninja hmmm? I don't know...might be a little hard with you two moving so sluggishly like that..." as she said it, she began to move the girls in a very slow, tired looking sort of way. As if their bodies could give out at any moment.

"Come come now, you two have to be willing to show strength in even the most horrifying of circumstances. This sluggish attitude won't do! Nope nope! Not one bit! Now, ATTENTION!" she shouted it out...but the girls fell about themselves. It was a soft fall although it was orchistrated to look more like the two of them had collapsed from exhaustion.

"Not...what I had in mind...Hmmm now let me see. what can I do to fix this." She stood there, contemplating for a moment. She soon sat down and began to move from one position to the other. At the exact same time, the girls sprang back to life and began to slap each other. Well, it was made to look like they were but in reality, she was moving their bodies to just avoid any damage and mimicing the sound with a special noise maker in her pocket.

"Girls girls! Now now, this is no time to be fighting. Now kiss and make up!" she demanded and just like that, the two sisters lowered their heads in shame and them moved to hug and peck each other on the cheek.

The audience roared with laughter and excitment. They had loved the show and Star and the two sister took a bow. She released them from her hold and smiled, "You two are great sports. Thank you."
