When walking around the ground level of the pagoda, one can not help but find the kitchen. The pagoda kitchen is a chef's dream; it has every kitchen utensil anyone could need. It has multiple ovens, ranges, and refrigeraters within it. within the massive kitchen is a large dinner table that seems to hold every person who lives within the pagoda.

((OK, I'm just taking off from where we left off in the former Guild. Shinta is cooking sausages, Sasha is keeping the food hot, and I'm currently frying up some French toast and making juice))
Lux carefully squuezed each juice orange with the juicer until she had filled a class pitcher with fresh juice. After filling a cup of it for herself, she placed the pitcher in the refrigerator to keep fresh until breakfast was finished. Just in time, Lux turned back to the griddle. The toast was ready to join the rest on the platter warmed by Sasha; Lux carefully slipped the final slices onto the plate then turned off the range. Toast, fruit, juice... anything else we might want? Lux thought to herself as she placed the platter on the table.

Dyanel appeared inside the kitchen and looked around. She smiled at the people.
"Hey guys, smells delicious," she remarked heading for her usual cupboard.
She got a bag of donuts and walked to a stool taking a seat on at the counter. She opened the bag and popped on in her mouth. So she sat there eating donuts.

Dyanel left the kitchen while throwing away the bag of donuts. She disappeared with the thought of the roof in her mind.

Shinta shook his head and laughed, watching Dyanel. "It is a wonder that such a being as Dyanel seems to survive on little more than Donuts."
Dishing up the last of the food onto serving plates, the red-haired swordsman went to sit beside Sasha, sensing she was feeling lonely.
"Something on your mind Sasha-dono?" He asked.

"Oh I'm fine don't worry about it Shinta-sama...it's nothing" ::not wishing to ruin the cheerful mood in the kitchen she tried to hide her feelings behind a light smile as she placed the last of the cups on the table::... ...She sat down once more and watched the Sakura blossoms gently fall off of the trees outside the kitchen window only to be caught in the breeze..
"Two and a half years....and ten days today.." she said still watching the blossoms outside.. "That is how long I've been away" she said looking at Shinta who was now sitting next to her..."I haven't the slightest idea of how everyone is back home...or even if there is a place for me there anymore"...
::her bangs over-shadowed her eyes as she looked down at her hands which were now grasping a piece of her clothing::
.."I had left with the notion that I would find what I was looking for..and was too proud to admit that I might have needed help..and instead got myself lost...only to find an end at the pagoda...I feel guilty now for leaving my mother alone like that...for failing my sister...for being a burden on you Shinta-sama...and many other things"....she said quietly..
::Sasha hadn't realized that she had voiced her thoughts to everyone who might have been listening in...until it was too late..::
..After taking a heavy breath she quickly blinked and looked up at Shinta..."I'm sorry...I shouldn't be so selfish..you guys probably have encountered bigger problems than this...I can deal with a little homesickness"..she said smiling..and then "bubbled" another plate of food that had been placed on the table...
((only 2 days and so much angst eek is that even healthy??..oh and I added on a bit more to it..so now it makes sense ^^))

Joining the other two at the table, Lux helped herself to some French toast and a refill of juice before turning to smile sympathetically to Sasha.
"Everyone needs to experience life on their own sometime or another. It's a natural way of life and will often lead us through the experiences that shape our souls into the beings we were meant to be. More often than not, those experiences are unhappy ones, but life has a funny way of teaching us best through bad experiences, rather than good ones," Lux said quietly, thinking of her own learning times. She'd stared life down eye to eye rather early on but she had won that staring contest and had several scars to prove it.

Shinta nodded, "You are very right Lux-dono. However, life is not truly meant to be lived alone. Many try to do so, and bear the scars of their experience."
Shinta smiled and bent down in front of Sasha so that he could look her in the eye. "Sasha-dono this one needs to tell you something. First of all, this one does not consider you a burden, but rather a blessing. Your forgiveness is a gift second only to the love that this one received from your sister."
His face hardened slightly. "Nothing you could have done would have prevented her death, so don't feel that you failed her." He paused to look at the smiling figure of Natsuko nearby and brightened. "This one would protect you with his life. That said, there is nothing selfish with feeling lonely or homesick. All wanderers know that pain well."
The swordsman paused, thinking. "If you wish, this one would accompany you to your former home to see if your mother is well. You are fortunate to have such a thing as a 'home' to go back to. Know also that you have another home here, in this pagoda."
((If you say yes than I suppose we would create a new thread for it. I don't think the mods will mind.))

Lux listened with half her mind to Shinta and Sasha's conversation, but most of her attention was on her own thoughts. When Sasha had mentioned leaving to find something, it reminded Lux of her own journey before stumbling across this place. Of course, she wasn't sure if she still should, considering there were people out there ready and waiting to kill her... Well, that's never stopped me before, Lux thought wryly. I'm not going to accomplish anything by just sitting here, and I need to know what mistake Uncle made. Even if he's dead, he'd still never forgive me for not trying to exonerate his name. Lux absently nibbled on her sausage as she contemplated her choices. If I stay here, I get peace, quiet, and as close to a home as I've ever had. If I leave... well, I get my life back. Lone Wolf hunting down her prey, she thought. Lone Wolf was a fitting nickname; Lux was one who liked to work alone. She hadn't had much alone time in this place; were she to leave she'd have plenty of time to herself. Choices, choices, she thought.

Xitha entered the kitchen to a smell of a delicious, home-made breakfast. As she sniffed the pleasant smells of french toast and sausages, she noticed Shinta, Lux, and a girl she had yet to meet sitting around the dining room table.
Smiling brightly at the others, she joined them at the table.

He enters silently and no one seems to notice Samurai X sneaking of with some fruits in a basket. Shiney fruits that are so clean they dont smell. HMMM... Fruits he thinks as he makes an exit with the perfect fruits of victory. As he gets down the hall alittle he starts to eat them with out tasting even a bit of the sweet juices that were in them. He scarfed three of them down before he even noticed they were wax fruits. Now he began his journey to find a bathroom to remidy he situation.

..She couldn't escape those eyes could she?...nor did she want to... ::She couldn't help herself..and in an instant she was hugging Shinta..with a huge genuine smile spread across her face, brightening her features...this unexpected action made the red-haired swordsman give off quite a peculiar sound::.... ~After a moment she let go..and blushed a little at her own impulsiveness..
..Trying very hard to get her burning cheeks under control she looked at him and said.."Thank you Shinta-sama...I don't know how you manage to always say the right things...you are truly one of a kind..and regardless of what happened in the past...I am really lucky to have met you...It would be great if you could come with me to see my mother...and with you by my side I doubt I would get lost again!" ...::saying this she felt the cold begin to be replaced by warmth..and she felt Natsuko's smile upon her::.. :Her own smile didn't leave her face as Sasha finally let her tummy have it's way and loaded her plate up with french-toast and sausages..she decided to keep her table manners this time...and not just snarf down all of the food::
She then turned to Lux who seemed to be deep in thought and said cheerfully "Ms. Lux thank you very much you are very right as well...and this food is great, better than anything that I might have put together...if you want I would love for you come with us to my village..it would be nice to travel in a group for a change...so will you join us?please?"....

Lux shook off her daydreams and considered Sasha's idea. Travelling in a group... well, that would be a first, she thought. As she considered the plan she found herself more and more inclined to join the other two. She had found that she genuinely liked the two, and would not be averse to spending more time in their company. I can at least go with them to Sasha's village, then find my way to Issa, she figured.
"I actually have something to do, myself. I'd be happy to accompany you and Shinta to your hometown; from there I'll probably head back to my own..."
Lux frowned very slightly at the idea of returning to Issa. She hadn't been there since the night she left her uncle's home; she had no idea what she would find. Issa was the one place she had called home, and never was she more relieved to leave any other place. Lux could see how excited Sasha was at the prospect of seeing her mother again; Lux wished that she could face her tasks with just half that happiness. Unfortunately for her, there was no joy in what she needed to do. Turning to face the other two, she said with a smile, "I generally do not travel with others, but your idea sounds quite pleasant," she said brightly. "However, I will only travel with you under one condition, Sasha," Lux said with a stern voice and expression but sparkling eyes. "You must stop calling me Ms. Lux! We are all equals here," she laughed.
Turning to the new arrivals, Lux gave Xitha a cheerful smile. She noticed that the man standing next to her, who had introduced himself as Tochi, was the man she had seen by the lake, passed out on top of another woman.
"Hello, Tochi was it? The last time I saw you you were in no condition to meet people, so it's nice to meet you under happier circumstances. I'm Lux," she said pleasantly.
