Juke had never been this far out into the water before. It was high tide, and the bubbly waves had completely submersed his usual sitting spot. He had grown attatched to the rocky out cropping; it was host to a nice little tide pool, which had had been growing fond of wasting away his days staring at. There was just so much life in that one little hole. At that moment, however, it was about half a meter under sea water. Naturally, the male was devestated. What was he supposed to do now? Sitting there in the water, on his precious rock, he couldn't see any of the little critters that were usually in the tide pool. He looked around the beach helplessly, searching for any signs of life. There was nothing, save for the gentle swish of the sea and cool, salty breeze.
He pouted and turned around, sloshing back up to the dry sand. His coat was wet and unflattering, his mane near the point of tangling, but he didn't care. For the first time since coming to this paradise, he was utterly bored. What he really needed right then was a movie and popcorn. Unfortunately, these things don't cater to the feline world, and so he had nothing to do. Staring blankly out at the horizon, he sighed and let his head droop onto his paws.

Oh, wait a minute... Muujiza stopped at the edge of the water, looking completely and utterly confused. Did the beach... shrink? She put a paw out. Ten... She looked back. Ten steps? It was definitely smaller. Or was it? So absorbed into the problem was she that she didn't even notice that Juke was sitting nearby looking dejectedly out toward the horizon.
The lioness backed up those ten steps to where the beach began, and strode forwards again, determined to prove herself wrong. One, two, three, pause. Four, five, six... It was then that Muujiza decided to look up. And it was then that she caught sight of her beloved Jukers. Her ears perked and the issue with the beach immediately slipped from her mind. Now, she hadn't seen Juke in some time! "Ju-uke!" She called out to her friend in a singsong voice that reflected her happiness at seeing him.

Puberty was at it's worst for Sikulu. The adolescent-turning juvenile tripped constantly over his legs, his mane, which was growing, constantly got in the way of his face, and overall, he felt like leaping into the sea and washing away this growth spurt from hell.
Just as he was running to the sea, he skidded to a halt. Lions?! He couldn't afford to be seen this way; it wouldn't bode well later on during his rule. Not to mention there was a female there, and he always had to look his best for them. Putting a paw to his chin, he thought up a way to sneak by them without gaining too much attention.
Licking the back of the paw and dragging it over his mane, he maintained a sort of half regal, half suave look, just by making his mane look somewhat clean. Quickly, Sikulu began trotting to the sea, casually glancing at Juke and Muujiza. So far, so good! @3@;

The blue lion's ears twitched at the sing-songy voice. That was all too familiar... MUUJIZA. How perfect! His head shot up in the direction of the soothing music, and his eyes brightened significantly. "Jiza, you don't know how happy I am to see you!" He pushed off the ground, sand clinging to his wet fur, and trotted over to the green lioness. He gently nudged her forehead in a warm greeting, and backed up to take a good look at her. He hadn't seen her in a little while, seeing as the pair tended to do their own thing in the paradise like pride. He was so absorbed in his happiness that he wouldn't have noticed the other lion trotting casually towards them if it hadn't been for the change in music.
The constant beat that was always going in his head altered some. It was a tune he had never heard before, but he definately liked. It had a sort of swing to it, and Juke couldn't help but sway his head. He turned his gaze towards the annoyingly high tide. The creator of the tune was there, sure enough, looking as cool as ever. Being the overly-friendly creature that he was, and also being under the influence of intense boredom, the adult called out merrily to the adolescent. "Hello there!" Surely, the teen was from the pride. What else would he be doing way out here?

"Well, I can see you're bored," She said with a laugh. "Your rock is gone! Or... whatever it is!" She nosed him in return to his greeting and drew back as he stepped back so she in turn could see what he had been up to. "Juke! You're all messy again!" She frowned in mock exasperation. "You just couldn't stay out of the sand for once, now could you?" She was about to brush it all off for him - sand didn't look good against Juke's beautiful teal pelt - when she suddenly caught the scent of another lion. A younger lion. She turned to look over her shoulder, and caught sight of the adolescent lion, whose gangly proportions and half grown mane could only mean he was starting to go into a growth spurt.

Sikulu flinched as he turned to head to the sea; now he had no choice but to reply! Stupid manners.
Turning around, he put on a fake smile to Juke, and nodded. "Hello there!" he said cheerfully. Now he would have to make some light conversation, and then bolt for the waves. Every second that passed made him more and more antsy. "How do you do? My name is Sikulu, and these are the Bahari'mtoto lands. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm in a bit of a hurry."
Perfect! They had no choice but to stop talking while he babbled! Quickly, Sikulu ran at a breakneck speed towards the waves, before diving in. It was an invigorating feeling, the cold water surrounding him. Swishing his head back and forth in the water, he 'washed off' the feeling of growing. He wanted to be a kid forever, but time wouldn't allow that!

"I know!" Juke whined at the mention of his precious rock. "The water ate it up. I can't even see the tide pool at this time of day." He pouted a little and looked down at the sand. The adolescent had begun speed talking, and he wasn't about to be rude and cut him off. It all came out a bit too fast for the blue lion to completely grasp; all he got out of it was that Sikulu was in a hurry. Before he knew it, the white and grey youngster was bounding off towards the waves, which wasn't all that far at all considering the high tide. The situation was a tad confusion, but he brushed it off cheerfully. His temperment had changed now that he had company.
"Isn't he revved up." He mused it, rather than asked. His gazed turned a bit to the green lioness, and then back out to the water where the younger of the trio was bathing himself in salty goodness. "Enjoying your swim?" He called out to the other male merrily. He had not picked up on any vibe from the other that conversation was unwanted, and so he would continue to pursue it.

Muujiza opened her mouth to response, but the adolescent quickly stopped her burst into a bout of speed talking, from which she only mentioned to catch a weird word that sounded like 'sick-loo' and that he was in a hurry. She felt herself start to smile, a confused smile granted, but a smile nonetheless, as he dashed into the water and dove in.
"I never thought I'd see a young lion that excited for a swim," The green lioness remarked with a curious blink. Well now, that really was something. She replayed what had just happened in her head with a grin. Yes, it was awfully cute how this youngster had suddenly dashed into the water. That and the speed talking. At that moment, the lioness wondered why she had never thought to run into the ocean for a swim. She had gone for one plenty of times from the river, but never from the ocean. Perhaps it was what Leboya had said about the water being undrinkable? But that didn't mean that it couldn't touched, simply that it couldn't be consumed. And a swim looked like a good way to chase boredom away.

Lifting his head above the waves in time to hear Juke call out to him, Sikulu quickly turned and nodded briefly, a bit stunned he'd want to converse at such a distance. What an odd pair the two made!
Ducking down a few more times, the young adolescent felt he was clean enough, and began swimming for the shore. As he did this, he noticed Juke's colors, as well as Muujiza's striking green colors. They seemed to match the pride's territory rather nicely.
