Fighting constantly breaks out amongst the clan members, due to anything from wanting revenge to just having a bad day. To prevent costly collateral damage, this area is reserved so members can pummel each other to their heart's content without risking others getting involved.
The entire area is one of the largest areas of the Dark Clan, large enough that even part of a mountain range to be included in the combat zone. There are several different terrains depending on the fighters preference: desert, forest, rocky, swamp, and even snow. The combatants can choose how big they want their combat area to be. They can be sectioned off to any size through the use of force field generators built through out the area. These generators look like tall, smooth, black pillars and have energy shields for themselves to avoid damage from being caught in the crossfire. The towers also serve to observe the combatants and relay the images to a large building just outside the combat area known as the Combat Observatory Station. Other clan members can watch fights from the C.O.S. without risking their own safety. On a number of occasions, someone is critically injury and medical care is required. Therefore a medical response team resides in the C.O.S., ready to aid those in need.
The Arena also permits training, either by yourself or through the use of combat drone specifically designed to whatever level of difficulty you wish. Just ask one of the staff working at the C.O.S.

Rules the Combat Arena
-No killing your opponent, if you want to destroy something use a Combat Drone. -Fighting last until one combatant forfeits or is unable to fight. -No god modding! If you say you injure another player, they have every right to critically injure you. But remember, blocking and/or avoiding all attacks is also god modding. -Play fair and hopefully everyone will have fun.
Tournaments may be held in the future if everyone wants to do it. These tournaments may be one on one, team battle, or free for all. depending on how people want to play. Prizes may be issued, either an imaginary item or ranking for your RP character, or some gold or an item depending on what is available. But that all depends on how well this guild stays active and the number of people involved.
Update 5/12/07 Jourin the Demon will be assisting me in maintaining the Combat Arena thread. Training with the drones was originally thought that the RPer would control both themselves and the drone they are using to train with, but the idea crossed my mind that people would make it too easy and take on dozens of drones at once. To stimulate a real RP combat setting, Jourin or I will be taking the role of "equipment," either by request or that we see that you are abusing the drones you are fighting with.

Combat Arena Equipment
Staff >IMAGE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE< The Staff of the C.O.S. are the main workhorse of the facility. They run and maintain all the services the Combat Arena, totaling in over 500. The members of this staff are cloned and genetically altered human, because of the easy to work with DNA structure. These "humans" have been mind-scrubbed so they're knowledge is limited to solely the facility and following specific orders. Unlike other humans, they are unaffected by dark auras and psychic attacks due to their alterations.
Combat Drone >IMAGE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE< The Drones of the C.O.S. are the primary training device of the facility. Unlike their military-grade counterparts that serve and defend the Dark Clan, these drones have no energy shields. They have a saucer-like shape and hover through the use of an anti-gravity system. Due to their aerodynamic structure, they can move at extreme speeds. They can also change directions in a fraction of a second, proving to be truly difficult and challenging targets. The projectile weapons they are armed with are all energy based, designed to paralyze an opponent rather than kill. There are currently four variants. -Regular: The standard combat unit and the easiest out of all the variants to take down if alone. They are armed with twin-linked, rapid fire energy guns that have a medium attack power and range. They are still incredibly quick so be on your toes. -Long Shot: A sniper variant; This variant prefers to stay far way from the target and fire from a great distance or to stay hidden and ambush its opponent. It is armed with a long range energy rifle mounted on its underside. Close combat is its weakness, but it can move quickly away if a target approaches it. Best used for marksman training. -Destroyer: A heavy weapons variant; This drone has 2 large multi-barreled energy guns. It is essentially a combination of the Regular's rate of fire and Long Shot's fire power. Because this armament is heavy, it slows down the speed of the drone greatly. To compensate, the guns are free to turn 360 degrees like a mobile turret, so it difficult to just try and sneak up on it. It is probably the most devastating of the drones, and inexperienced combatants are only allow to fight one until having proved themselves by defeating it one-on-one. -Melee: For those that wish to get some difficult close combat training. This drone has no projectile armament, only increased armor and upgraded propulsion system. It is designed to rush opponents and will aim to only graze its target. It is designed to train those who want to practice deflecting and destroying quick moving projectiles. This in the most lethal drone since it is the only one designed to actually inflict harm on its opponent.

Loki walks into the COS slowly, his hands on the hilts of his scimitars, looking around for staff. He wandered further into building before seating himself on a balcony overlooking a nice jungle scene. "Hello? Anyone around? I need a drone set up..." He looked around again before reclining and watching the jungle.

After his past ordeals, Zero want to relieve some stress with some training. He then saw a familiar looking figure sitting on one of the balconies. Zero walked up behind the man, "Well, well, well. If it isn't Loki. How are you old friend?"

Zero cocked his head slightly to the side. "You just got here and you already know that? I guess it's to be expected, though the role is only temporary the way I understand it." The 9 foot tall warrior walked up beside Loki and stared into the combat area. "So what brings you to the clan, Loki?"

"You know how I am. Wander till I find a place to settle down for a bit. Well... I ran into your tower, and here I am. You know how my life goes... I rarely settle down for long. How are things in your world?" He tossed a peanut into the jungle and stood up, spreading his wings to stretch.

Zero turned to Loki, then looked over at a couple staff that were moving files from one area to another. The mind-scrubbed staff only knew about running and maintaining the facility and had no real individuality as others would expect. They can think for themselves, as long as it follows orders or is for the good of the facility. "Things have gone from active to dull in a surprisingly short period of time. And I came her to blow off some steam from one of my last ordeals."

"Gonna beat on a drone for a bit? That was my plan. Been a while since I beat anything to death... You know how hard it is for me to... well... die.... kinda impossible." He tossed another peanut at the jungle.

"You may not be able to die but we could always set up a training sim with a difficult to complete objective. So even if you aren't able to die, you can still fail to complete the objective." A Staff walked up to Zero and handed him a data-tablet. He took it and started skimming over the information on it.

" Bah! You know me better than that, I thought! I dont want to do objectives.. I want to destroy things!" An evil smirk crossed his face as he tossed another peanut into the jungle. "Want a peanut?" He looked up and offered the bag to Zero.

Zero laughed, holding up his hand to deny the offer. "Of course I know you want to destroy things, but where is the challenge if there is nothing at stake? I guess I can construct something eventually that goes far beyond the common drone, that will be safe for others to fight as well, but all in due time." He tapped on the data-tablet a couple times to remind him to come up with some more "equipment".

Loki grins and tosses more peanuts into the jungle. "Might have to let me make a drone special for myself... One that is dangerous to others." He looks back at Zero and a wicked grin crosses over his face. "Might be fun."

"Only for you then. I know how well you can fight. Shouldn't take too long to come up with something." Zero watched at how may peanuts Loki had been tossing, figuring that he must be bored, "Having fun?"
