Okay, here's the scenario. There's a guy at my school that's my friend, he's an atheist, and he's really smart. I am also smart, but he holds more knoledge in his brain than I do. He can also think MUCH faster than me. If I ever try to talk about God to him he comes at me with a bunch of stuff that he says, "Why do you believe in Jesus?" He tell him and he says, "No, besides that, why do you believe in Jesus?" I tell him the same answer is because he died for my sins and if I believe he did that then I will go to heaven. He also has this conception that ALL Christians are sheep. I know this isn't true, but I remember in the Bible that Jesus talks about us being his sheep and lamb. This doesn't help my situation much and I haven't mentioned this part of the Bible to him, yet since I know it will hurt my chances in converting him.
The basic idea I'm getting at for advice is: I need some advice to help confront the guy to tell him that all Christians aren't sheep.

he's just taking this literally. when Jesus say that we are his sheep and he is the sheperd, it just means that he is our leader and we follow him because he is our savior. and next time when he asks you why you believe in Jesus, question him back. Why does he not believe?

My dad said to ask him what year it is. 2007. 2007 what? A.D. Which means, "After Death." But B.C. means, "Before Christ." Not other religious gods or idols like B.B. "Before Buddha." Just something I made up and thanks for the advice. whee

Why does it matter if he thinks you're just a "sheep"? It doesn't.
But, anyway, you could make the same claim about his following of a belief system like atheism.

lol Well i think i can try to help you here smile So he is smart and atheist. Does he happen to believe in evolution by any chance? if he does then i got loads of advice to help you! i need your answer first smile i dont wnat to write a bunch of stuff that might mean absolutely nothing to u lol

o yeah.. it is not you who converts someone to christ it is actually god. you cant argue someone in to heaven, it is god who changes the person's heart so they will listen. usually people arent willing to listen to the word before they suffer the consequences of their actions. smile so just pray for ur friend everyday! im having a similar problem(er kinda) with my sister.

sweet_angiel o yeah.. it is not you who converts someone to christ it is actually god. you cant argue someone in to heaven, it is god who changes the person's heart so they will listen. usually people arent willing to listen to the word before they suffer the consequences of their actions. smile so just pray for ur friend everyday! im having a similar problem(er kinda) with my sister. same problem here (kinda as well) with half of my family. I agree with sweel_angiel we are god's voice to our nation, but only those who are listening can hear our voice. we give our testiment, but it is up to God to open their ears to hear it.

One tactic you could try is telling him about figures in history who are/were believers AND very intelligent. Worth a try. (ex. Albert Einstein)

Anno Domini is Latin for "The year of Our Lord" Our Lord referring to Jesus. Don't worry what some Atheist believes. You know in your heart that Christ is Lord and that he loves us. Don't trouble yourself with someone who has rejected God for he will be judged one day. I would personally say something to the effect of, " The strong have faith to follow their shepherd and the weak stray and fall behind."
