how about this one (blatently stolen from a star trek episode and another Starfleet group (not in gaia tho))
you're in a ship in an uncharted section of space you suddenly catch something weard on sensors... you notice that your ion trail is dividing and then doubles about 500 meters off the split of the trail. you advise the captain and relece barrion particles which bounce off and you realize that your being followed closely by a ship in cloak.... what do you do?
in sl starfleet version we ended up destroyed but lets hope it goes better here sweatdrop

What if the time setting is after the current movie, so we can do whatever we feel like without destroying the plots already set in place and whatnot? Since's its and Alternate Universe, pretty much anything can happen.
Thus, I suggest we grab spots on the Enterprise, and join the new crew as they start their mission: as they are exploring the Planet Delta Trilium, they receive word that several ships, federation, klingon, romulan, and vulcan alike are being destroyed without warning by an unknown adversary: the only hint is 'the invisible ones'. Only one starship managed to survive, but with its Captain, senior officers, and most of the key witnesses dead. We can either play real or made-up characters.
We can also do a combination of our two suggestions. biggrin What do ya say?
