[[A Poem I had to write for english homework.. I was ranting on the president and/or the people who lived way before us iin the 17 and 1800s.]]
If I could grant you one wish, The only wish you have, It would mean the end of a race. You’ve wished for an end to the pesky problems, But you’ve only created more.
If I could grant you that one wish, The earth would be nothing more, Than a pile of destruction, filth, and rubble. You’ve wanted this to end for so long, But you don’t think of the consequences.
If I could grant you one wish, The wish you’ve always wanted. The human race would be woodchip. You’d be throwing us into a fire, and letting us burn. I mean, after all of this is over, you’ll finally understand, That it was your mistake. You let us pollute our country, pollute our world, Pollute our own water, air, and food.
If I could grant you one wish, It’d be to take it all back. Take it back to the prehistoric era, Back when the world was cleaner. You’d live it all over again, And everything would be happily ever after.
If I granted you that one wish, The one I’ve always wanted. The world would be a better place. Let the animals live, Let them not become extinct, And make peace, not war.

Wonderful poem. heart Although, my damn republican side is screaming "sometimes war is necessary" but this isn't a political discussion, is it? *smacks down political side of me* HA! Take that... Anyway, I love it. biggrin What I love about this poem is the fact that it expresses your point of view on things. Yes! That's exactly what poetry is all about! Expressing yourself! You don't have to express only feelings, but views too! I applaud you! mrgreen
