i was wondering if anyone else around here goes to shows and likes to get a little down and dirty or just hang out.

mine:
- i went to warped tour on july 6th and got in pits for The Starting Line, Rufio, Dropkick Murpheys, Thrice, Senses Fail, Fall Out Boy, and so on.
at the SL stage i got like 4 crowd surfers land right on top of me, at the Rufio set, i ended up tossing a girl for crowd surfing. She came back to me and um...."sat" right on my face and knocked me down.....that was pleasent to say the least mrgreen
i also got this 300 lbs guy at the dropkick murphey pit run right over me then trip and fall on me....that wasnt pleasent. i came back with wicked sun burn and a sore body.

-i also went to a local show 2 days ago and a friend nailed me in the jaw while in the pit. all i remember was flying then skidding. My friend who was playing bass onstage told me he saw me fly the entire dance floor and skid about 5 to 10 more feet (rougly around 25 feet lol)
i got back up and my jaw hurt so i pushed it back. it hurt so bad. i found out i dislocated it and popped it back in. i never noticed except for my jaw being sore (its all better now though)

it was all worth it cause it was wicked fun.

if anyone else has some stories about shows and who they say or what they did, post them here.

Iiii... haven't been to any shows, since '02.

That was when I worked backstage at Ozzfest.

Was also my first mosh pit experience. It wasn't great, but I had so much fun. XD

I've been to a few small concerts and only one mainstream one in my life...and everytime I see people moshing or whatever I think one thing..."Not me...no matter how much you paid me." I understand why people do it. I respect it. But not me. I guess it is partly because I am a big girl and have been taught to be careful around other people...not to hurt them and whatnot. Also it is partly because if I chose to let out all of my anger in a physical fashion...around other people...I think someone might get seriously hurt. sweatdrop Not a good idea. Also...I don't wanna get hurt. If someone punched me or grabbed me inappropriately... evil ...it's on! *ahem* rolleyes Not to mention...I guess I am really conscious about my appearance. I can't dance to techno. I headbang to rock music...averagely. I can't scream. And I probably wouldn't look right moshing... sweatdrop

thats why i love going to shows and palying my guitar. that way i can let out all that anger and put into something constructive and not hurt anyone either. even in a mosh pit im careful cause i dont really wana hurt anyone i just want to have a good time. 3nodding

Mosh pits mainly exist as a vessel for violent action and biochemical weapon testing. The flashing, disorienting lights, the throbbing, earbleed inducing music, the crowdsurfers that some how always manage to fall when they reach you, the dehydrating drugs and $20 a peice water bottles, the violent collisions.

Granted, I have never actually BEEN to a mosh pit. That's how I'm keeping it. If I went in their I'd be smashed apart or ripped to shreds or sumfin. Anyway, I hate concert music, and I can't stand dancing. the only possible reason would be to unleash my blood anger on other people, and that would be pointless because I hit like a girl and they'd hit back, I can only really burn it off by clawing, biting, throttling and strangling, and that it kind of hard to do without drawing negative attention, even in a mosh pit. >>

true fuz. but i think the first paragraph you mentioned sounds more like a slipknot pit where they all purposefully try to kill each other.

no one really expects the entire mosh pit to put thier hand oever each other shoulders and recite the chorus of a bands song. lol thats what happened at a Dropkick Murpheys pit. true comradery for people you dont even know.

hitting girls = still no no in a mosh pit. occasionally itll happen but its all completely by accident. then again only the type of girl whos crazy or can handle herself will jump in (like watching a 5'2'' asian girl trample a 6'5'' drunk irish guy....that was awesome.)

The last time I went to a concert was a sit down concert featuring Jann Arden...she's wicked funny and I love her voice, and that was last year sometime.

Before that it was a few years ago *I was still in highschool* and I went to a No Doubt concert and a year or two before that I went to the Alanis Morisette concert that also featured Our Lady Peace. I had a great time, except for some guy standing directly behind me, subtly trying to push his manhood against me eek sweatdrop ...thankfully a big hulk of a man came to me and said "Is this guy bothering you?" and I said "A tad...but the best way for him not to bother me is for us to switch places" and that's exactly what he did. You can meet some really nice people at a concert smile

I've never been a mosh pit and I don't think I ever will, it's just not my thing.

I've never really been to a show. At least not one with popular bands.

The Hub in Fullerton used to have bands playing there all the time before they shut down. sad

I went to see The Brass Knuckle Choir in Kansas City with a friend one time. It was my first time seeing an actual 'mosh'. Far more violence than I expected. Someone even set some kid's pants on fire. xd Funniest damn thing ever.

After reading these fun experiences, I think I want to go out and discharge some random onion gas and caustic fluids into the crowd. The hateful bastards deserve it, I need to debilitate them before they can kill me. o_o
