I though I could try to gather atleast some sources of illustrations of the primarchs, people are of course free to as they want, but hopefully will stay to the main characteristics of the chosen primarch. As there are limited pictures of all of them I can suggest to try to get the Horus Heresy artbook for more inspiration.

Also don't forget about Lexicanum, your own Wikipedia specially for Warhammer fantasy or 40K.

Shin's comment: This illustrates Angron and one of the Devourers, the bodyguard of angron, and as I know their armour recembled eachothers, so this might be alot of help to whoever chooses to convert angron.

Shin's comment: Horus in his terminator armour, sadly picture from the heresy itself, but as a loyalist he'd look like this but less "chaosy" so would say, remove the spikey star thingies around the eyes on the armour, remove the heads/skulls etc, and he'd be fine, a tips is to use the Talon of Horus from the Abaddon miniature as it's Horu's lightning claw.

Shin's comment: Golden armour, blonde semi-long hair, sword and wings and you have a nice model for him.


Leman Russ:
Check the space marine collectors guide archive, he's in there.

Shin's comment: It's pretty easy to create russ, just look at him and make a newer look for him.

Shin's comment: Proud, elegant and beautifull. A tips for the wings he's supposed to have here and there on his armour is to use the Aquilla wings from the Vehicle accessory sprues.

Shin's comment: Terminator armour and powersword atleast, and I think the moustache makes him look sturdy, so why not let the model have it too?

Shin's comment: Black armour, white robes, and either wearing or carrying the winged helmet, there should be wings for whis available in the Dark Angels box now, ot you could use the wingd on King Alriks helmet from Warhammer Fantasy.

Shin's comment: If you are to model a primarch with power armour with a specific mark this is where you can look at the armour types (I'd suggest using armour of MKVI and down unless creating Emperor's Children primarch Fullgrim as they were the first legion before the heresy to use the Imperial Eagle on their armour).

okay I need some help I found a head I want to use for Rogal Dorn, if you look at the space marine terminator conversions in the US Games Workshop you can see it Click here. I want this head, I'm pretty sure it is from a Warhammer Fantasy model but I can't find it. Any help would be great.

Err Battlewagon is failing me they don't seem to sell that head.

Thank you now I know what I'm looking for.

Trying to build this guy. Its not going well, as I'm pulling the helmet off the midget and the head off the old DA chapter master model for the base of the figure, then messing with arms. Its ending up as a crud load of modeling saw and exacto-knife work, and I've even had to pull out the jewelry saw, bogging down the conversion significantly. *will post pics when the model is together, then when primed and again when painted*

Why cut off the helmet when you can chop off the head from Azrael and put on a normal marine helmet with wings?



Anyways, my stuff-gathering is about to start soon, and I got a rather splendid idea for Alpharius, can't wait to start... >w<;;;

Thus as there's not even pictures of him in the Horus HEresy books I'll have a bit more freedom in my modelling part. o:

I sneakily started out converting the chestplate for Alpharius... >_>;;;

The greenstuff and Chaos Warrior chestplate was just too welcoming... xD;;;

But the rest of the gathering is going well as I have the other stuff I need on other models... this meaning my favourite thing... dissassemble... ;D
