Parvana walked along the side walk, looking around in the bright spring sunshine. She skipped humming softely, on her way home for the day. Her wings and dark purple hair shimmering in the bright sun, a pair of torn up jeans and a tshirt.

She stopped suddelny seeing a flash of light blue, her eyes going wide. Could it really be? She hadn't seen him for so long. Vana dived behind a bush feeling something like a stalker as she watched the boy acrossed the street. He was bigger... older... but yeah!

She jumped out from behind the bush running acrossed the street, giving the boy a full body tackle rolling with him into the grass until she sat on top of him. "FLITCH! I can't believe it's you! You grew, you look great!" She giggled as she looked happily down at him.

It was a typical day so far for the young Sin'- wake up, roll out of bed, trip over Iyachtu (who had lately grown fond of sleeping just outside his bedroom door), shower, dress, eat breakfast, and then do whatever task was laid out before him. It was usually to keep an eye on the plethora of younger siblings, but today he found himself free to run along as he pleased, and he'd decided it was an excellent time to go and visit the book store. After all, he'd had a good deal of money piling up from his time at the library, and he always liked to visit Niiran's place. Now it was back home, books tucked safely away in his bag whilst he munched cheerfully on one of the crackers that the feline anthro had sent home with him.

Ah yes, it was a nice normal day... until something crashed into his side, bowling him over and sending him tumbling artlessly into the grass. He flailed wildly at first, his glasses knocked off in the tumble. Yet when the cry of his name in a familiar voice reached his ears, Flitch stopped this thrashing, blue eyes wide. Waaaaaitaminute. He knew the voice. He hadn't heard it in a long time, but he still knew it.

And there was no mistaking that purple hair...

"Parvana?" He said her name slowly, but as soon as he did, his face split into a wide grin. "PARVANA! It's been forever!"

Sliding out from beneath the girl, Flitch retrieved his glasses, setting them once more upon the bridge of his nose. Now that he could see again, he could appraise her properly. "You grew," he commented with a smile and an approving nod. "You look really good, Parvana. Really pretty."

Laughing, The blue-haired Sin' sat cross-legged in the grass, grinning at one of his oldest and most favorite of friends. "So what have you been up to? It's been ages..."

Parvana giggled, sitting up on her knees as she looked over at Flitch. Her wing beats going from slow to rabided to slow again. It felt like tears wanted to well up in her eyes as she looked at her old and most loved friend. Was it just relife that he still knew who she was?

"Umm." She shurgged, "Not much. I have been mostely staying home learning to play my flute and writing music and stuff. I haven't done to much of anything." She pushed the hair that had fallen away from it's clip out of her face. Still so giddy that she back and forth.

"What about you? What have you been doing? I'm sorry I haven't seen you much in so long. I've missed you so much. I bet you have had alot of adventures. Or read about a bunch of really nifty places."

Flitch's response came with his usual easy grin. Yes, he was excited to see Parvana, yet he was rarely one to allow himself to get worked up these days. "I've been fine," he admitted with a nod. "Busy, though. Lots of brothers to watch.

"Buuut," he added cheerfully, "today's my day off! We should do something." Why not? They hadn't seen each other in ages, and he had lots of catching up to do with his friend.

Parvana stood, grabbing his hand pulling him to his feet. "Yes. We so have to do something." Looking around tapping her finger to her chin trying to figure out what they could do that would be lots of fun. She shrugged and just picked a direction, keeping her hand in his as they started walking.

Vana looked over at him, nuddging his shoudler. "So you have any idea where to go? Somewhere fun? Like a park or something? I think there is a shrine thingy not to far away from here." She pointed in the direction that the shine she saw in passing.

Gratefully accepting Parvana's outstretched hand, Flitch rose. As he listened to Parvana's suggestions, he idly brushed off the dirt from his shirt, his hand quickly going to his back to make sure that none of his books had fallen out in the tumble. Once satisfied that they were all in place, he cocked his head curiously.

"A shrine?" he echoed. "That sounds neat." He'd seen the one Parvana mentioned in passing, but he had never really investigated it. Spirituality was never his thing... but with a friend, it could be fun poking about. Especially with someone as imaginative as Parvana. It seemed like an adventure was almost guaranteed.

Giving the sherbet girl's hand a soft tug, Flitch started to move off in the indicated direction, his grn wide and his eyes sparkling. "C'mon, let's go! Maybe we'll be able to find something fun to do there!"

Parvana grinned, happy that Flitch hadn't been upset with her for loosing touch for awhile. She babbled about her family, chattering at a pretty fast pace. Stuff about her brothers and sisters, that they had moved into a new house with Auntie Rayne and Yuki and all of thier family. And it was nice but very busy.

Her voice died as they got to the intrance to the shrine, laterns and banners hanging all over dancing in the breeze. White string lights laced threw the trees and shrubs. All kinds of booths and people was on the inside of the court yard, people laughing and playing games, eating good smelling food. "What is going on?" She whispered her eyes huge.

Listening to Parvana's chatter with an amiable sense of attentiveness, his head bobbing sometimes in a nod, and a comment or question inserted in when he felt the need for one, which was rare. Mostly it was simply listening. Yet that was fine. Flitch liked to listen, and as little as he knew of the people Parvana chattered happily about, it was nice to see her so animated and bubbly. A refreshing change from home.

At the arrival of the temple, the fish Sin' arched a blue eyebrow, head tilted in curiosity. What indeed?

"Looks like a celebration of sorts," he replied with a shrug. After all, didn't celebrations have events such as this? Booths and food and such? Whatever it was, it looked like a lot of fun. "Hey," he said. "Let's go in. I've got some money, and it looks like fun..."

Her dark eyes looked over all the people and thigns do and then nodded, grinning excitedly as she followed him in. "Momma gives me some money every week now, so I have some money too." She grabbed his hand as they moved threw the booths, so she wouldn't get spreated from him.

Her eyes widned as they past a booth full of differnt kimonos, she tugged on Flitch's hand to get his attion. "Can we go look in there?"

At the tug on his hand, Flitch's head turned curiously. Ooh, kimonos. It was almost startling to look at all the various colors and patterns the kimonos held. It was like looking at a hundred rainbows weaved into fabric.

He nodded. "Yeah, let's look." After all, a good number of the people attending this little festival had kimonos of sorts on already. Why not try some on just for fun? It wouldn't hurt.

Vana squeed in happiness diving into the huge selection of kimonos. Giggling as she found several nice ones, finding her way back to Flitch handing a couple to him. "Here, try on one of these. This one is about the same color as your hair, and it has fishes on it too!" Her jet black eyes sparkled and danced as she pointed to the one on top. Her crystal wings catching the light of the lamps as they fluttered slowly.

A fish pattern! How appropriate. Laughing in childish delight at Parvana's find, he carelessly tossed the kimono over top his clothing. It was a bit big, he found, but not noticeably so. plus it was cute. And it had fish! Grinning, he twirled to show it off to Parvana.

"How do I look?" he inquired. Striking a pose, he laughed. "Pretty neat, huh? Now one for you..."

It only took a few seconds of investigating the racks before he found the one fit for Vana. Pink, and patterned with butterflies. A good fit, if he didn't say so himself. The butterflies even looked like her in a way.

Smiling happily, he handed her his finding. "Here! Your turn."

Her eyes went huge as she looked at the garment, her hands moving slowly over it. With a happy squeek she hugged him tightely before twriling around putting it on. She stopped in front of the mirrior and frowned. It didn't have any place for her wings yet so it wouldn't fit right until she took it home and had her Mom alter it.

A warm chuckle sounded behind them as a sweet middle aged lady stepped up. "You shouldn't look so said. It is a festival.... Here, let me see that. I think I can fix it for you." She held out her hands to Parvana so she could take the kimono.

Parvana lifted her eyebrows not so sure, looking over at Flitch, not sure if she should hand out the perfact kimono he had picked out for her.

Laughing and clapping his hands in delight at the kimono, Flitch was surprised at how... well... good it looked on Parvana. Yet at her sudden frown, Flitch couldn't help but blink in surprise. it took him a moment to remember that there were no slits for her wings.

Yet it seemed that the woman was eager to help out. At Parvana's questioning glance, Flitch chose to nod. Why not? If the robe was damaged, he could always pay for it and find her another one (though this one DID look so good on her!). "Why not?" he chirped in reply. "Go for it, Vana!"

Parvana slowly slipped the kimono off and handed it to the woman, her fingers linguring on it but finally stepping back away. Would she really get it back? Or was the woman the kind of shop owner that didn't like kids and was only trying to trick them so she could get them out of her shop?

The dark haired woman wore a plain browen kimono, and gestured for them to follow her. "Both of you can come and watch. Besides I need to mesure your wings child." Her soft voice was very cheerful as she spoke relaxing her some.

The Sherbert Sin'aeis slowly followed the woman to a little ways in the back, where she sat down at a small table, taking out a mesureing tape and mesueing the girls's wings before lifting up the pink kimono taking a long look at it.

The shop woman suddenly smiled brightly, taking a pair of scissors making slits in the fabric, then taking a needel and thread sewing on them some before lifting it up and motioning for Vana to come closer, helping the girl on with it. "There..." She said as the garment settled around her, her wings slipping threw the slits so it fit her perfactely.

Twrling she looked over at Flitch grinning from ear to ear, clapping her hands. "What do you think?"
