Members of the GN, GA, and ASDF. I was cruising the Forums, and there is one thing I noticed missing. An actual list of assets and forces. Sure you got some stuff like Ship Classes and Stats. But how many of those ships are there? How many bases? How many orbital stations of Radar/Artillery Doom? How many mecha squadrons?

I need a real inventory so I can accurately scale the incoming Plot to be a real challenge to the GNG. Not a push over.

And of course, I hope you can all keep track of your own Inventories as things... happen... to them.

At a Later Date, the NTC forces will be catalogued here. Feel free to NPC up some of the forces, just keep in mind to report kills/losses to me so I can update it.

Hmm well I finally came up with the BD member Jade truth.
it came to me 2 nights ago and he’s really twisted...

npc name: code name: Jade truth real name: Chao Liu Tengfei
nick name among zeon soldiers involved with BD: Crimson wind
history: until 20 years ago Chao was a Buddhist priest at the Pu Tuo Shan temple in china, there at that temple an ancient sword, said to have once been owned by a general during the war of the 3 kingdoms, has been kept guarded and sealed. Chao after many years could not stand his way of life no longer and wanted more, thus he took the sword and broke the seals on it as he unsheathed it.

Fallowing this from surviving priests a black wind crept from the blade and Chao slaughtered 30 priests and wounded 20 others before he was subdued. Chao has become violent and greedy and the blade had reacted to this. He was bound and gagged then sent down the mountain to be tried in the village, at the time the traveling group carrying Chao reached the village it was found to be under zeon attack and soon captured the group and Chao. The BD scientist who was with the forces took notice of Chao’s blacked heart and let him loose shortly after he slaughtered 3 of the villagers and started eating one of the remaining cattle while it was alive and standing.

Chao was taken to the BD research facility and modified as other subjects were, showing high-speed capabilities and high reaction times, as well as a natural use to any chine’s style weapon without practice. He shows a craving for meat and likes to eat it completely raw.

Upon applying powers to test subjects based from Goldbrease, Chao developed aero kinesis abilities. He was given his code name based off of his calm way of thinking even when he fought like he was deranged, and for his ability to manipulate wind. The soldiers gave him his second nickname as Chao liked to slice several targets apart with wind then suck there blood into the wind so that his targets could see the wind as it came at them.

A notice in the files reads under light to lightly moderate fire it is there has been no success to hit him with normal bullets as he surrounds himself with high velocity blades of wind that slice and deflect them away. If he gets out of hand refrain from using gas as he will just blow it away from himself and at you. Recommended method is to use medium sides squad equipped with rapid fire slim high velocity knockout darts, or to fire concentrated fluid sleeping drugs threw a high pressure hose at him, 3rd method is to wait for him to calm down and then hit him with a tranquilizer.

Second note reads beware that he can bend the air around him to reflect light and make himself appear to be invisible. Please have all test control squad members equipped with heat vision sensors in their goggles.

Piloted Mech: Jade Dragon

Details: not listed

I plan to insert him so onto Gambino Island. Truthfully rp wise his mech’s info isn’t in his personnel files it in another part of the database. In reality I have not been able to come up with a mecha that utilizes wind yet

He will be the first DB member to show up and depending on how things go and how soon I can think up new personalities.

I will make a ic profile for this guy when he apears.

If anyone wants to draw a picture for this twisted monk go for it. I came up with him 2 night ago while trying to fall alseep and.... he disturbs me but he fits what i was going for with this guy.

That is... a lot...

Make sure to include things like Shipyards, supply depots, manufacturing plants for military equipment, radar stations, space docks, Orbital Sattelites/stations of Doom, and the ilk.

I know this is quite a bit to ask... but it's hard to make an appropriate challenge without knowing what exactly I'm up against. sweatdrop

That and it helps me plan scenarios.

please define what a "appropriate challenge" would be against a country's entire military?
PostPosted: Wed Apr 25, 2007 12:04 pm

It doesn't matter what scale something is on, Appropriate Challenge means...

An opposing Force/Idea/Concept upon which Defeat at the hands of is entirely possible, no only that, but Likely during most of the plot if the Good Guys behave in a foolish/suicidal manner. However, weak enough that should the Allies come up with brilliant plans, great heroic actions, or get that Deus Ex Machina or Sole Weakness thing working they can still prevail.

At no time should the outcome appear "Certain".

For example, having Monolith go up against the GN base was not an Appropriate Challenge. It was pretty much locked and loaded, sealed and dealed that he was going to lose. He had no chance of victory, the only question was how long would it take for the GN to kill/capture it.

Nor should the enemy be of such power that Victory against them seems impossible. An example of this would be say... the Rebels against the First Death Star if there wasn't that one exhaust port. Or if it was shielded.

Compare another Appropriate Challenge. I play Axis and Allies occasionally so I gotta point to the war in the Pacific in World War II. In that the sides were fairly evenly matched, at the start. Sure, America has more resources, better manufacturing capacity, etc. However, Japan had just about knocked out the Pacific Fleet at the start. Hell, if they sent in a third wave to attack the base infrastructure at Pearl Harbor we probably would never have recovered from the losses sustained there. It was only because they didn't hit the shipyard, supply depots, factories, etc, that we were able to save as many ships as we did.

And still, at the beginning of the war they had a lot of momentum and power. A lot of American techology was subpar, such as their aircraft and torpedos, compared to what the Japanese were fielding. American Torpedos really did suck, hard. As did American Submarine Technology.

However, Japan despite its earlier position of Strength couldn't inflict enough casualties, or produce enough to keep up with America. Thus it was a long, bloody conflict. America prevails in the end. However, if the Japanese ever did get their "Decisive Battle", or managed to take out the bases in the Pacific Coast and Hawaii (Bremerton, San Diego, Panama and San Francisco being the "Major" ones), they could just as easily have won.

lol, you dont want much do ya? *goes to check spacedy forces*
PostPosted: Wed Apr 25, 2007 12:24 pm

Well Mister Decker, this should be a good exercise anyway. Get an actual inventory and stop people from pulling things that don't exist out of their a** just because it's a Nation's Military and thus Unlimited Resources. wink

I dealt with that sorta stuff too much in FFA and M/O to ever consider it fun. sweatdrop Nothing quite like actually outsmarting the enemy, beating their defenses, just to find out they have unlimited money, and the teleporter technology, to throw out new stuff in your path at instant speed. Stuff that just happens to be perfectly suited to foil your assault.

Not saying anyone in here would do such a thing. But I know that some people can be tempted into using such power.

mmm.. sorta sounds like what happened to me in halflife 2 while i was in the city the second time around, I had just goten out of a big fire fight and had one npc with a missile launcher with me and i ended up in a tunnel, one end was blocked by ruble the other was slear, i headed twards the clear direction and a walking gun pod smashed threw the ruble and started fireing at me, i couldn't go back the way i came and use my last 2 missiles on it. (takes about 7 to kill thoes things stressed ) and it ran by me and out of the tunnel while pelting at me with it machine gun, I took cover behind a plastic garbage can which for some odd reason blocked 95% of the fire for about 3 minutes while the npc slowly kept shooting the walker with missiles and finaly killed it. lucky me the npcs get unlimited ammo to there weapons.
well basicly i cowards behind a plastic trash can while drawing its attention so the npc could shoot it with missiles and kill it.

is this the type of challenge you wanting?

atleast its not the instant clone armys that make adult combatants in 3 seconds and clone armor and weapons and vehicles for them just as quick and then mass teleport them right ontop of you and continualy drop them onto you.

Oh Im not worried about inventory, Ive got it all (except for blue water vessels) had ship numbers and production centers listed since the first post.

I didnt list ABM endo/exo-atmospheric defenses as honestly they need revision, Ive learned alot since I posted it.

added spacedy/product/sats/etc.
EDIT: re-read that, I didnt mean to sound as if I dont care if people see it, more so I have no issue listing said resources for RP purposes, but it should be noted they are rough and not Active forces, just total forces. sweatdrop made me sound kind of cocky, not my intention.

Bah, don't worry about it Mister Decker.

Now, if anyone sees Miss Ai Leen on here, poke her into doing the ASDF.

And whatever guy inherited the control of the GA. If there are even any RPers left in the GA...

Huh... with your only ground forces being Marines... that'd be odd. At least the Marines have Tanks.

But then, Marines Make Do. Always have, always will. I'm sure the Marine Corps will find some way to accomplish their missions. 3nodding

To be honest I never expected the marines to be much but Ship based security and occasional dock security... since SPs cant be everywhere I suppose I should consider their outfitting as well. eh?.. thed porbaly be the most mechanized force in the navy, since most naval personnel would barely have access to body armor, let alone light powered armor, it is probably that I should go stat/draw that out as well...
PostPosted: Wed Apr 25, 2007 6:31 pm

Huh, I didn't think you put them in that role. Spotted that Marine Fighter, the Dragonfly, and the Marine Tank, so I figured they had the same role the modern marines have. Elite military, kickin' a** in the Land, Air, and Sea. wink
