Three hours of restless meditaion and Karma opened her eyes to look apon the glass room that she was sitting in.

The room was her own, she had filled every shelf and every table top with statues and vases, and anything else that was of a breakable fashion. Her logic behind this was to have breakable stuff around her when she meditated so that she would be forced to take better control over her powers, lest she loose all of those wanderful things.

Saddly though, as she opened her eyes, she realized that she had once again failed and found nearly half of the items in her room, nothing more than shards of glass on the floor.
Sighing a sigh of frustration she reached out with the mind and picked up each and every piece of glass, swirled them in the air and deposited them neatly into her waste basket. she then stood up from the colorful mat she had been sitting on, and slipped into a comfortable sarong, before leaving her room and heading to the blacony at the end of the hall.
From there she looked out apon the courtyard and the few random students that were wandering between late classes, or the mess hall.

For a moment a twinkle came into her eye, as an idea popped into her mind. There are so many new students, and so many of the ones that have been here are stuck in a boring routine, lets give em something to talk about
With that thought in her mind, she closed her eyes and began to glide along the balcony's rail in a very intricate and graceful dance formation. Slowly as she was dancing, lights began to form around her, and soft up beat music began to play. the longer she danced the brighter the lights became and the louder the music was, until the entire campus was iluminated in colorful firework like sparkles of light and everyone's ears were filled with sweet, happy music, that made everyone want to sing or dance, or just enjoy the sites.

Airolina looked out her window to watch the girl dance. A sudden urge came over her and she then decided to start dancing in her room.

Each student that took on the mysteriously upbeat beat and began to dance, even more firework-like glowing sparkles appeared, eminating around those dancing students

As she danced on the balcony Karma heard some one scream, it was such a desperate scream that karma suddenly stopped dancing, causing the music and the lights to magically disapate as quickly as they had magically appeared.
She looked out into the darkness and saw nothing. But part of her knew that some where out there beyond the main campus, in the dense woods that surrounded it, something wasn't right.
She lept off of the balcony and floated gently to the ground 6 stories below, and as her feet touched the ground she sent out a mental vibration in all directions. Should the person in need be a mutant, they would sense it and come towards her, and in any other direction that the vibration floated, if it encountered a mutant student, it would call them to her aide, so that she may have reinforcements to encounter what ever danger lay with in those woods.

Adrenaline rushing through her like a waterfall, Emily continued to run towards the school. Suddenly, without warning, she heard a mysterious call. But she didn't actually hear it. She felt it. She knew that this wasn't a trap and that that was exactly the way she needed to go. Changing her direction slightly to aim that way, she looked behind her to see the other falling back. He must have felt the call too, and knew that following it would be dangerous. Emily and her counterpart both laughed, and she ran to find Karma standing in front of the school. She stopped in front of her, trying to catch her breath. Then, suddenly, she ran to Karma and gave her a gigantic hug. "Thank you," said Emily, on the verge of tears.

Kineta Storm
Karma was shocked at the sudden appearence of one of their newest students, out of breath, and looking quite upset. But the new student's appearance didn't startle her, so much as the Giant hug and the look on the girls face.

As she gently pulled away from Emily, she looked her in the eyes and said "I think perhaps you and I should talk". With that said she grabbed the other girls hand and then squatted on the ground. A second later her feet forced her up quickly, and up they went, as she pulled Emily with her and floated up 3 stories, to the balcony that sat there.

Ailinea
Taken aback by the sudden push upwards, Emily regained her footing on the balcony once they landed and unconsciously looked down at the ground below. "Whoa," she said, and then looked back up at Karma, wiping away her tears. "OK, we'll talk," said Emily, her voice still trembling a bit, but feeling more calm.

Karma nodded, and letting go of Emily's hand, started to head down the hall, She took her first right down the hall, and walked past a door on either side before turning left and walking to the end of the new hall, where a single plain wooden door stood.

She opened the door and gestured for Emily to enter first. At first sight the room just seemed dark, but as a light on the ceiling turned on, and their eyes adjusted, They could see that before them was a small room with deep blue walls, and lush green carpet. The walls, and the pale yellow ceiling both seemed to shimmer, as if fairy dust had been sprinkled all over them.
A small desk-like table stood under the solitary window on the opposite wall, whose curtains were pulled tightly closed to block out any light from entering the room. The only other furnature in the room was a therapy couch made of soft lavender velvet, and two round papzan ((yes i know i spelled the wrong)) chairs, with matching soft lavender cushions.
The couch Sat about 2 feet from the wall to the right, and the chairs were a mere four feet infront of the couch.

Karma naturally slipped off her shoes as she entered and sat down with her legs crossed, in the far papazan chair. With a simple thought to the walls around her, and some very soft, soothing music began to play (so quietly that if you made any noise, or weren't thinking about it, you probably wouldn't notice it.) and a tea kettle and two cups appeared on the table by the window.

Emily stepped nervously into the room, though when she saw its inviting comfort, she eased up a little. She sat down on the couch, enjoying the softness and smoothness of it, and coupled with the music, relaxed immediately. She didn't really want to go into detail about what had just happened; right now she just wanted to sleep and forget it all happened. But she knew it was something that the professor needed to know and sooner or later she'd have to give it up. Might as well get it over with. She looked up at Karma and forced a smile. "Professor," she began, "do all... people like us know about this school?" She knew it was a stupid question, but she felt that she needed to get the topic going somewhere.

Karma smiled sweetly "I'm no proffessor, just a student like yourself. I've just been here for so long, that sometimes i act like i own the place" she said as her kind smile broadened. Then as she continued her smile faded into a gentle, but serious, straight face
"And No, not all people like us know about the Academy, That's primarly what Professor Ivy and I do. You see, Professor Exavier, he's the creator of this school, uses his mental abilities to find mutants who are beginning to discover their powers, then he sends Lady Ivy, and usually me too, out to invite them to join our school. But usually, until then, people don't have the slightest clue about this place. And sometimes those people that we invite to come, refuse to come." She ended with a small sigh, and a slight shake of her head, as if dissapointed.

Emily listened to her, taking in her words. She wondered briefly why anyone would not want to come. Then she thought about the two mutants who tried to kidnap her. "Earlier, before I ran to you, two other... people tried to take me somewhere. They weren't friendly and tried to make me mad. I got away, but they obviously know about the school, but why would they take me and why do some... others not want to come to this school? It seems like it can help a lot with understanding yourself."

Karma thought about that for a second then responded "I'm not sure why they would want to take you personally,..... But Exavier teaches us, not only how to use our powers to the best of our ability, but how to get along with, and even help the nonmutants in the world,.... There are some mutants out there who oppose this part of our teachings, They would rather Kill anyone who doesn't approve of mutants, than try to get along with them,....... Sometimes that even includes trying to kill, or use 'good' mutants"
She looked at Emily, and decided to elaborate on the last part of her speach. "You see, no matter how many of us mutants there are in the world,.. No two of us are alike, everyone has their own unique powers, and each power has a usefulness in the world, The 'bad' mutants often try to acquire some of us who have powers that they wish to be able to use in their fight against the humans and the rest of us....... And with out knowing anything about your powers, I could not begin to guess why those two were after you."

The silence between the two of them lasted for what seemed like forever, finally Karma decided to say something to hopefully ease the worry that was evident on Emily's face. ((forgive me aili, if you aren't worried, feel free to change it or let me know and i'll change it, i was just tired of sitting around))

She looked around the room and then rested her gaze on Emily, took a slight breath, and then while intently gazing apon Emily's face, began to speak "As I mentioned I'm not a teacher, But I am what some people reffer to as the Keeper" she said and mulled that over in her head a minute before continuing "You see, I'm good with people, (most everyone likes me)" she said with a smile "I'm quick to figure things out,.... actually i adore a puzzle or a good mystery" She said, thinking of some of the mischief she had gotten into in the past for being to damn curious. "And my mind is impenetrable" she finished, as she tapped her finger to her head.

"So, you see, quite often my job is to assist people in either figuring out what their mutant powers are, if they're new to being a mutant, or help them understand the limitations or weaknesses of their powers" She paused to take a sip of tea as she tossed some ideas of what to say around in her head. "Usually when we get new students here at the Academy, I find a time to meet with each of them, sometimes it's just to talk, because they already know what they are capable of, but more often then not, it's to help them come to some kind of a realization about themselves and their powers."

"My job is not to tell them what they can and can not do, it is to help them to figure it out on their own" She paused momentarily to look around the room once more. "Perhaps when you entered the room you felt a tingly sensation, it should have passed once you walked through the doorway, but none-the-less, that sensation indicates to anyone that is familiar with it, that this room has a barrier. That barrier does many things,..... First it keeps a Mutants powers (no matter what they are) either in the room, or out of the room, you see, if i were to demonstrate my powers in here, they would not, and could not go beyond these walls, the same goes for out side of this room, if somebody was using their powers out in the halls, they would have no affect on those of us with in the room...... Also, the barrier blocks out noise, and thoughts, as you can tell, we can't hear anything that is going on out in the hall, or down on the grounds, and in return no one can hear us,.... and to top it all off, I am the only one with access to this room, and no one may enter with out my permission."

She glanced at the covered window, thoughfully, and then glanced back at Emily. "So, I guess i've told you what I do, and how no one can penetrate these walls, to steal the information that is shared with in them, but I havent' yet told you why, I do this, and not some one else who is just as quick on their feet and friendly." She paused and waited for a sign from Emily that she was still listening.

Emily nodded, but was still a bit confused. She figured that she would just work it out later in her head.

"Karma, I left my parent's house because I was a danger to them," she began. "I was fine, had a good life, but then things.... changed. I felt ashamed of myself. I felt... dirty. And then one day I just... lost control. I knew that one day I could seriously harm my family. And then, they found out, and I never knew what kind of people they were until they found out what I was. They made me so mad, I had to leave before I did anything. I was mad at them, but I still loved them." She paused, looking at the floor and absentmindedly picking at her fingers. "Do you think... I could be fixed?" She knew it sounded immature, but she knew there was no way she would be able to control herself. She didn't want to let that evil person out again. She just wanted her gone. Her cheeks flushed as she looked up abashedly at Karma.

"Fixed?" Karma asked. "Do you mean, you wish to lose your special powers?" She asked, her voice sounding slightly sad at the idea, yet understanding.

Emily gave a nervouse laugh. "Haha, it's stupid, I know, forget I ever said it." She fidgeted to change the subject, suddenly feeling very ashamed of herself. "Can I ask how you dealt with it when you knew you were different?"

Karma felt sorry for the other girl, she had met many others that had wished to loose their powers, but saddly she knew of no way to grant them their wish. As Emily directed a question at her, she looked up at the ceiling thinking, and then looked back at Emily to respond. "Well, it was far from the right thing to do" she began, "But then again i didn't know what i was doing, and I was so young, I had no hope of controlling the things around me." she paused for a moment, seeming to stare off into space, and then focused back on Emily, "I just kept running away, and each time, i'd get caught and sent to a new foster home, so i'd run away again" Then her expression turned almost sad "I didnt' want to hurt anybody, and I didn't know what else do to, but to stay far far away from them." Then her expression brightened suddenly "Storm and Cyclops saved my life, they registered as adoptive parents and requested me. Jean must have rigged the whole thing, but either way, it worked, and i've been here ever since."
