Planned parenthood is asking for donations so they can build up a legal defence against the unjust recent law against abortion past the first trimester. I hope that anyone who can donate will do so as they are our biggest hope for change. Gah!
I wish they had paypal as an option. I was going to donate (not much, only something like $50, I don't have a whole lot of money.) but they only have payment by credit card.

Yeah, that really does put a damper on their fund raising. I don't understand why they don't have paypal on there.
While fifty bucks may not seem like much it really does help.

I'm too broke to donate and I don't like asking my parents for charity money, so I don't do a lot of donating for now. However, whenever PP, NOW, or NARAL emails me with a petition or letter to write to the government I do as asked and email the petition/letter to my mother, who does the same.

I donated $35. I wanted to do more, but I can't go and max out that credit card.

I've joined NOW. I intend to join NARAL. (They sent me a registration packet in the mail.) I've signed petitions and written automated letters to my representative (only to be written back some anti-choice, anti-EC automated letter), and to my senators (Boxer and Feinstein, both pro-choice. =D ) I will try to donate to Planned Parenthood, maybe when I go there for birth control. I am 18 and do not have a credit card or checking account. My mother gave me a check to join NOW. I debated abortion in government class, and won. I do not hide the fact that I am pro-choice and a feminist, because shame lets them think that those are bad things. I have written a pro-choice letter to the editor of a local newspaper about an antichoice editorial. My letter was published.

Thanks for posting the links to those groups, I'm sure many of our guild members will be interested in checking them out.
I'm so glad that everyone (in this thread at least) is trying to help. Even if you don't have money, signing the NARAL email Petition or writing to your Representative helps! (and you can forward the message to all your pro-choice family and friends.)

I'm writing to my represenatives, even though they've long since given up on actually replying to me, and I'm writing an editorial about FACTS on abortion and why the new ruling is a BAD thing for the World-Herald, and the Bellevue Leader and Air Pulse if I can get it published. Being the only pro-choicer in my circle I can't really get anyone else involved though.

I'd contribute if I could, but in Canada, abortion is a non-issue, and my MP is Conservative anyway, so that's a no. As for donating, no means.
