Funny, in a weird way, how pro-lifers like to personify the fetus, giving it human qualities where there are none? People laugh at Peta members who personify animals. Yet, because the fetus does have the POTENTIAL to be a person, and has human dna, nobody laughs as hard when precious fettii is described as sucking their thumb, kicking, thinking, screaming, being called a baby, or whatever the hell propaganda in the "Silent Scream" video showcases.

If we played a picture of a fetus that looks remotely fish-and-human-shaped, being a retarded lump of cells gathering together and floating around, sucking nutrients parasitically via connection of an umbilical cord and placenta, I guess people would have a little bit of a harder time justifying just HOW the fetus is equal to, or trumps a living, breathing, intelligent female. Because if you ask me, that s**t reminds me of alien hibernation chambers in sci-fi movies, not a giggling, smiling, active, bratty small child with characteristically-colored hair, eyes, and skin.

As IF anyone remembers what it was like to be a fetus in the friggin' womb.

...Not to mention the stupid "Mommy you killed me, I'm now sitting in Jesus's lap" letters, where pro-lifers pretend to actually know what fetii think in order to pretend to write for them. Personally, if you ask me, those letters sound patronizing against the fetus's themselves. Imagine how audacious it is to claim that YOU know how a "being" who "can't speak for itself" FEELS.

It's an emotional ploy to try and make us reject our rational thinking and instead rely in irrational emmotions.

When you see a puppy and go "awwww cute" you aren't thinking "I'm going to have to house train him, spend hundreds of dollars a year to feed him, spend thousands on vet bills assuming he gets sick, give him flea baths once a month, possibly face a huge mess exterminating fleas should he get them, etc..."

In the same way when pro lifers say "awwwwww baby!" they are relying on this emotion to overwhelm you and stop you from thinking rationally about how the fetus infringes upon the woman's body, how we would not allow this for any born person, how born children have no claim upon their parents' organs, how there are already countless unwanted born children to deal with before we bring in more, etc...

Of course, they will claim we are de-humanizing it by looking at it in a cold manner... by calling it a blob of cells we ignore the already developed human features it may have, etc. Of course, as far as I am concerned it could be a newborn infant and I'd still have no trouble killing it if it were infringing upon my body, causing serious harm to my physical and mental wellbeing, and the only way to get it to stop was its death (like a fetus).

I have nothing against humanizing the fetus.

However, when humanizing the fetus comes with the dehumanization of the woman, or when the fetus covers the entire screen and the woman are ignored?

Often times it boils down to this: "If we take enough focus off of the living, suffering women, the public will eventually ignore her and forget she is ALIVE!"

Which in turn is why we call them anti-woman, anti-reality and just overall forgetting the most important part of the abortion. THE DAMN WOMAN GETTING IT.

I hate when people personify things. With living breathing animals it's fine, I get it. With fetuses? No. Damn you learn biology!

PS: Recently I've seen people claim WE don't know 8th grade biology because it states that a fetus has a heartbeat at 8 weeks. PLEASE don't tell me they're campaign is mucking up good old human biology and the whole abstinence only s**t is a cover up for what they're doing to biology.

My physics teacher told us that "babies" only see black and white while they're in the womb. I tried to tell her that a fetus doesn't even open its eyes until right before it's born, but she wouldn't listen to me and said "hm, maybe one of you could research that," because as it turns out she wasn't really sure. I know we were just talking about eyes and light rays and refraction, but it was still annoying to hear a science teacher humanize a fetus like that.

If i remember correctly when we did Reproduction it was very impersonal, focused more on the cells dividing forming this or that and noone even suggested it was a person till the umbilical cord was cut.
