I just want to know which you guys like better because personally I like Genbu Kaiden much better. The heroine is more responsible and is independent unlike Miaka.

Hm... They both have their good points.... It's hard to tell! Although currently I think I like Genbu Kaiden a little better...

I hope the four that voted Fushigi Yuugi have actually read Genbu Kaiden o_O Because while I love the Suzaku/Seiryuu arc I most definitely prefer Genbu Kaiden. Thank god for Watase-sensei coming up with stronger female characters lately. Takiko is such a nice and refreshing change from Miaka, and she's not so silly as to get all wrapped up in her obvious love interest, Rimudo, right away. It's taking time for them to really evolve their relationship and I like that, more believeable that way. I'm also enjoying the surprises along the way. Over all I'm just loving this series more than I did the Suzaku/Seiryuu story.

The problem is that Genbu Kaiden isn't over yet so it's so hard to choose. Their plots are somewhat similar but the characters are what makes the stories really good. ^_^ so I'm not sure yet.

Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden!!! at the moment that is, I need to finish Fushigi Yuugi before saying anymore... skipping in and out of that series uhh! >.<
anyone know where i can get Fushigi Yuugi anime or manga scanlation from the beginning?

I think Genbu Kaiden is a lot better because the chracters...are just a tad bit better!!! Rimudo/Uruki is really cool and Takiko act a lot better than Miaka!! The storyline is a whole lot better and it is a lot more intresting!! I hope they make it into an anime someday!! >.< whee

Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden. I say this because I like the main character and the setting more. I also like the way its drawn Vs. the other fushigi yugi, Miaka bugs me! I think she is so annoying, sorry miaka fans!

I'm forced to say Fushigi Yuugi, only because I haven't read Genbu Kaiden yet. sweatdrop
From what I've heard though, Genbu Kaiden sounds really cool. I can't wait until it comes stateside (Isn't that really soon? Didn't it just get licensed not long ago?) whee
