White fur rippled with every step taken, tail flickering nervously, violet eyes studying the vast expanse before her intently. A shiver went down her spine as memories flickered across her mind.
She had been so happy the day she first met the salmon male, he had offered her a home, a place to belong to, then as she grew she was marked with tripple V's upon her haunch as a sign of her loyalty to him.....She let him have his way, let him take her body...What a fool she had been playing into his traps, just a pawn for him to use then toss away when he was bored of her. She had trusted him and he had abandoned her.
How could he? Who else had been playing the same games with her? Angamika? K'Anatak? Everyone?
"I can't trust anyone anymore...." The pale lioness whispered to herself as she moved, it was better to get away from this all. To run until she couldn't run anymore.

His black eyes were focused upon the ground beneath him as he tred almost silently along. He wasn't sure where he was going really, he just needed to find her, tell her he was sorry, tell her he didn't mean for anything bad to happen, tell her how he felt for her, how he loved her. K'Anatak wondered if he would find her before his brother might, how terrible it would be if his brother ever found the goddess he longed to see. Chaos and his doings, how he wished to seek out the dlarge dark male, seek revenge upon him, but hoe could he? It was impossible, it really was.
K'Anatak's wings were somewhat down, the tips dragging against tbhe ground. The pure white getting coated in a light cover of dust from the earth. But he didn't care, he was still searching for her, though he didn't know how much further he could go. He hated feeling like this, hated feeling alone.
He wished he could've done something, something to help, to stop it, he only hoped his other friends were having a better time then he was.

The inner turmoil that the female was facing felt as if it was tearing her apart and that she was helpless to stop it. Shaking her head she tried to think of happy times but she had no luck because every memory she had involved those that she did not wish to think about. Right now all she wanted was to be alone in silence. For once Malika was glad that no one else was around, she needed to stay away from everyone, she didn't want to be hurt and confused as she was now.
Her ears flicked back as she thought she had heard something brushing against the ground. The lioness shook her head trying to shake away everything.
Her steps began to grow in number as she picked up her pace.
I need to run, run as far as possible and escape everything I need.... Her thoughts trailed off unsure of what she really needed, did she really need to be running?
Regardless of what she need she broke out into a full run going as fast as her paws would take her.

A white figure. Vaguely familiar, was it a reflection, of himself running out there? Hmm, was he developing new powers of reflection? No, the other wasn't a male, the other was thinner He flicked his tail, familiar though, very familiar. Should he delve, dive deep into the other? No, not when he realized there was green on the other. "Malika..." he said quietly, raising to his paws and now running after her.
Chasing a friend.
Perhaps her company could sooth his soul for a bit, end the turmoil in his heart. "Malika, its alright, stop running," he called out, but wasn't sure if she could hear. He readied his wings, just in case he had to take flight to catch up to her. She was running fast, faster then he had seen before.
Was she in trouble?

A voice was calling to her, calling her name, telling her to stop.
Her paws ached, pained from all of the running she had done recently but she could not stop. It seemed like she was always running ever since she had heard the news of his death...
Damn him.
This is all HIS fault.
Why did he have to die on me?
Why did he leave me alone?
Malika was alone, she always would be. That was a fact that she knew she would have to accept as much as she didn't want to. The white lioness with green markings shook her head trying to free herself of every memory, every thought, everything that reminded her of that lying b*****d.
She pushed herself, willed herself to go fast to escape whoever was calling her, telling her it was alright. It wasn't though, it wasn't alright and Malika wasn't going to stop, not until her paws gave out from under her. Not until she was forced to.

K'Anatak's eyes narrowed as she seemed to push herself more to evade her, had he done somehting wrong? He did not mean to go so long without coming back to see her, honestly he didn't. What had happened that he hadn't been there for her, what had he missed, what had he missed? "Malika!" he called, he jumped into the air, letting his wings carry him faster. His black orbs settled upon her and he got closer and closer to her, he didn't want to slam into her though, so he used his second pair of wings to push himself farther ahead of her, just a bit.
Then he landed and stopped.
Now she'd see him, see him, stop, or see him and crash into him.
Either way, she'd stop running.

Malika had been running so fast that she couldn't have stopped even if she tried to. Instead the white female barreled straight into the god. The lioness had tried to stop, or to at least slow down but instead she trippled rolling head over paws into the large white male.
Malika groaned from the force and pain of the impact but didn't attempt to flee again because she wasn't sure what had just happened. All she could think of was that she had been running and suddenly she wasn't any longer. "Ugh...." The female mumbled staggering back slightly as her vision went fuzzy then normal, fuzzy then normal repeatively.

She didn't stop, seemed like he had cut in front of her too fast too soon, as she crashed into him, he toppled over, but it didn't really hurt, just knocked the wind out of him slightly. He shook his head,mane falling into his view as he stood up, and looked towards Malika. Something was wrong, something was very wrong. "Are you alright...Malika, whats wrong?"

Malika shook her head, she just kept shaking her head repeatively like she didn't know what was going on. Then the lioness began mumbling, mumbling the same phrase over and over again. "Go away.....go away..just go away...." There was a second pause before she began mumbling again "Just leave before you hurt me anymore...."
Malika wasn't really talking to K'Anatak but more to the imaginary male beside him but in a way she was talking to him as well. "Please...I can't go through anymore, spare me."

"Malika..." his voice fell, ears fell back as his eyes focused on her. He felt hurt again, hurt again now, not as deeply as it hurt with not being able to find Momo, help Momo, but Malika was a friend. He was hurting again, he too wanted this to stop. "Malika look up, I've never hurt you Malika, Malika look up its K'Anatak..don't you remember?"
Had he really been gone for so long that she forgot about him?

"If you haven't already, what's stopping you from doing so in the future?" The pale lioness questioned still not really talking to the male before her. Malika wasn't sure if she could believe the words coming out of the lion's mouth before her. She couldn't trust anyone, not now.....not anymore, not after everything Nyekundu had put her through.
"Remember? I....I....I don't remember anything but pain....." She mumbled. Her violet colored eyes had a glazed looked to them as she spoke recalling only the suffering she had been put through since the death of her king.

K'Anatak took a step back from her, watched her, his black eyes focused on her, and went wide. Hurt her? Why in the world would he ever harm her? She was his friend, one of his good friends, she had been their when he needed to talk, and he had hoped he had been there for her when she needed him too. Guess he missed something, missed something big. But who had hurt hurt? Why? He felt angry, an anger like that he felt for his brother, for Dath for hurting Momo.
Anger at himself for not being there when he had obviously been needed.
Bathsheba would be disappointed in him, seemed like he had not paid extreme attention to his duty to who needed his help, duty to his friends. He felt horrible, angry at himself, why hadn't he been there? He knew why, he was still upset and saddened by what happened to Momo, upset by Dath, he had even been beaten by his own brother. Why hadn't he paid more attention?
First he had failed Momo, now Malika, who was next?
"I'd never hurt you Malika, why would I hurt friend?" but he had hurt Momo, indirectly, Dath had gotten to Momo because he had not been there to protect her. Had the same thing happened to Malika? Why...why was he starting to hurt those he cared for? "Pain? Who hurt you Malika, who hurt you?"
He narrowed his eyes at the horizon line for a moment...if it was Dath, he'd find him...and try to kill him. Even his brother...he'd see revenge to whoever had hurt Malika. But then again, he was the god of reflection, he was supposed to help others, not hurt them, but still...this hurt he felt, and his friends were feeling. Something had to be done. If not by him, by someone else's paws.

Malika continued to shake her head. "Everyone gets hurt by those closest to them....even if they try not to...." She rambled, her violet eyes cast off to the distances, away from K'Anatak. "How can I know you won't?" She questioned tilting her head toward him just ever so slightly.
"Someone I trusted, someone I thought would be there for me.." The lioness mumbled still shaking her head, like it was too hard for her to really speak of it. She couldn't say his name, afterall what good would it do her? It was too late, he was already dead, he had already abandoned her, left her alone with nothing to believe in. Nothing to have faith or hope in any longer
"What's the point?"

"Because you know me Malika, I'm your friend, don't you remember?" his voice was soothing, calming, why, why would she feel like this? This hurt him even more, hurt him so much on the inside with the rest of the pain he already felt, his heart ached of pain. "Maybe they weren't there for you for a reason? I'll always be there when you need me Malika, that I promise," he said with a nod, his white mane falling into the view of his black eyes.
"There's a point to go on with everyone, to keep going..."

Malika just shook her head saying nothing more, almost refusing to listen to him, to his words.....Yet she still listened, a part of her at least. The part that wasn't suffering, the side of her that had know that Nyek would end up hurting her in the end, from the very begining.....
"Why weren't you there then? When he hurt me? When I needed a friend and none could be found?" The cried bitterly, her violet eyes narrowed with anger and gathered tears. "Why weren't you there to stop me from running......why?"
Malika knew that it wasn't fair to be so cruel and hurtful to her dear friend, her only friend really, but she couldn't help it. All the pent up rage that had collected when she had first learned of Nyek's death was just exploding. Exploding at the most innocent person that it could.
