A crystal clear lake can be seen as you walk the path that leads to the Pagoda. The water's surface relfects the clear sky above and shares the beauty around it. With calm waters, a relaxing aura seems to eminate from the lake, urging anyone who walks by to stop for a moment and admire the beauty of the water...

Cassie walked along the path of the lake, calling out in elven for the animals that she had met what seemed like only a short time ago.
"Yui, Feo, Skye, Aero, Kie, Rein!! Are you out here?!"
All of a sudden, a few cries from the sky made Cassie look up at the sky and squint into the sun. A hawk and a crow descended from the heavens and landed on each of Cassie's shoulders, pecking at her hair and clothes in affection.
"Two down, four to find... Are you two hungry?"
Aero, the crow, nodded and eyed the food that Cassie was carrying.
Did you bring any bugs?
Cassie nodded and smiled. "Yes, I brought bugs, and I brought meat for you as well, Skye."
Skye, a hawk, nodded, then looked at the great blue above from which he was named.
Thank you, Cassie. Luthien will be along soon, and she will have Sune with her.
Cassie nodded, then turned to her horse companion.
"How are you holding up, Coal?"
Eh? Fine. I thought I heard Rein and Kie.
Cassie nodded. "I was shouting loud enough, so they should be along any minute..."
Cassie continued to walk down the lake's path, her great black stallion companion right behind her.

Cassie stopped underneath a very shady oak tree.
"This looks like a nice spot..." she said, kneeling down on the grass under the tree.
Coal turned to look behind him, having heard the clip clop of hooves on the ground. Coming up the path was a deer and another horse, but this horse was a pure snow white and had blue eyes.
Coal trotted over to greet the two newcomers, neighing at them softly.
Kie, the deer, lowered his head in greeting at he trotted past Coal, coming underneath the tree to kneel down next to Cassie.
Rein, the other horse, greeted Coal with nickers and nuzzles, then the two walked togther over to the shade of the tree, settling down next to one another and next to Kie.
Cassie smiled at the horse couple, shaking her head in amusement. She turned to Kie.
"Kie, where are Yui and Feo? They both have better hearing than you two do..."
Kie shook his head, his antlers swaying slightly.
Sorry, Cassie, but I do not know where they are.

I can't believe I was so stupid. It's lucky I didn't attack Tochi or Hikari. If Ryu hadn't shown me his true intentions, I really might have attacked those two. And what will happen the next time? Perhaps I really should leave. Tonight would be as good a time as any.....

If Takara hadn't been so involved in firing her arrows, she would have seen a very large Golden retriever walkup behind her. Something bothering you?

*Hikari watched Takara fire her bow repeatedly. She was hitting the target, but something was off about her form. She seemed distracted, but that is not suprising all things considered. As Takara goes to sit by the lake, Hikari approaches her.*
Takara, how are you feeling? Better I hope
*She kneels in the grass and pulls the sword out from her belt. With deft skill, she presents it in a formalish fashion to Takara*
Your sword. You dropped it. It's beautiful.
*Hikari decided not to say too much. Takara would talk about what she wanted to. She sat back in the grass and dangled her feet in the shallow water*

Oh, I am just fine. Dont worry, my wound is healed. I've had much worse.
*Hikari began to fiddle with a dandelion growing near to her.*
May I ask...if it's alright...who were those men? I mean, should we all be on the lookout for more attackers? And you know Cole would never let anyone get in her and start something.

I don't think there will be any more demons for a while, it will take some time for the clan to send new ones. But I'm sure a group of human bounty hunters sent by my Mother's village is nearby. I'm going to be leaving soon, so no one has to be bothered. Once I leave, the hunters will leave as well."

Tochi sat down behind Takara, not saying anything. He made up his mind. If Takara had to leave because of hunters, He would take care of them. He knew what he must do. He absentmindedly scratched Nina on her head.

*Hikari didn't know what else to say to Takara. She didn't want anyone to feel like they had to leave... Just before Takara left, Hikari finally yelled to her*
What good is a sanctuary if you can't use it to try and get away? If people come after you, that is their own damn decision! Let the consquences of their actions fall where they may! I will never tire of fighting against those who wish to disturb our peace, I say let them come!!
*Takara slowly went out of hearing range... Frustrated, Hikari chucks a huge stone into the lake. It skips about 4 times and makes a somewhat satisfying 'thunk' as it hits the water. Hikari wanted to go talk to Takara some more, but she felt like that wouldn't do any good right now. So, she settled for a long swim in the lake and hoped Takara wouldn't leave too soon*
