I remember when i was with my ex and I started to feel like he didn't love me anymore, I started listening to dragonfly, and the powerful violin in the song put pretty pictures in my head, and then I felt better.

I don't know why, but when I listen to that song, I feel powerful. no clue why. Maybe it's the violin.

The violin is one of the most fundemental parts of CXS music.
Although every once in a while I like a little Combichrist, Covenant, or VNV Nation.

The violin is truly one of CXS's most powerful assets. And Dragonfly is a superb example of what can be done with an excellent musician and an equally skilled writer.

Speaking of pictures in heads......errr...or something.... I had the strangest dream last night about Rogue. We were at a hotel in a big conference room type thingie...lots of people there...Rogue was sick or not feeling well or something. For some reason the dream left me feeling really nervous. Meh....I don't know.

All the little children All dressed in black With their darkened eyes And holy artifacts Mamas watch your babies Keep them safe and sound Don't let them play in graveyards Don't let them find this out
Last year, right before my birthday, I had a very strange dream about them. It was my birthday, and my neighbors were having a concert with you know who, and I was watching, being very jealous, and then they packed all their stuff up and came over to my backyard and held another concert for my birthday. Hmm. Weird s**t, huh?
Peculiarities speaking Arising from their mouths It must be the devil Making these horrid sounds Speak no evil, baby Your daddy told you twice Don't be some sort of freak Lost lonely in the night

I agree that Dragonfly is a good example of cXs' violin abilities, but I'd also have to say that Binary and Deception are good examples of cXs' violin capabilities.
Deception puts beautiful images of a stage in my mind. (one day I will draw this) and on the stage are a set of dancers behind a pale man with long black hair and red eyes that looked as if they would pierce right through you if he stared at you, but they have a soft glaze over them, making them look sharp but peaceful. The man is wearing a black poet's shirt and a pair of simple black pants with a pair of black shiny dress shoes. He sings without a microphone with words to the song as he plays the violin, his body swaying slightly to the beat. His hair moving slightly with his sways and his eyes focus on nothing, enrapt in the music.
The dancers themselves are all girls dressed in something out of the ordinary (im not sure yet what but I have some idea), skirts made from bone burned black with clear plastic between each bone makes each knee-length skirt. They too are pale, and have long, sharp nails painted black. They dance, turning to the beat, and with each sharp snap of the beat, they turn quickly on bare heels with some sort of small anklet on each right foot, and clap hands with eachother in a line. Each girl has short, almost fake-looking black hair, and their makeup is done so extraordinarily, that they look like masks over their faces.
The theatre is grand, and has over 100,000 seats, red curtains made from heavy velvet are slightly visible, hanging on the upper corners of the stage.
During the fast-paced violin solo towards the end, the man sets his mind entirely on playing the violin, his body completely engulfed in the complex movements that come with playing the beautiful animal in his hands. The dancer's movements would quicken, and he dance become more extavagant.
And thats all I have so far.
~
I think about this kind of thing with every song I listen to. I'm not sure if everyone does, and above is just one example of something I 'see' when I listen to a song. so, I kinda have a question here, does anyone else see things like this whenever they listen to the Cruxshadows, or any music in that matter.

Not true! A greater portion of CxS shows are ALL AGES!!! There was a four year old at the last show I went to. Of course there are still asshat clubs out there who ban under 18-ers from a family friendly show.
